If you look closely it he does a little kick right before the snow hits the kid. Maybe he intended to trow it and destroy it with a football kick to look cool? But he realized that the kid was to close and he could not kick?

Earlier today I saw someone write: "That would have avoided any undo problems..."

And now you say: "to undue his mistake."

I didn't realize the confusion between undo (to unfasten, untie, cancel, or reverse) and undue (unwarranted because excessive or disproportionate) was so widespread.
