What kind of snake venom was this?

Hemotoxins cause the blood to coagulate which will cause a drop in blood pressure, or it can cause excessive bleeding, to kill.

Neurotoxins are the other variety and of course effect the nervous system, and usually causes death by asphyxiation (paralysis of the diaphram).
