That's a mouthfull of a title

I know, and I didn't have room to explain in the title that I'm the guy who usually unboxes the new technology on the rare occasion that we actually get some. So people see me unboxing a new monitor and they're like, "MINE? MINE?"

We have people using 15" monitors that came with the 9-year-old computers they have on their desks. I actually use my personal laptop at work rather than use the iMac G4 I was given back in 2004.

But at least I have a job, I gotta be grateful for that, eh?

Home office; workplace; coworker; So the bird is your wife/significant other?

Funny, the monitor was a gift from my wife. I have a home office and a work office, and I didn't know that was unusual.

Oh, shit, now I get it. I'm an idiot, carry on :D

Cute.

MINE?

23" eh? How... adequate.

[–]yyx9 2 points3 points ago

My thoughts exactly! Very pedestrian and marginally enticing AT BEST.

The largest current monitor at my workplace is 19 inches.

I'm very spoiled then. My work processes medical images, so they need these gorgeous Dell H2011E monitors 24" with DVI, VGA, and Display port (looks like HDMI, but isn't) hook ups, these things are gorgeous. We also have these incredibly high resolution, completely black and white monitors that are 22" and cost 3,200$ each. Those ones are DVI.

Yah 23 is kinda ...average ...

My desk isn't real big at home, and 23" is bigger than anything anyone at my work is using. I suppose I could've exaggerated the size for effect but it's just a joke (albeit based on a real experience).
