No, I also don't care if people believe in god. They can believe what they want as long as it doesn't affect my life.

Which is why I'm outspoken against religion, because it DOES affect my life.

I see this meme almost every day.

I don't care if someone believes in a god or gods.

I care when that belief changes the way they conduct themselves towards others. Be it bigotry, sexism, racism, or be it a lack of critical thinking and logic, if the underlying belief in a god or gods does this, I have a problem with it.

And I have yet to find a person who believes in a god or gods and is able to completely compartmentalize the delusion to just religion.

I could care less what people believe. I do care however when they run the government of a country and force their religion in the form of laws on the populous.

I've got no problem with people believing in god. I have no problem with people saying "I will pray for you". I have no problem with churches, and I have no problem with the fellowship that they bring to their members.

I have a problem with people attempting to make laws that limit freedoms based on the beliefs of their religion. I have a problem with being belittled in public for to my "sins". I have a problem with a crime family structure in which pedophiles are systematically and covertly relocated to avoid being admonished or convicted of their crimes. I have a big problem with an organization that punishes women with mauling, acid burning, and death for being anything other than a mound of flesh beneath a veil.

I am a humanist. If religion were conducive to the sum total good of the world, I would favor it. Be that as it may, though, it does not. Time and time again, organized religion has proven that it is a tool of manipulation, abuse, and horrors against human development. So long as this persists, I will fight religion in all its forms wherever it may be, until it either reforms its way or gets out of mine and the rest of humanity's.

I agree with you. It's the ignorance that I hate when religious people try to get you to believe in their religion. Some of my friends are religious personally I adore religion to study (but mostly those of ancient civilisations like Greek) but it just compares on how much the religions differ except they normally have one thing in common "Believe in our God(s) or you are going to our hell. That's why I like Buddism it's enlightening your self not other people. Buddha didn't asked to be followed.
