A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports).

"Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

Posting Rules

  • Posts must be directly gaming-related. Thus, "generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission; similarly, reaction GIFs are also not appropriate as submissions.

  • Following Reddiquette is encouraged

  • No "general" URL shorteners (bitly, tinyurl, etc). Single-site URL shorteners (such as youtu.be or fav.me) are allowed.

  • No game or product giveaway of any kind

  • NSFW submissions and comments must be labeled

Shit yeah I preordered the collectors edition. Its definitely not no goty. But I enjoyed it and I'm not ashamed I dropped a benjamin on it.

Yeah the company is great, they did all they could to save the game. Just the amount of unpolished was just too much. If you enjoyed it great then.

I think the one thing that people don't realize about the game is yes it looks bad, it's and old way of thinking game because it IS old. Otherwise it still had duke's classic way of thinking. It wasn't the best in the series, but it was still a entertaining. The one thing about a game is it should be entertaining.

I honestly couldn't let my self be entertained. If the game had launched at a 30 dollar price I'm sure it would be better but 60 dollars for that and it left a horrible taste that just wouldn't go away during the entire game.

if you play it knowing most of it is supposed to be jokes and stuff then its great, if you play it expecting halo-life of duty then youll be disappointed

Duke Nukem Forever was a great game, it was hyped to all hell and it was made for older people, not kids sit there run around playing cod all day. When you hype a game for 11 years, when the game has constantly been scrapped and completely redone it's going to look like shit compared to your visions of it.

It was a game where you can be an awesome badass character and he's still the king.

I feel the same way about Homefront and Rage. Bought them both full price, regret set in within hours. I'm glad I didn't bite on this game too.

It genuinely isn't that bad, just the hype behind it ruined the reputation. Like the Simpsons movie, it was a great movie but yet people will say it could have been better.

It's not that bad, people who haven't played through it and want to know what's up, you should probably just settle and watch a let's play.

Tobuscus does a pretty carefree one that makes the game look pretty decent, if not silly and entertaining.
