9/11 was a protest against the US's military position in the Middle East. Osama bin Laden saw the towers of the Middle East being destroyed and its civilians dying due to- he believed- US military interference, and decided to symbolically topple some US towers and kill some US citizens.

This is all well documented. He kept phoning you guys to explain, but for some reason y'all keep yelling about Allah.

The guy was a bastard, and evil. Maybe what you're doing is quite clever, since the worst thing to happen to an ideologue is to have his actual message completely and utterly ignored by everyone, ever.

On the other hand, don't try to pin 9/11 on religion. It's one of the greatest and most despicable tragedies of our time- let's not just pin it on whomever we don't like very much.
