Step one to not being a forever alone: Don't call yourself a forever alone.

[–]alphazero924 0 points1 point ago

And the rest of the steps?

[–]tcsuperstar 3 points4 points ago

Ah, the pity. Fated to drift forever through the void as gravity's plaything. Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee. The only thing that keeps me sane is the thought that I have all eternity in which to perfect my art.... DAMN YOU!

What does 'swag' even mean?

EDIT: I already knew that it meant 'stuff we all get' (which is a backronym by the way, the term existing for far longer than conventions with goodie bags), I was wondering what the fuck it means in the context of all these newfangled "Shit I don't care, I got swag" slang meanings and the likes.

I believe "swag" is supposed to be short for swagger for the youngsters. In this context I believe as weatherbot_five said its "Stuff/Shit we all get".

That's what I thought the term means now top definition of Swag on urban dictionary

It's basically just style, charisma, spending 95% of your paychecks on things you can't afford...

[–]Single_Digit 3 points4 points ago

The last part especially

[–]Megapigeon -3 points-2 points ago

If you're spending 95% of your paychecks on something, that means it's within your budget and you can afford it. If you spend over what you earn, then you can't afford it.

[–]i_rape_moms 3 points4 points ago

If you spend 95% of your paycheck and then you can't pay your rent, you CAN'T afford it.

[–]Megapigeon -1 points0 points ago

Depends how big the paycheck is and where you live.

[–]i_rape_moms 1 point2 points ago

If 5% of your salary can pay for your appartment / house, groceries, insurance (car and house) etc then the odds are that you can't really live a too expensive life since you have enough money to spend in a big way

[–]alphazero924 0 points1 point ago

Alright, let's do a little math here. And let's low-ball everything. Let's say you spend $500 a month on rent, $1000 a month on food (about 11 bucks a meal 3 meals a day for 30 days), $150 a month for car insurance, $50 a month for internet, cable, and phone, and $50 a month for cell phone. That's $1750 a month, and that's massively low-balled. Multiply that by twenty, and you have to make $35000 a month or $420000 a year in order to only spend 5% on that stuff. You'd have to have a really really good job in a really shit neighborhood to pull that off.

The new meaning used by teenagers is basically personality and how a person conducts themselves. It's a shortened version of the word swagger, which was first used by Shakespeare in the play Midsummer Night's Dream.

Besides a synonym for "plunder" or "booty," the term refers to free promotional merchandise, particularly in a professional setting, often during conventions or between companies after a collaboration. The modern acronym "Stuff We All Get" is sometimes applied. Think t-shirts and coffe mugs.

Already knew that. That stuff is bloody obvious.

Meanwhile, these former definitions have effectively been bastardized and forgotten via the introduction of the newest shit lingo children are spewing, which is basically an unoriginal substitution for "game." i.e. the desirable manner in which young men would like to present themselves to their peers. It's like having class, but only if you are under the age of 16 and don't really know what class is.

That's what I was looking for, cheers.

Loot/"stuff we all get" or it's short for swagger. Using it as an shortened term for swagger is apparently the new thing Reddit is supposed to hate on.

Hey, universe, check out the dude with the Rolex!

[–]Jimwoo 2 points3 points ago

At what point in life does one declare themselves forever alone? At that point I think you do it to yourself.

[–]zerotwofive 2 points3 points ago

When one has lived forever

Worshipers? This ought to lighten up my endless, tragic voyage...

[–]Jakezergling 0 points1 point ago

When did swag not me the samething as loot?

[–]Rnway -1 points0 points ago

I have plenty of swag, even if I don't talk much.
