I work at Staples, have a stupid red shirt, name tag, and a yellow box cutter as well. I've had the stupidest and strangest things said to me. The strangest being a black guy walking up to me and saying

"Hey man, a hundred dollar hooker is still a hooker right?"

I reply "Yea I guess so"

To which his girlfriend replies "What the hell does he know, he's a white boy"

I work in retail myself, it's hard not to laugh every time I get asked. Which is probably 5 times a day on average. "Don't mind the store lanyard and the fact that im tidying clothes up, I just get bored and lonely."

People ask, because sometimes, you are off the clock or you are visiting a different store after your shift...I know this, I work at Wally-World, and sometimes shop a different location before going home to change...

And sometimes, there are folks around who are wearing the basic look, hanging out near the carts marked for employees, who are totally not employed there...

sometimes i don't know how to start a conversation with an employee while looking for help. an easy way is to ask someone if they work here, they'll say yes how can i help you, and then i tell them what i need.

many a time i've been searching for an employee for several minutes before finding you and i'm actually surprised that i've finally found you.

it's just an easy way for me to get you to ask me if i need help. if someone had noticed my confused high ass looking all lost and asked me if i need help i wouldn't have had to approach you in this awkward way.

haha I work at kmart! Some of the weirdest people on the planet shop there, and I get to deal with them for several hours a day. Trees are the only way I don't go crazy.

Note: I don't go to work high, but I smoke a j after every shift so I have something to look forward to :)

I work at CVS and I'll be standing there at the register in my blue shirt, with my name tag on, looking directly at the customer as they approach, each register says its closed except for mine, and they will stop and stare blankly around before finally looking at me as if I just magically appeared and ask "Are you open?" No, I'm just fucking standing here because I had nothing better to do!
