Just those parts, but not badly enough to leave dark scar tissue.

I carved the word liar into my skin about 3 years ago. Well, I should say, cut it into my skin, and it was maybe as deep as the part at the beginning of the J. It's gone now, the scar itself was visible for about 8 months, and only faintly, even when I caught sun (I only say this because for me, when I get sun, my scar tissue generally gets darker than the rest of my skin, no idea why).

Carving a name into your skin isn't the best idea; but at the same time, someone who feels the need to cut themselves is doing it for the chemical reaction it gives them, which leads them to believe it helps them to feel better, or feel something at all; though in this case, I would be willing to say that's just a crazy teenager who seriously needs a talking to from her / his parents.

Edit - I can say this because I have had issues with cutting; not in a weird obsessed way like this, but as a coping mechanism to other things in my life that at those times, I wasn't equipped to deal with.

I want to go on to say that if you are, or know someone who is a cutter, to please, get the help you need, or just make a post over in /r/depression, /r/stopselfharm (which I'll admit I've had a huge lack of courage to post in), or even /r/SuicideWatch.
