Wakes up from nightmare

SLEEP PARALYSIS

[–]killermunch 5 points6 points ago

I did that after watching "John Carpenter's The Thing" for the first time. I was 11.

[–]NasalEntry 12 points13 points ago

Wakes up from nightmare

Nightmare is real life

Wake up from real life

Instert matrix reference here

[–]mparlett 3 points4 points ago

Ain't no nightmare like a solipsistic nightmare.

[–]finmoore3 2 points3 points ago

That happens to me from time to time. I think being paralyzed while sleeping is worse than any nightmare.

[–]LOTRf4nb0y 0 points1 point ago

The only good thing out of a sleep paralysis is lucid dreaming.

[–]MellowRobot 1 point2 points ago

This is fucking TERRIFYING. Having a terrible nightmare, finally snap out of it and NOPE. No moving for you at all. Just have to lie there unable to do a damn thing.

[–]CrazyPurpleBacon 1 point2 points ago

And then there's sometimes creepy-ass hallucinations because your brain is still partly dreaming.

[–]DementedHeadcrab 1 point2 points ago

I had this once. It was slenderman at the end of my bed. Then I woke up and found out I didnt wake up I was still in the dream.

[–]mime454 69 points70 points ago

This happens to me way too often.

[–]revjeremyduncan 29 points30 points ago

Same here. And if it isn't the same exact dream, it's still the same "problem".

[–]brianhaddad 25 points26 points ago

Happens to me all the time too, and my name's Brian.

[–]LOTRf4nb0y 2 points3 points ago

[–]brianhaddad 2 points3 points ago

Yeah. That is actually all that has helped me get sleep some nights.

I decided that in my dreams I have three super powers that I can use to get out of scary situations. So far after waking up from especially persistent bad dreams that keep going while I'm trying to fall back asleep, the super powers have helped a lot.

[–]LOTRf4nb0y 1 point2 points ago

I love imitating Neo. But try as I might, I can't pull a legolas on them oiliphaunts.

[–]brianhaddad 1 point2 points ago

Suddenly your dreams might be the most fascinating thing in the world.

[–]revjeremyduncan 0 points1 point ago

I used to experiment a lot with lucid dreams. I used to have the problem of thinking I woke up, but was still dreaming. That would make me lose control, again. I'll have to check that sub out and try again.

[–]OhHaiMarc 4 points5 points ago

yup, not in that creepy old house anymore, but someone is still trying to murder me

[–]pr1ntscreen 6 points7 points ago

Tip: Leave bed. Stand up and go drink a glass of milk. Just to clear your head. This works for me. Everytime I go right back to sleep I just continue the nightmare.

Why can't this happen to my brown chicken brown cow dreams?

[–]mylivingeulogy 7 points8 points ago

Took me a second to realize bowchickabowwow.

[–]namelesshero2222 1 point2 points ago

Shut up, Tucker.

[–]Bad_Censorship -1 points0 points ago

Took me a second to ******* bowchickabowwow.

[–]mylivingeulogy 1 point2 points ago

Don't know why you got downvoted, you kept up with your name.

[–]MoeJoe_JoeJoe 1 point2 points ago

But this is where the monster will be waiting for you, and you realize you are still dreaming!

[–]Azr79 1 point2 points ago

me too, how he fuck is that even possible?

[–]tacojohn48 0 points1 point ago

I "wake up" only to find the monster from my dream is waiting for me just outside my bedroom door.

[–]jrdykst 0 points1 point ago

I heard that if you do not change the position your body is in then you will continue the same dream. So maybe you should change positions if you wake up from a bad dream?

[–]myGRUDGE 0 points1 point ago

Try flipping your pillow over. For some reason it clears my dreams whenever this happens to me too.

[–]theconnorparty 8 points9 points ago

I made this mem two hours before you did, but I didn't get to the front page :(

[–]RelevantComics 6 points7 points ago

I even upvoted you...

[–]DAVIDcorn 14 points15 points ago

Real Bad luck Brian.

Has a nightmare.

Freddy Krueger kills him.

[–]Yoshi_Girl 9 points10 points ago

About a week ago I had one of those dreams where you're self-aware and can do whatever and I had found out I was having a Freddy Krueger dream and my first thought was, "Aw shit. Here we go.".

[–]arup02 3 points4 points ago

[–]DAVIDcorn 6 points7 points ago

Yeah i have some of those self aware dreams, but they usually involve sex and me waking up with some wet underwear.

[–]smokeyblades -1 points0 points ago

iv been having those dreams since i was 8:D lol i remember one where to guys with axes were chasing me,,,when they finally caught me i said something like"i am dreaming now so if you cut me up im just going to wake up"the dream ended with a confused look on their faces:D

[–]tacojohn48 1 point2 points ago

I had a dream where Freddy had cut me up into many small pieces. I didn't die. Unless I'm a ghost which could explain why people ignore me...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Or:

Wakes up during nightmare. Actual life is worse.

[–]DAVIDcorn 0 points1 point ago

OR HE WAKES UP DEAD.

[–]H19 0 points1 point ago

That scene where freddy uses a guys....something (what the hell is it called?) to control him like a marionette puppet is a recurring nightmare of mine.

[–]Icedfool 7 points8 points ago

Wakes up from nightmare

It was actually a psychic dream

[–]IsAnyoneHungry 2 points3 points ago

Actually is Dolan

[–]Icedfool 1 point2 points ago

How did you know!?

[–]CrystalTears 1 point2 points ago

plz

[–]phantom_p00per 2 points3 points ago

[–]EvilSteak 2 points3 points ago

[–]BoatLoadOfC-Men 1 point2 points ago

This is why I hate Reddit.

[–]WarFuzz 1 point2 points ago

Makes me not want to sleep again for a week.

[–]revjeremyduncan 1 point2 points ago

This happens to me a lot. I will be in a nightmare, then so relieved to wake up, only to continue in the same nightmare (or a variation of it) when I fall back to sleep. Sucks.

[–]greenr86 1 point2 points ago

I don't even have nightmares anymore. I always notice when something is off and realize I'm dreaming. I then go ssj and blow shit up.

[–]Pfeil 0 points1 point ago

Yes dude, me too! I haven't had a nightmare in a long because of this. I just yell "kamehameha!!" as loud as I can and blow up whatever is frightening me.

[–]BrazilianPotato 1 point2 points ago

1 2... Freddy's coming for you...

[–]markycapone 1 point2 points ago

wakes up from nightmare,

by sound of killer in his room...

[–]Dsch1ngh1s_Khan 1 point2 points ago

Wakes up from nightmare

Wasn't actually a nightmare.

[–]courtesyxflush 1 point2 points ago

wakes up from nightmare: waking reality is worse.

[–]Jeroknite 1 point2 points ago

Wakes up from nightmare

The nightmare is real

[–]AngelEffect 0 points1 point ago

This happened to me actually.

[–]UnrealChrisG 0 points1 point ago

Never had a nightmare, what is it like?

[–]A_KOd_Koala 4 points5 points ago

... scary...

[–]corylew 1 point2 points ago

Your subconscious is incredibly good at knowing what you're scared if and convincing you that it's completely real. Just think about that.

[–]Epsilon123 0 points1 point ago

There's types of food that can actually increase the chances of a nightmare.

[–]delusivewalrus 0 points1 point ago

Did anyone say welsh rarebit?

[–]Diabolicism 0 points1 point ago

This happened to me once. Scary shit, I woke up and than my eyes forced themselves shut even though I was nearly wide awake... Went right back into my nightmare. This only ever happened once in my life.

[–]buyingaspaceship 0 points1 point ago

thought i was the only one this happened to

[–]wtf1sh 0 points1 point ago

Would another nightmare be better?

[–]dragoburst 0 points1 point ago

i hate when this happens, and when i wake up i try to think of sexy girls so that i don't continue the nightmare but the girls faces slowly turn into what i was having a nightmare about!

[–]dailythought 0 points1 point ago

Me. All the time.

[–]StavrosChristos 0 points1 point ago

Wakes up during nightmare

Falls asleep and has 2 more.

Ya that night sucked for me.

[–]SC33 0 points1 point ago

My dreams aren't happy or sad. I'd choose terrifying any day over the same gloomy shit over and over again.

[–]yourafagyourafag 0 points1 point ago

Been there, done that.

[–]sheepyowl 0 points1 point ago

And then late for work.

[–]Rob1150 0 points1 point ago

Been there. How come I never wake of from a dream of fucking some hot woman, and go back to dreaming about that??

[–]unbiasly 0 points1 point ago

Wakes up from sleep, Charley horse.

[–]Blacklist3d 0 points1 point ago

am i the only one who actually enjoys when this happens?

[–]frank26080115 0 points1 point ago

I love it when this happens, it allows you to actually enjoy the nightmare

[–]yomomma45 0 points1 point ago

This does happen to me, but when I do fall back asleep, it is usually a much worse variation of the original. And its usually those days where everyone wonders why I have the temper of a pit bull...

[–]mndrw91 0 points1 point ago

Happened to me this morning. About 5 effin times but by the fifth I was turning nightmare into Eden with God like powers.

[–]ladymeekleopard 0 points1 point ago

Am I BLB?

[–]GangstaWizard 0 points1 point ago

Because it was real.

[–]DRUNKonROOTbeer 0 points1 point ago

I usually lucid dream now so anything i dont like usually just goes away for me but this really does happen to much... Troll Brain

[–]MKSLAYER97 0 points1 point ago

This happens to me every time that I have a nightmare, but of course it never happens when I have a nice dream.

[–]AlphaKat 0 points1 point ago

honestly this happen to me about 3 times per night, on the night's that i actually fall asleep. it's really fucking exhausting.

[–]MyJimmies 0 points1 point ago

This is me every night. Fuck you effexor.

[–]Sitron 0 points1 point ago

This happened to me last night. It was about ruining all my future plans of getting educated and going to jail and such.

[–]Nashvillians 0 points1 point ago

Yes

[–]GuavaEater 0 points1 point ago

So, I heard you like switching success kid memes into bad luck Brian memes.

[–]trimeta 0 points1 point ago

This happens to me sometimes, but I've found that if I roll over onto my other side, that wakes me up enough that when I fall back asleep, I don't resume the same dream.

[–]misspearlgearl 0 points1 point ago

This happens to me all the time!! Oh well, at least it works with the good dreams too...

[–]AnimalsTrollToo 0 points1 point ago

I used to get nightmares a lot when I was a kid, so I learned:

Keep your eyes open ,-while-, you keep them in darkness. If you close your eyes you imagined the nightmare so keeping them open lets you drift off asleep not thinking about the nightmare. As a result I've never had the nightmare re-appear doing this.

[–]MSTFFA -1 points0 points ago

Now THIS is a good use of the meme.

[–]prongs06 -1 points0 points ago

First Bad luck Brian to actually make me break a smile.

[–]KingEmperor -1 points0 points ago

This was pisspoor execution.

It should have been something like "Wakes up from nightmare" - "Is in the middle of a warzone" or some shit.

This was so bad u should fuck ur eyeballs

[–]Beelzebub1 0 points1 point ago

This one actually happened to me. I was dreaming the my younger brother and I were in a fight to the death in my parents' back yard. Just as he's about to slit my throat, I wake up... and I'm in Baghdad.

[–]KingEmperor 0 points1 point ago

That must have sucked like a blackhole, but it would make for a way better "BLB". Whoever made this sucks even more than waking up in Baghdad

[–]EndiveMassacre -1 points0 points ago

No joke. This is what happened to Hitler. He had an ongoing nightmare where he was kicked out of art school and forced to lay bricks for a living. After a few months he went to see his shrink, and the shrink told him that he had "Höhenangst". Hitler tried to reach out to all of his friends, but they kept saying that it was all in his head, and that he should just party with them in the Black Forrest. Over time, Hitler finally decided the best way fight his nightmares was to counter them, hence the former art loving pacifist became the idol worshiping genocidal maniac we all know today.

Hell, on the sub level he only married Eva Braun because he loved painting trees on muddy landscapes.

Anyway, his psychosis got so out of control because Jewish psychiatrists wouldn't accept "personal works of art" as payment for psychotherapy. Eventually Hitler snapped.

[–]Upvote_Array 0 points1 point ago

Actually, he went insane 'cause of mustard gas.

[–]EndiveMassacre -1 points0 points ago

Well at least we can all blame the Holocaust on mustard gas now. To bad America dumped the barrels of that gas they didn't use just off shore of North Carolina.

Uncle Sam says you're welcome every time you go on spring break and get a chemical burn.

[–]DOWNVOTES_SYNDROME -1 points0 points ago

THIS ISN'T NEARLY RIDICULOUS ENOUGH TO BE A LEGITIMATE USE OF THIS MEME. IT'S COMMON TO FALL BACK ASLEEP INTO YOUR DREAM.

[–]Daviska -4 points-3 points ago

I REALLY LOL'D
