Sharp dressed kids.

Bill Cosby would cry like a baby if this would be the current style.

They probably only wore those clothes to church on Sundays, and if they got them dirty or torn, mama whooped their asses.

EDIT: Really? No one else had "church clothes" that they weren't allowed to wear anywhere else, lest they get a wooden spoon across the ass?

Easter Morning. I would assume Church clothes. and yes i grew up with only one suit for church and funerals.

sorry for the ignorant, and i mean that word in the literal sense, individuals who are downvoting you, most likely teens...your observation is right on.

e: when this was written he had 3 downs and not one upvote...

I find it so odd that these "negro boys from 1941" are probably "80 year old african american men" today... there's something about the picture that looks too removed from today. Great photo!

This picture is framed on the wall in a local shaved ice place here in Rome, Georgia. I assumed it was a local photograph.

They look badass in those suits, that's for sure.

What a great photo. I wonder if there was a series?

My choir teacher has this photo in his room. I've always wondered what it was.

The front one is reminding me of Peter Gabriel

[–]DiFaz07 0 points1 point ago

Is it just me or is that Kevin Durant front and center?

This picture is so very compelling to me...it speaks of hope, of dreams, of possibilities. Truly a masterpiece. I wonder if it's a famous photo. If not, it surely deserves to be.
