I'd say that equal rights is actually a subordinate argument to financial considerations. If you're legally married, you can file your tax return jointly at a lower rate, if your spouse loses his or her job you can claim them as a dependent, if your spouse doesn't have healthcare you can put him or her on your company's healthcare plan, you can visit your spouse if he or she is in intensive care in the hospital, you can keep your house from being repossessed if your spouse's medical bills bankrupt him or her. People are losing their homes and lives because bigots don't want them to get married.

Oh, come on. A little ridiculous drama now and then can be interesting to watch. And I didn't know it was a repost or I'd have voted it down to begin with. Now I gotta go fix my vote.

Me and my friends (homos, all of us) would check it out if for nothing else than to make sure we never do the crazy shit other people do to f-up their lives. None of us would keep watching, it's not worth it and there's a low limit on how much drama I want to see anyhow. I don't even watch TV.

The people on those shows are compensated, so they're full-grown adults who go into it knowing full well what they are getting into.
