I don't understand why.

[–]Basbhat 4 points5 points ago

because 9 times out of ten they just give you shit about smoking

[–]Gothika_47 4 points5 points ago

You have some problems.

[–]finnmau5 7 points8 points ago

You avoid being friends with someone, just cause they don't smoke? C'mon man, that's not very cool.

[–]kidtwenty 5 points6 points ago

I think he meant in a relationship senario where she doesnt smoke.

[–]supreyes 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, it's kind of tough to date someone who doesn't share a major interest of yours though. Not saying that happens with everyone.

[–]kidtwenty 0 points1 point ago

Agreed.

I only upvoted so you would have 69 points.

I thank you for that!!!

More for you

[–]usbports45 0 points1 point ago

It depends though, if they don't get high I don't really see that being a issue. If they have a problem with me smoking, that's when I'd have a problem.

My last girlfriend dumped me cause I smoked...once. Now that i smoke more often, i Just prefer to be with someone who does too.

[–]crizitez 0 points1 point ago

I smoke Alot o weed, and I prefer my girlfriend not to smoke.. Don't get me wrong I don't mind.Just a preference

[–]refullamiii 0 points1 point ago

To be honest, I feel like that is a little shallow. You shouldn't preemptively end potential relationships and friendships that otherwise might have been rewarding and fulfilling. I'm just saying you might be surprised how cool non-smokers are too, but maybe I'm reading the context of this post wrong, because it is speaking just about girls, not people in general.

[–]Basbhat 1 point2 points ago

so this is shallow,

but women can demand that a guy be no shorter than 6 feet and its not shallow?

because all I ever hear from every fucking girl is that any guy who likes them has to be tall.

If anything it can be a large lifestyle choice, and if someone doesn't smoke they may not be the best match for you. its a better metric then height thats for sure

[–]Jabbatheslann 1 point2 points ago

No, that's shallow as well. I don't think two wrongs make the situation better though.

[–]refullamiii 1 point2 points ago

Okay, girls are shallow too. Sucks for them though, because they are also missing out on potentially enriching friendships too. I agree that it's a better metric than height, but judging by the .gif the OP linked too, it seems like he doesn't give them a chance, that jet banked to the left quite fast. Granted I don't know the OP's circumstances or experiences but I can tell you from my own that keeping an open mind can yield some wonderful results. Sometimes if you give people a chance, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

oh the irony of being lectured on giving chances.

if you only knew my good sir

[–]refullamiii 0 points1 point ago

Tell me the irony, I'm listening

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

calm down a bit,

its nothing personal, you would just pretty much have to know my life.

[–]refullamiii 0 points1 point ago

Sorry if I seemed harsh, I'm curious what you meant. Like I said before, I don't know the OP's experiences or your own. I'm getting the feeling that when we're talking about "chances", that we are talking about women in particular and relationships (I think that is what OP is talking about now) or maybe just people in general. If so I hope your circumstances have changed for the better, but I'm talking about first impressions. A lot of people draw certain conclusions of people simply because they might have piercings, tattoos, drink or don't drink, smoke or don't smoke and make assumptions about their character because of it.

OP is allowed to socialize and mingle with people that he wants to and place a certain value on lifestyle choice, I'm not disputing that. I just thought that the OP was too harsh in their attitude towards non-smokers but I think I drew that conclusion chiefly from the .gif used, so sorry for the confusion on my part.

Moral of the story: "Never judge a person by their .gif"

no worries, I just don't feel the need to go into it.

everyone goes through shit, I've got mine.

Don't miss the opportunity to introduce cool people to Mary Jane. Spread the word. Thus sayeth Mary Jane.

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

or stop pressuring people to smoke, its a personal choice.

and personally if they're too stubborn to see the light, no need to kick them through the door
