My mind was just fucking blown by the connection it just made. I remember reading a post explaining in detail the tactics abusive partners use to keep their wife/girlfriend from leaving... I feel like i should have made this connection earlier. Religions use these same tactics...

People who are theists say that their god loves them but what kind of love demands obedience or torture along with a set of rules that one side had no say in? I would say god is a bit insecure and needs to see someone about that....like Cthulhu maybe =)
