This dude was actually Italian.

[–]peachtiny 29 points30 points ago

[–]reticulation 32 points33 points ago

A Italian from Louisiana playing an Indian? Now we need a Latino from England playing an Asian.

[–]Geaux12 14 points15 points ago

Finally I get to mention my hometown on reddit! Kaplan, LA...where fake Indians come from?

[–]watchyourspeed 5 points6 points ago

What up! Sunset over here! :D

[–]theimpolitegentleman 1 point2 points ago

Repping the 'cro!!...

Until i finish moving into sunset!

Judging by your name, I'd guess you're either a man in blue coming from sunset.

I have a good bit of family in Sunset, and i wouldn't be too surprised to find out our families might be related/acquaintances :D

[–]watchyourspeed 0 points1 point ago

Haha the name is a Grateful Dead reference (Casey Jones), nothing to do with law enforcement. Enjoy your new home in the lovely town of Sunset, where everyone knows everyone :)

[–]theimpolitegentleman 0 points1 point ago

Yeah at least on the civilized side lmao.

[–]Titties 5 points6 points ago

What's up with you pineapple niggies?

[–]theimpolitegentleman 1 point2 points ago

I nearly spat out my morning cup of coffee when I saw it was kaplan. What's a dirty ol' vermillion boy doing being famous, playing as an Indian o.O

[–]Geaux12 0 points1 point ago

Poodoo nation. At least we ain't Erath.

That was meant to be read in the thickest coonass accent possible, cher.

[–]OneOracularOracle 1 point2 points ago

Mask the British accent with a thicker, semi-retarded one and you've got the kid from "Up"

Edit: I forgot a '

[–]MrMagpie93 1 point2 points ago

I almost want to shed a tear because of all the stuff I learn on /r/trees! I love you guys so much!

[–]formfactor 0 points1 point ago

why does this remind me of the Simpsons?

[–]dubayav 0 points1 point ago

holy shit balls.... he was the face of Native Americans for more than a while. His parents were from Sicily? I need a shower

[–]deadohiosky 13 points14 points ago

"Well, I've written a film, maybe they'll produce my film. The Last Nigga on Earth, starring Tom Hanks."

[–]Mr_Magoo_takes_a_poo 2 points3 points ago

Wait until you hear about this guy

EDIT: this guy moved to Canada and tricked everyone into thinking he was a native. He basically became famous for his love of the wild and his preaching about the indian way of life. Later they found out he was British.

[–]grantmclean 2 points3 points ago

Pierce Brosnan played Grey Owl.

[–]busy_child 0 points1 point ago

This is one of my favourite people in history. Partly because he was able to become whatever the hell he wanted and partly because he had pet beavers.

[–]rocky_whoof 2 points3 points ago

Yeah, It was referenced in The Sopranos. Season 4 episode 3, around minute 25.

[–]grantmclean 12 points13 points ago

You'll have to be more specific.

[–]Quetz23 2 points3 points ago

Its so messed up... He doesnt even LOOK native.

[–]SodaCan 1 point2 points ago

Makes sense, I thought he was just really mixed since he doesn't look very much like a native american besides the clothing and reddish skin. Skin is a little too red actually.

[–]workacct20910 0 points1 point ago

As a real Native American...thank you.

[–]zombat 0 points1 point ago

In example of life imitating art number 23423613223619, he actually did a bunch of advocacy work for Indian communities.

[–]juicepants 0 points1 point ago

God damn you! I wanted to share that fact! Upvote anyway :-(

[–]cottoncandysex -1 points0 points ago

Holy fuck. I was gonna post that thinking no one has since it's not necessarily relevant and it's the top fucking post. Upvoted.

[–]KJL13 32 points33 points ago

I'm assuming you live in Ohio

[–]voyagerrr 15 points16 points ago

Did something just happen in Ohio? All my friends are dry.

Edit: Now I see what you're talking about.

I'm genuinely feeling sad now. To our fallen, we salute you.

[–]Protohuman 8 points9 points ago

[–]Systym 8 points9 points ago

It's crazy to think that the kid is only 17 years old and this probably will ruin a lot of things for him :(

[–]faintdeception 7 points8 points ago

Yeap, kid is a more successful businessman than a lot of folks twice his age, but now he'll probably never be able to put that talent to good use.

[–]Bobfigio 0 points1 point ago

I have shed a tear for humanity. Damn you DEA!

[–]CHooTZ 4 points5 points ago

How many ounces of trees is produced by 1 plant? Because if all their numbers ($350 an ounce street price and 600 plants at $3million) then each plant is producing nearly 5 ounces. That just seems high (hehe) to me.

Edit: I just did some research, and couldn't really get a decent answer, most of the asked questions led to really biased answers. According to my research, cannabis plants will often produce between 1/2 o and 16 pounds... very helpful, I know. Any clarification would be really awesome!

[–]ifactor 0 points1 point ago

I think they were saying $5k a lb... Which is a bit expensive just about anywhere I'm pretty sure

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

$2500 a lb is more the going rate around here.

[–]guenther_ 0 points1 point ago

My thoughts exactly. They always exaggerate the numbers to justify it. If he was making 20gs a week, how come he only had 6 grand in his room when they searched it? Multi million dollar operation? I don't think so.

[–]baconeverything 2 points3 points ago

May not necessarily be exaggerated. When the authorities take your weed plants, they weight the entire plant, most of the time roots and all with dirt still attached to it. That's how they come up with their weights. They don't prune the buds then weigh it out.

[–]CHooTZ 1 point2 points ago

Ahhh, that makes a lot mores sense, thanks.

Edit: and by that makes sense, I mean I can see that happening, not it's fair.

[–]baconeverything 2 points3 points ago

I know, that's how my friend was looking at 8 years in jail for just have 12 plants in his basement.

[–]guenther_ 0 points1 point ago

Well that means they are exaggerating it right? We all know you only smoke the buds and bits of leaf close enough to the bud to have trichomes on them. I just don't think a seventeen year old is capable of maintaining the property and facilities needed to have a multi million dollar op without the help of a adult. My thought was that he might have just been selling it for someone else and ratted out their grow op when he got busted. Unless his parents owned the property or something, how is he going to rent or own property being that he's a minor? Idk the details, just speculating.

[–]guenther_ 0 points1 point ago

Also, the news just said he is not in custody and is cooperating with police..

[–]baconeverything 0 points1 point ago

Ok.. So what? I'm commenting on the "numbers" This is how police come up with their "numbers" of how much of "something" they have and bring charges on you. That's it. I don't care who owned the building or what anyone was doing. They found X amount of pot = to this amount of charges and estimated value.

[–]guenther_ 0 points1 point ago

What I'm saying is, their math isn't really accurate on the actual amount of weed he was selling. They said he was bringing in 20 thousand a month based in how much they found. If they weighed all the plants and dirt and roots like you said, that means the amount of actual weed he was getting an selling was far less. I'm just saying the news likes to blow things out of proportion and the police like to make it seem like they made a significant bust when in all reality it probably wasn't as large as they are trying to make it seem. Multi million dollar grow ops aren't run by high school kids. And what I meant by him cooperating with police... If he were running the whole show like they say and only had six people helping him, who were also indicted, what other information could he have to offer them? If they caught the main guy, who is he going to give up? The real people behind the show.

[–]baconeverything 0 points1 point ago

Basically

[–]PoolPirate 1 point2 points ago

On the same page was a "related stories" with pictures of "kingpins" from earlier busts.

I find it rather puzzling that none of the muggles criticizing trees take time to consider that these are normal, well functioning people. A grandmother, a high school kid with good grades and a working social network.

Save the trees, guys.

[–]madeforinglip 6 points7 points ago

It was the crying that gave it away.

[–]IndigoGosRule 5 points6 points ago

It sounds to me that this "drought" is pretty wide spread. I've been hearing more and more stories of people getting busted on all levels. In my county it was fucking witch hunt for awhile. Me thinks our police departments are either going broke, or saving up for something...

Takes hit. Removes tin foil hat

[–]Euphorium 0 points1 point ago

Yeah my contact has been pretty dry recently, too.

[–]DookieDemon 0 points1 point ago

Eastern KS seems pretty dry. For about two weeks according to my friend.

[–]IndigoGosRule 0 points1 point ago

Yupp, All of Johnson County is hurtin'.It's been awhile since I've seen some super dank

[–]urbanfervor[S] 3 points4 points ago

Indeed. I don't know if my guy was affected or not, but I'm sure plenty of Ents near me are feeling the pain right now.

[–]Sathorod 10 points11 points ago

I live in Ohio. Nothing changed. I guess the lesson to be learned is don't buy drugs from a 17 year old. Sincerely, a 15 year old.

[–]druumer89 3 points4 points ago

Smart man.

[–]guenther_ 2 points3 points ago

That's what I thought...

[–]Mexiterp 1 point2 points ago

I came in to ask the same thing. Southwest?

[–]Goatsplosion 0 points1 point ago

Reporting in :c

I moved here just in time for all the good weed to just up and vanish. Bluhhh. After living in a medicinal state, this place seems dry as a bone.

[–]0851314 2 points3 points ago

westsider here. age?

[–]guenther_ 0 points1 point ago

Dude, all the good weed in cincy isn't gone from this one kid getting busted.. Trust me.

[–]Sir_Supertramp 0 points1 point ago

Seconded.

[–]Goatsplosion 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, I guess I was just speaking in general. I'm actually nowhere near Cincy, I'm out in Elyria and this place is a ghost town.

[–]blaissez_chaire 0 points1 point ago

Cleveland, land of the cleves

[–]retrobuddha 17 points18 points ago

[–]JohnnyValet 5 points6 points ago

I sent this gif to a fiend and she asked why the kitty was crying. I told her someone threw trash at it. She didn't get it.

[–]GloriousMatt 16 points17 points ago

On a bus once I was all dressed nice coming back from some kind of job fair and an old lady said something to the extent of "I saw on the news they made a huge drug bust in town ... such and such pounds of marijuana" of course instinctively I say back with genuine feeling "Oh my that's awful!"

Luckily my stop was a few seconds after that because I think she was trying to burn a hole in my head with her eyes.

[–]lazy_opportunist 11 points12 points ago

I was riding the light rail in Portland, Oregon of all places, when an ent rolls up with a clipboard and announces "legalize hemp and cannabis?" and holds out a petition. The three other parties seated near me had just turned him down, when I smirked and said "Absolutely!" and signed that shit. After he left, I saw two older (40's) ladies look at each other, look at me, and move to the other end of the train. Really, bitches? The fucking constitution is written on hemp. How can we have come so far that a civil discourse about the subject is taboo? And in Portland?

[–]charliedayman 4 points5 points ago

Some* people just like excuses to look down their noses at other people.

*some people all of the time, all people some of the time type of thing

[–]lazy_opportunist 5 points6 points ago

Can't we all just get a bong?

[–]CoDent 0 points1 point ago

Yes. [

[–]CHooTZ 0 points1 point ago

Oh my. Would you mind if I used this phrase to make a photo/desktop?

[–]bsonk 1 point2 points ago

Really? I once walked around the Lloyd Center area on a Friday night before asking people who look chill where to find bud. Some community college students pointed me to their neighborhood dealer. I even asked some old people who looked like ex hippies and while they looked surprised I didn't receive any judgement for it. It really depends on who you meet, I guess. I would venture that Portland is mostly liberal, but also that the conservative element is more prevalent than one might think, like with most of Oregon.

[–]iamrory 1 point2 points ago

Just to be annoying pedantic for a bit, the actual finalized Constitution is written on parchment made from animal skin, which would have been higher quality.

However, it and all the other important documents of that era were certainly drafted on hemp paper.

[–]LianCoubert93 44 points45 points ago

Me and my frient got busted last night... It was my first experience with any kind of legal repercussions having to do with trees. It's amazing how in this country one can actually be criminalized for engaging in an activity which is of no threat to anyone. I couldn't believe I was actually being subjected to such a terrible experience for simply having burned a plant and inhaled the smoke.

[–]SirAuron401 15 points16 points ago

I'm sorry to hear that bro. Maybe things will change someday...

[–]Guard01 8 points9 points ago

You were criminalized because you broke a law. Simple.

[–]El_Dudereno 3 points4 points ago

The law used to say it was a criminal act to teach black people to read.

[–]Scaryfedoraman 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, so you'd be arrested for doing that. That's what he's saying. It doesn't matter whether or not the law is effective or moral, it matters that it's the law, and when we break it every day, we risk ourselves going to jail.

[–]Wolf_Protagonist 7 points8 points ago

He was criminalized for breaking a stupid, unconstitutional law that the people don't want. Not really so simple.

[–]kralrick 6 points7 points ago

Unconstitutional?

[–]DCBizzle 5 points6 points ago

The right to blaze trees.

[–]9mmCensor 2 points3 points ago

I am not an American or legal scholar, but I always viewed "the pursuit of happiness " as a legal basis for smoking trees being a right. Trees make me happy therefore when I grow or smoke them I am just pursuing happiness.

[–]kralrick 0 points1 point ago

Most drugs (at least temporarily) make the user happy. Also 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness' are found in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution.

I have an issue with using the Commerce Clause (power to regulate interstate commerce) to regulate growing for personal use, but a large portion of federal drug regulations fall squarely within federal constitutional power.

[–]alexNeso 1 point2 points ago

Prosecuting against drug use is almost entering the territory of thought crime. You think the founding fathers would have been okay with the war on drugs?

[–]kralrick -2 points-1 points ago

Ummm... It's prosecuting a variety of actions: growing, selling, buying, using. You may disagree about the intelligence of drug laws, but don't just throw around 'unconstitutional' like it's nothing. Calling something 'unconstitutional' is only powerful when you don't call everything you don't like unconstitutional.

[–]SwarleyJr 1 point2 points ago

Yes but all of those actions are in the same vein. Why shouldn't someone be able to grow marijuana and profit from it (whether that be by selling it or using it) the same way tobacco is grown, sold, and used? Nobody is against regulating it. Slap an age restriction on it so kids cant use it. There's no logical reason to stop someone from smoking just like it would be dumb to tell people they can't drink or smoke cigarettes. They're all just a different type of "high/buzz."

[–]kralrick 0 points1 point ago

That's very different from calling those laws unconstitutional. I'll not get into an argument on the merits of drug regulation in /r/trees (I've tried before with poor results). I just think that change will come from reasoned arguments, not from unfoundedly calling drug laws unconstitutional.

[–]SwarleyJr 0 points1 point ago

But it's all relative. The laws are unconstitutional because it's telling people what they are allowed to do in their own home to their own body. Nobody is saying people should be allowed to drive high or something that would risk the safety of others. People don't want to believe that pro-legalization parties can be rational and realistic. Everyone's scared of the cannabis boogeyman because it's illegal, that's it. If there was some alternate universe where cannabis was legal and tobacco wasn't people would be so scared of tobacco and all the mysterious danger behind it. It would be made to look like this thing that is much worse than it actually is. It has nothing to do with what we like or not it's basic human rights. I'm not gay buy I support gay marriage so what do you say to that? You claim that people call these laws unconstitutional because they don't like them but I haven't heard an argument from you on why it should continue to be illegal the way it is now.

[–]kralrick 0 points1 point ago

  1. You are conflating policy arguments and constitutional arguments. As I said before, don't call it unconstitutional when you don't have an understanding of what would make it unconstitutional. As it stands, states regulate cannabis under their police power (health, safety, morals). You may disagree with states' use of the police power, but they are acting well within their constitutional powers. The federal government regulates cannibis under the Commerce Clause. Essentially the use/trade of cannabis is substantially related to interstate commerce so the federal government can regulate it. These are not policy arguments, they are constitutional arguments.

  2. Policy. I don't have time to get into policy arguments right now, but I'll come back later if you'd like. I'll just say for now that the burden is on the person who wants to change a law. I'd also suggest you reconsider calling cannabis use a basic human right.

[–]LianCoubert93 0 points1 point ago

That I completely understand. What struck me was the oddity of being criminalized as consequence for doing something which cannot inherently cause any manner of harm to myself or others. Law is ideally and essentially put into place and enforced for the safety of a people. Yet, the laws I offended and the retribuitions I will face as a result, will in no way serve to help anyone. With (of course) the exeption of the government, who gets to collect on my personal savings as a starving college student, as their reward for enforcing their unjust laws.

[–]LianCoubert93 0 points1 point ago

How did you manage to so fully miss my point?

[–]dangeraardvark -3 points-2 points ago

Classic response of the small-minded.

[–]Guard01 2 points3 points ago

Classic response of how not to get in trouble

[–]9mmCensor 0 points1 point ago

trees are a threat to corporate profits.

[–]tweezyb 0 points1 point ago

Let me guess, pulled over in a car?

[–]fotografamerika 12 points13 points ago

This is my face as a resident of Richmond, Virginia. All my loud guys are dry :'(

[–]Robertonius 6 points7 points ago

Yes! Why is Virginia so dry right now?

[–]Rdlumps 13 points14 points ago

They just confiscated 1.6 million dollars worth of weed. It was apparently in a shipping container that came from California. It's going to be a dry summer.

[–]BoxoMorons 3 points4 points ago

not in nova its never dry here

[–]masterofTHUMBS -1 points0 points ago

nope but it isn't always the best. plus, everyone tries to rip you off. my friends in richmond always get dank although all of the dealers are flaky pieces of shit.

[–]BoxoMorons 1 point2 points ago

thats true i would not recommend anyone who lives outside of the area to buy from anyone... without me doing it for them. People get taken for there money constantly. It appears to be a way of life.

[–]masterofTHUMBS 0 points1 point ago

lol I know. I have a friend (nova bud, some unknown shakey shit last time) who would only sell to my friends he didn't know for $40/g because of some lame story about how everything is hot right now, bullshit. I go to my other friend (nice richmond bud, god's gift) and get $100/q to split with my other friends he doesn't know.

Also, not to be stereotypical, but goddamn! Asian kids rip you off. They fuck around with their scales, lie to you about the quality, and cut shake with cooking herbs. Nigga, I'm not some dumb freshman, I know my shit.

[–]BoxoMorons 0 points1 point ago

thats true the only Asian i have ever bought from skimped me.. and I was his friend. The bud is great just the effort it takes is something to deal with.

[–]Josefus 2 points3 points ago

I heard that too. This state just sucks all around. It's been tough but I just got hooked up nice. Not sure if same kinda truck but sure it's the same kinda shit. Pretty nice.

[–]Rdlumps 1 point2 points ago

The one nice part about VA is that there is plenty of room to grow your own. I got a few friends who have a couple plants out in the country. It might be kind of a light summer, but it at least will not be dry for me.

[–]MoreSpikes 1 point2 points ago

What part of Richmond you hail from friend? I'm a Hanover lad.

[–]fotografamerika 1 point2 points ago

Checked a map (semi-new to the area), looks like there's not much to do in Hanover besides getting stoned. Tough break, kid. I'm downtown.

[–]MoreSpikes 2 points3 points ago

Tell me about it. I'm home from college for the summer, and all I do is work, toke, and play sports. Dats it.

EDIT: Oh, and I occasionally people watch the 'hurr-durr, Obama's a foreign born muslim' crowd.

[–]Danny_Calico 54 points55 points ago

We can survive this brother eagle.

[–]AJJihad 27 points28 points ago

We must pass the peace pipe, brother

[–]nosex_justdeath 16 points17 points ago

We smoke to honor our fallen brethren.

[–]nosex_justdeath 6 points7 points ago

[–]WantsTheWorld 1 point2 points ago

I am listening to a song called "Godspeed" at this very moment-- REVELATION!

[–]SabreEye 1 point2 points ago

Dude, I fucking loved Brother Bear.

[–]brolarbear 1 point2 points ago

How 'bout brolar bear? Huh? No? Okay...

[–]Uncle_Bill -1 points0 points ago

Factoid, that actor is an Italian-American, not a Native-American. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Eyes_Cody

I hope we are more sincere than that...

[–]Ken_Ober 5 points6 points ago

Ahh, good ol' Iron Eyes Cody. A fine Italian gentleman.

[–]Gadsby_Says 5 points6 points ago

It's truly sad that shit such as this still occurs.

[–]guenther_ 3 points4 points ago

Talking about the kid from Mason?

[–]ome33 3 points4 points ago

Masent?

[–]alexmoney 2 points3 points ago

I live in Mason, it's definitely going to be dry for me :(

[–]ome33 1 point2 points ago

You might look in Hyde park. It's quite easy to find there. This is just a single bust, there's probably several other large scale operations in the cincy area.

[–]BakedNomad 1 point2 points ago

I live in Mason aswell! Lighting one up for T Pegs tonight.

[–]guenther_ 1 point2 points ago

Trust me man, he wasn't the only supplier in the area...

[–]sparty_party 0 points1 point ago

I might need to know who the kid was. I live in Mason too and I am so nosy and curious.

[–]alexmoney 0 points1 point ago

His first name was Gerald but that's all I feel comfortable saying, sorry

[–]fargo15 3 points4 points ago

Stay safe fellow ents!

[–]Nelthar 2 points3 points ago

And let it be known that on that day, one SINGLE manly tear was shed.

[–]haiku_robot 1 point2 points ago

And let it be known
that on that day, one SINGLE
manly tear was shed.

[–]damoneymakin 2 points3 points ago

There was a grow op on our farm. Cops didn't even ask us if it was ours. They just took it and never did anything.

[–]jon_titor 2 points3 points ago

Fuck I'm glad I just moved to Colorado. :)

[–]sirsammy 2 points3 points ago

[–]parkadactyl 2 points3 points ago

It would certainly not be the first time a generally peaceful, yet vocal group that enjoys smoking various substances (especially around campfires) was eradicated with extreme prejudice by an invasive government.

[–]blackmatter117 4 points5 points ago

Me whenever my dealer gets busted and my backup dealer is dry :(

[–]loluwrong 1 point2 points ago

was it in blue ash?

[–]noreligionWill 0 points1 point ago

Clifton

[–]HealthConnection 1 point2 points ago

The planet cries with you, brother/sister.

[–]Mcfreakin 1 point2 points ago

... He looks like a native american version of bruce willis.

[–]Duthos 1 point2 points ago

Drug laws are a crime against humanity.

[–]ddunau13 1 point2 points ago

Happened in my town, half of the towns main dealers got hauled away by the state drug task force, now facing felonies. Shame

[–]Desolator001 1 point2 points ago

"Aaaaaand now the price has gone up 20%"

[–]Timmyty 0 points1 point ago

Aaaaand now the wrong people get even more money.

[–]IceCreamSunde 1 point2 points ago

[–]HofmeisterKink 1 point2 points ago

This kills the High.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

When hear about a bust in my town I am actually kind of happy. Here is why though. I live in a State where you can grow legally as long as you follow regulations. So if you are growing illegally when you are legally allowed to as long as you follow the regulations, you are a douche and you are ruining it for everyone else. If we are going to have the government decriminalize and regulate, shouldn't we go as far as to follow the rules? Once again I reiterate, when some asshole growing shit illegally gets busted in my hometown or state, when they very well could be doing so legally, I am happy.

[–]fentooooon 3 points4 points ago

This kind of distinct humor is why r/trees is my favorite.

[–]gdpdawg 0 points1 point ago

That nose knows no boundries

[–]ShamanisticRastaBro 0 points1 point ago

I'm so happy that things like that don't have a negative affect on my cannabis consumption.

[–]corntub 0 points1 point ago

IS this guy even Native American?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Nope, Italian

[–]CoastinJosh 0 points1 point ago

Man, I wish they would but cartels, not some local grower, but then again why would they stop the cartels when their making so much money?

[–]GaryDuder 0 points1 point ago

The insult added to the injury is when they show you footage of them setting it all on fire.

"We were all going to do that eventually motherfuckers!"

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

I could have saved you so much trouble by doing it myself!

[–]GaryDuder 1 point2 points ago

And think of the environment. We would filter all that dangerous smoke before it enters the atmosphere.

[–]snoogins1 0 points1 point ago

this has been happening in Australia over the last couple of months

[–]groomingfluid 0 points1 point ago

not that i've noticed

[–]Crazium 0 points1 point ago

[–]SouperSpeshulK 0 points1 point ago

Live in richmond, couple hundred pounds were just confiscated in the city recently. Been dry as hell for a week now, cant even find a g for myself :(

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Unless of course it was connected to the Cartels. Then I'm pretty happy.

I honestly wonder how much of the bud I've seen comes from Mexico. I've never had mids and everything I've had was either grown locally or "medical" shipped from cali.

[–]Dunskees 0 points1 point ago

All I can think of

"She was crying."

"Like sexy crying?"

"No. real tears. Like Native American tears."

[–]MajorRalph 0 points1 point ago

When i first heard this I was scared out of my mind that it was my buddies who were busted. Turns out it wasn't, but I feel for those who relied on this guy.

[–]gigashadowwolf 0 points1 point ago

What's really funny is in southern California they have a major bust like every day. I have close friends who've gotten busted. My brother used to grow for local dispensaries from in my house and it was terrifying. It's still a war out here in the wild west, but at least the streets are paved with smoked joints.I remember when it used to be like other drugs.

[–]ragingxboxfanboy 0 points1 point ago

They had this on a special feature for dazed and confused. At least I'm pretty sure that's where I saw it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

This reminds me. A couple months ago there was a huge acid bust on philly. Something like 10,000+ hits taken off the streets. Fuck!

[–]jackofallhearts 0 points1 point ago

I know I'll be told to "get a sense of humor" but appropriating Native American suffering is something we should really be ashamed of as Americans.

What was done on this land was genocide. Plain and simple. Same as the Holocaust, just not viewed that way. It truly was atrocious and we should attempt to be more reflective and reverent.

I'm not saying anyone alive should feel personally responsible but you are responsible for what you find humorous and to see that sometimes your right to laugh at parallels should be trumped by certain things that should be not funny considering their true nature.

That is truly Ent like. To step with as careful a footstep as possible when other people's feelings are involved.

[–]Harshaznintent 0 points1 point ago

12,000 almost fully mature plants got burned in my home town in central cali. They claimed it was, "for the betterment of our little town" smh

[–]blaissez_chaire 0 points1 point ago

Are you referring to the Mason, Ohio bust?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

[–]KiwiiBeMe 0 points1 point ago

I read this as "Me whenever I take a huge bong hit" for some reason and was like da fuck? [5]

[–]Samsy 0 points1 point ago

Australian here; like much of American culture, I only know what this is because of the Simpsons 'Garbage Man' episode.

[–]TexasWithADollarsign 1 point2 points ago

Funny, all I know about Australia is from the Simpsons' Australia episode. How bad are the shazz-wazzers in winter? And can you check to see which way the toilet flushes? I'll hold.

[–]Samsy 0 points1 point ago

haha! True story; I lived in London for a few years back in 99-01, and worked with a fellow Aussie who refused to watch The Simpsons because the only episode she'd seen was the Australian one, and she thought it was inaccurate and disrespectful.

I tried to explain to her that every other episode is equally inaccurate and disrespectful toward Americans, but to no avail...

[–]WosymiouTuseoo -1 points0 points ago
