Any other Ents share the same opinion on the recent lighter issue?

i'm sorry, but i will have to disagree with you. at least the lighters are a nice break from all of the overused memes that are always covering the front page of every subreddit. one would assume that, with the attitude of this sub, there would be more OC than the other subreddits. I don't want to see original content only on fridays, i want to see some everyday and with all of these lighter posts, its like a show and tell so this sub feels more like a community than just a place to look at pictures of bud and memes.

I agree, but shit, at least lighters are trees-related. I'll take a picture of a cool lighter over another picture of some random thing unrelated to trees with "This made me laugh at an [5]!" as the title any day. Between those posts and all the karma whoring "Any other ents like [insert insanely popular stoner band/movie/show/food]?" there's very little OC that's worth a damn on here anymore.

Ah yes, the old pattern continues! On reddit, there is quite an obvious trend. When someone posts some OC that is easily replicated by others (and is front paged as well) other people begin to replicate it! Then, approximately 12-48 hours later, posts begin to appear complaining about the new trend. The most meta of users will then make a post complaining about the posts complaining of the new trend.

Of course, this is just what the pattern with memes is in general, but it is sped up greatly on reddit.

the number of zippos are especially too damn high. protip: zippo lighter fluid tastes worse than bic butane and they give off more gas for the larger flame, unless you are simply lighting a jay or blunt using a zippo is a bad idea.
