I recently heard about some sort of app that is supposed to prevent this from happening. I guess you put in the numbers of people you don't want to drunk dial. I'm not sure how it works, but if I were making it I would have the user take some sort of drunk test if the app were on before he/she could text or make a call.

I have a "little black book" app that lets me lock certain people's phone numbers during a block of time. It's set up so from midnight to six in the morning, my phone won't let me open the contact. Has saved me from a few drunken bad times.

I have about 6 exes I talk to that frequently. Maybe two that I don't. They're mostly a part of the same group of friends and we all hang out and get drunk without a whole lot of drama or issue.
