Poor Leo...I feel so bad for the guy. I've been a fan of just about every movie he's starred in, yet I have to watch all that talent get snubbed at the Oscars every year.

[–]Danobc 79 points80 points ago

well the oscars suck anyway, but if you care: he'll get his awards in 10 years for some forgettable movie like Al Pacino.

[–]themightyscott 21 points22 points ago

The Oscars is the definition of a waste of time. They very rarely choose the best film of the year. It is invariably whatever film they feel is worthy of an Oscar. Look at the travesty that was The King's Speech getting the award in a year of some incredible nominees. This is coming from an Englishman too. Scorsese had to wait until the Departed?! Whilst it is a good film, I think you'll agree it isn't a pinch on Goodfellas or Taxi Driver.

It is also the most incredible gathering of egos I think there is. They are all so humble in their speeches, but we all know the hatred inherent in the losers minds. Fuck em. They can have their pat-on-the-back ceremony, but why do we all have to get so excited about it?

[–]Alexxandros 50 points51 points ago

The King's Speech was fucking fantastic. It wasn't my pick but it still was excellent enough to deserve it's win. I don't know what you're talking about.

[–]thumbtacforbreakfast 13 points14 points ago

The King's Speech was not a travesty.

[–]themightyscott 1 point2 points ago

I did not call the film a travesty, I said the film beating the others was a travesty. King's Speech was a perfectly good film, but was not good enough to win Best Picture.

[–]TIGGER_WARNING 6 points7 points ago

They can have their pat-on-the-back ceremony, but why do we all have to get so excited about it?

You don't. I don't think about celebrities unprompted, ever. I never know about the awards shows and get them mixed up whenever my friends mention them. I don't watch television. I might watch an episode of something like family guy every couple of months or so on hulu. I go to the movies with my girlfriend and friends sometimes and stream movies at home once in a while. When I'm not watching a show or movie, I'm not thinking about anything to do with celebrities. I don't seek out celebrity gossip/news and only see small amounts of it via the sites I frequent.

The reason you get so excited about the oscars is that you choose to get excited about the oscars. "Fuck [some component] of celebrity culture" is just your way of buying into that component of celebrity culture. If you really want freedom from it, stop talking about it.

[–]saintwhiskey 8 points9 points ago

What are you talking about? IMO the Kings Speech had phenomenal acting, cinematography, story arc etc...

The Departed is Scorsese distilled... Again, phenomenal character acting, cinematography... the same as I mentioned above.

I own a video production company so I do like to think I know what I'm talking about. What are you talking about?

I do agree that the Oscars are a total waste of fucking time btw. But those two movies are beautiful.

[–]rotten_miracles 28 points29 points ago

I own a video production company

Read: I have a YouTube channel.

[–]Happypants 1 point2 points ago

He never implied it wasn't Oscar-worth in any way. He pointed out that it should not have been Scorsese's first Oscar.

[–]kolossal 1 point2 points ago

The problem is that forgettable movies win over true classics. Dancing with Wolves, while an excellent movie, cannot compare at all to Goodfellas, yet it beat it in almost every category. Look at them now tho, DwW is being played in Hallmark Classics or w/e while Goodfellas still gets played on HBO.

[–]furiousjim 1 point2 points ago

I have no idea how you can label The King's Speech as a 'travesty'. My mind is fucked.

I can understand why you would single out a director such as Scorcese for not getting an Oscar, but at the end of the day countless directors haven't revcieved awards that they could or should have gotten, namely Kubrick, Hitchcock and hell even Tarantino!

The Oscar's is a celebration of film. The King's Speech was a memorable, well produced film that deserved what it was awarded.

I could go on, but I am just commenting, on a comment of something that has no relevance so I'll leave it at that, sorry 'themightyscott' I think you're wrong.

[–]TheNerdWithNoName 11 points12 points ago

Poor bastard is only the second highest paid actor behind Tom Cruise. Fuck coming second to that tool.

[–]DownpoursForAll 1 point2 points ago

If I was making that kind of dosh, I could come in second all day long.

[–]langusten 68 points69 points ago

Context of the gif?

[–][deleted] 19 points20 points ago

Leonardo hoping for an Oscar I believe. This was after Inception so he definitely had his hopes up.

[–]spermfoot 83 points84 points ago

Leonardo Di Caprio squirming at fancy-patoodee award show.

[–]Karmolicious 48 points49 points ago

What? What's a fancy-patoodee ? Not a native english speaker. Never heard the word. Tried googling and basically got a facebook person with frog picture

[–]jaycrew 30 points31 points ago

I think he meant patootie, such that the party was "fancy-ass".

[–]Trip_McNeely 4 points5 points ago

So a fancy fancy-ass party?

[–]ElKaBongX 7 points8 points ago

TRIP MC NEELY! Man, you're a legend

[–]runway 6 points7 points ago

Here. Just have an upvote.

[–]carthis 5 points6 points ago

Fancy ass-party?

[–]DucSteve 11 points12 points ago

patoodee is slang small children would use, possibly in reference to butts

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points ago

As a butt etymologist I can confirm this.

[–]mordacthedenier 12 points13 points ago

As an etymologist etymologist I can confirm there are butt etymologists.

[–]r0cksteady 2 points3 points ago

[–]Retawtrams 1 point2 points ago

wtf did I just watch

[–]Cptn_Hook 2 points3 points ago

The most common iteration of the word "patootie" is in the phrase "cutie patootie." It's basically a nonsense word used simply because it sounds cutesy and rhymes.

While its most common definition can be interpreted as slang for "butt," it's almost never used on its own.

Occasionally, a person will attempt to tack it onto another word, such as in the phrase, "fancy patootie," but this rarely ever works.

Basically -- you don't really need to worry about it. You might never hear it again.

[–]CallsEmLikeISeesEm 4 points5 points ago

Its supposed to be snooty patootie. See... they rhyme.

[–]i_made_it_up 13 points14 points ago

[–]langusten 8 points9 points ago

Thanks!

[–]NateTheGreat424 27 points28 points ago

This is how I feel with a laptop that can hardly run Portal 1.

[–]minizanz 40 points41 points ago

so, get portal 2.

[–]asthepenguinflies 7 points8 points ago

I jumped all over that shit earlier—bought the portal pack for my wife too. Chances are, she won't play it, but it was like $6.50, so I'm good with that.

[–]stash0606 29 points30 points ago

Console gamer here.

First time checking out Steam summer sale.

[–]Dr-Rex-Cannon 36 points37 points ago

Your use of the word "chortled" filled me with mirth.

[–]tyrghast 16 points17 points ago

The sight of the word 'mirth' caused me great gaiety.

[–]Catsler 4 points5 points ago

Do you like fish sticks?

[–]Ryzik 1 point2 points ago

I dont know why but it was your comment that made me laugh the hardest I have in a long time.

[–]Kilsimiv 1 point2 points ago

Your reply with the word "gaiety" warmed me with all the beatitude my heart could muster.

[–]kernozlov 2 points3 points ago

I laughed.

[–]impiaaa 12 points13 points ago

My Hackintosh is honestly the best thing that's ever happened to me. Never had it go down once (on its own accord, anyway)

[–]TooMuchTongueGuy 54 points55 points ago

gotta get one dem slutty PC's. they go down eeeeasy.

[–]HailSeitan 18 points19 points ago

Careful. The last slutty PC I was with gave me a Trojan... it itched for weeks!

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points ago

Sounds like a latex allergy.

[–]goomba870 2 points3 points ago

I get the occasional kernel panic, but for the most part my hackintosh works great. I bend it pretty hard too with Photoshop, XCode, Logic, Ableton, and After Effects. All of these run extremely well with nearly 100% uptime if I'm mindful not to hotswap any USB devices.

[–]rxninja 2 points3 points ago

Same. I built one in February and it's been amazing to me ever since. It's only ever crashed because of something stupid I did, like trying to edit DSDT files without guidance.

I still can't believe how few Mac users know about Bootcamp.

[–]sandmansandine 23 points24 points ago

I just put windows 7 on my Macbook Pro with Bootcamp and it is probably now the best Windows machine I've ever owned.

[–]zublits 7 points8 points ago

I should hope so for the price they charge for them.

[–]i_suck_teddy_thumbs 15 points16 points ago

I can't believe how long I waited to do this. Best decision I ever made, all those Total War games on my macbook pro!

[–]Slaytallica13 5 points6 points ago

Use it in my Mac pro to play all the games

[–]theriddler132 16 points17 points ago

bootcamp? please tell me more

[–]maestro78 49 points50 points ago

Bootcamp

It's a utility that comes standard on all Macs for the past couple of OS iterations. It handles the partitioning of your hard drive and the installation of a Windows OS on that partition.

For example, I have a mac mini which has the Mac OS as well as Windows 7. When I want to install a windows only game, I just boot up the mac mini in Win7 and go!

[–]theriddler132 18 points19 points ago

and it works well? like If it wanted to purchase a windows game it would run well?

[–]maestro78 25 points26 points ago

It works very well, yes. I don't normally play hardware intensive games, but games like Civ 5 or Sins of a Solar Empire, work great.

My specs are 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, 4GB memory, AMD Radeon HD 6630M with 256 MB memory (I think those are the vid card specs, i'm not at home)

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points ago

Heck yeah! I've been playing Skyrim running widows 7 on bootcamp! Love it!

[–]Cormophyte 10 points11 points ago

Skyrim, Crysis 2, Spec Ops: The Line, TF2, all fast, all highest graphics settings at 1080, all pristine. It's just a streamlined way to get a Windows partition created alongside (or on a separate disk) the MacOS install, get Windows set up, and get the appropriate drivers installed.

[–]Shyntzyne 4 points5 points ago

How do you get it to run high settings? I have to run my bootcamped games really low. (warning: I know very little about gaming)

2GHz Intel Core i7, 4 GB memory. I do have the integrated graphics card (Intel HD Graphics 3000, 384 MB) which I assume is my downfall.

Am I just screwed? I also have very little hard drive space left on my windows partition, clearing that up wouldn't help, would it?

[–]Cormophyte 6 points7 points ago

Yeah, the graphics card is what provides a lot of the processing power a game utilizes, generally speaking, of course. I have an old quad core Mac Pro, but I threw an ATI 5770 in it. Although I have to compare my new settings to the settings/resolution that I used with the old 1650x I'd approximate my frame rates tripled if I were to bring them down to my old settings.

So basically you're stuck with what you've got, the bottleneck is almost definitely at your video card. 90% sure without sitting down at it.

[–]TheNovelNovelty 3 points4 points ago

Yes its the integrated graphics. These people are saying bootcamp is great have good machines. Bootcamp does nothing to improve or detriment your computers performance... All it does is allow you to install a different OS.

[–]TokenScottishGuy 1 point2 points ago

Just a couple of things to make sure you are getting the best out of your GFX card. Make sure the driver is up to date and also make sure powersaving mode isn't on in Windows (which I wasn't used to having a Mac).

[–]menasan 1 point2 points ago

yeah your cpu clock and your graphics card are whats tanking you.

[–]michaelsong55 4 points5 points ago

best thing in the world

[–]palmsugar 6 points7 points ago

Why not use the Mac version of Civ 5? You automatically have both Mac and PC versions on Steam.

[–]maestro78 20 points21 points ago

Believe it or not, the windows versions runs better than the Mac version on the same hard ware.

[–]Tier4 12 points13 points ago

Not hard to believe, Windows 7 runs better on Mac hardware than OSX does when it comes to games.

http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux_windows_part3&num=1

[–]davepople 7 points8 points ago

I believe it!!!

[–]zacistan 6 points7 points ago

DirectX may have something to do with that.

[–]mardish 2 points3 points ago

And Apple still releases notably bad drivers for their hardware. Sad, really.

[–]b-rand-nazgul 1 point2 points ago

If you've got the money you can also buy parallels (basically bootcamp only you can run both windows and osx at the same time) and upgrade your ram to 8gb. You can do this yourself in about 15 minutes without voiding your warranty (look up directions on apples website). Buying 8gb of ram can cost around 50-60 dollars and parallels costs 80. With this you can be playing games in windows and browsing reddit in osx at the same time!

[–]sgtcasey 2 points3 points ago

The only issue here is that running a virtual machine with Windows still requires your Windows OS to access the Mac hardware through OS X. Using Bootcamp allows Windows full direct access to the Mac hardware resulting in better performance.

[–]fotzenwasser 1 point2 points ago

So..parralels is just a virtual machine or what?

[–]KMartSheriff 1 point2 points ago

Yes, and a waste of money really. BootCamp is free after all

[–]Pchanizzle 7 points8 points ago

It works perfectly. That mac you have is just an intel machine just like any other PC. Bootcamp lets you dual boot into windows.

[–]Gestalt911 1 point2 points ago

Very well. You'll see a lot of computer benchmark sites using it for games on Macs. Note: you will need a copy of windows to install, it's not just giving you free Windows and it will take up as much space as a full windows install.

[–]Tascar 2 points3 points ago

Yes, it boots the OS natively, so no emulation slow down. It's as if you had the same specs on a PC.

[–]KamiKagutsuchi 1 point2 points ago

OS is just like a connection between software and hardware. All computers whether they be macs, pcs or microwaves are completely similar on the hardware side (just different specs of course).

[–]Sly_R 1 point2 points ago

Well enough that PC World ranked the MacBook Pro as the best performing Windows laptop a couple of years back.

[–]OmegaVesko 2 points3 points ago

As well as it would run on any PC that came with Windows, yes. There's absolutely no difference in hardware, it's not like you're emulating it.

[–]Apostropartheid 1 point2 points ago

Not quite, but basically, true: games for OS X have to be rewritten in OpenGL, which gives it a small but marked performance penalty on the same hardware, not to mention the differences in drivers. This may diminish should gaming on Macs mature.

[–]CAKEDONTLIE 1 point2 points ago

So ik about bootcamp, but I still have to buy a legit windows os to run any windows games right? Like, this ?

[–]maestro78 4 points5 points ago

Exactly. If your Mac can handle the 64bit version of windows7, definitely install that. It makes a big difference.

[–]thatwontdopig 2 points3 points ago

I believe all mac hardware since snow leopard fully supports 64 bit windows and in some cases requires it.

[–]iamdanhi 1 point2 points ago

Also on a sidenote, if you want to can completely just install Windows 7 on it also and wipe out OS X.

I owned a MBP for about a year to try it, but about 3/4 of the way through I just ended up wiping OS X and installing Windows, then ended up selling it. They're good laptops, just not for me.

[–]lost_and_crowned 1 point2 points ago

Re: bootcamp. Does that make my Mac susceptible to Windows viruses?

[–]maestro78 3 points4 points ago

Yes! Keep your Msoft Security Essentials updated!

[–]Houli 2 points3 points ago

Only while using Windows.

[–]the-gatekeeper 2 points3 points ago

yes but only the windows partition. your mac partition will be fine

[–]plazmamuffin 34 points35 points ago

What? I can't hear you over the sound of all of these downloads!

[–]DaveFishBulb 48 points49 points ago

Is your computer literally steampowered?

I know that feel bro... Restart + option key

[–]Tier4 22 points23 points ago

Too bad even the new Imacs have a lacklustre graphics subsystem.

[–]kewlfocus 4 points5 points ago

You'd be surprised. I get 30 FPS on BF3 in Ultra settings ( everything on high) on my 27" iMac at native resolution!

[–]davepople 17 points18 points ago

Although it does have a Notebook graphics card, it isn't exactly a bad Notebook graphics card:

[–]1338h4x 72 points73 points ago

Linux here. I hate you all.

[–]memestheword 138 points139 points ago

You hate yourself.

[–]gH0o5T 25 points26 points ago

Why don't you just... use Windows?

[–]TheKDM 6 points7 points ago

Linux is free and more highly customizable, and it's fun to fuck around with, a lot of distros can run great on low-end machines, there's cool stuff like a 50mb linux distro, Damn Small Linux, you can run linux on a bunch of architectures, lots of distros have neat features, I could keep going on and on. Heck, some people just don't like windows and/or microsoft.

No, windows software tends not to work well in linux even in wine - I generally recommend dual booting or a windows VM if you want to make a linux distro your primary OS.

[–]MaximumAbsorbency 13 points14 points ago

NONE OF WHICH PLAY GAEMS

[–]1338h4x -3 points-2 points ago

Because I don't like Windows.

[–]mordacthedenier 84 points85 points ago

Refuses to install windows to play windows games.

Complains about not being able to play windows games.

[–]ilikehamburgers 13 points14 points ago

Looks like you don't like Linux either.

[–]DICKTracey 15 points16 points ago

well then shut up with you're complaining. You've made you're bed now lie in it, while not playing games.

[–]shrimpchipsaregood 25 points26 points ago

your

your

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

To be honest, you do have a valid point. I would be using Linux right now if I had a second working computer to use while installing.

[–]gH0o5T 3 points4 points ago

So you don't like games?

[–]thebestwes 10 points11 points ago

Not as much as he likes other things, apparently. It's kind of shocking, but some people don't have games as their highest priority when picking out a computer or operating system.

[–]Bainemo 5 points6 points ago

yeah like all those things linux does better than windows

all those

many things

[–]RaindropBebop 2 points3 points ago

Oh, man. That made me man-giggle.

To be fair, though, it is legally free.

[–]Indestructavincible 1 point2 points ago

Don't worry, I heard from the trusted internet service that this is the year of Linux on the desktop.

[–]the-gatekeeper 1 point2 points ago

wine?

[–]SlackerSC 2 points3 points ago

Man half the time I have more fun getting the games to work in Wine than I do actually playing the game.

Then I go and play some native humble bundle games :D

[–]IWannaBeAlone 18 points19 points ago

You know, games with a Mac client or that run on Mac are accessible by clicking the Mac tab on Steam and if you buy a game, you get access to both the Mac and PC clients, generally speaking. Sometimes I fire up Team Fortress 2 or Crusader Kings 2 on my Mini if I'm too lazy to turn on my PC.

Edit to add: I'm too lazy to investigate personally but according to this post, Indie Bundle I, Crusader Kings II, Portal 2, and some of the flash deals offer Mac versions. I'd check the daily post to see which of each day's deals run on Mac if you're too lazy to use Bootcamp.

[–]squidzilla 1 point2 points ago

i picked up crusader kings 2 today and I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON. don't even know how to bang my wife to get me some heirs. man.

[–]smosher13 1 point2 points ago

My boyfriend sent me this post

You're welcome.

[–]DarkerMaster 26 points27 points ago

So install windows on it.

[–]Canuckfan007 10 points11 points ago

Exactly, use bootcamp. Pretty straightforward, and doesn't take too long at all.

[–]schmeen 21 points22 points ago

My husband and I made an indie game that runs on PC, Mac and Linux. Just a suggestion :)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/104200/?snr=1_7_suggest__13

[–]1338h4x 9 points10 points ago

Looks cool. Where do I get the Linux version?

[–]Indestructavincible 1 point2 points ago

http://www.bigfatalien.com/BEEP/buy.html

When I watched the video, the splash title was "Big Fat Alien" so I googled that and "games".

This lead me to the link. Linux sounds hard to use.

[–]gH0o5T 2 points3 points ago

That was so cute to read. :)

[–]SimplyJames 1 point2 points ago

That actually looks pretty fun. Sold me on it. Keep it up.

[–]MrHaddad1213 1 point2 points ago

I've had this game for a few days. Absolutely love it.

Never thought I'd actually meet those who made it. Thank you for what you did. Playing it makes me happy.

Please make more games in the future. Your business starts small, but so did Valve.

[–]RagingPlatypus 5 points6 points ago

If you don't want to dual boot, you can always use Wine.

[–]Digilord 2 points3 points ago

Does that actually work?

[–]digitalpencil 8 points9 points ago

it's okay

[–]eosh 2 points3 points ago

I usually end up drunk...

/rimshot

[–]urmik1999 1 point2 points ago

Yes, if you know how to use it!

[–]flyguysd 6 points7 points ago

I can't help but feel bad for Di Caprio. If there was one actor who has been snubbed the most for Oscars, it's him.

[–]JustinFromMontebello 4 points5 points ago

"YOU HAVE DONE THAT YOURSELF" - Obi Wan

[–]Fulcan 10 points11 points ago

Bootcamp.

It's a wonderful thing. Im currently running Win 7 on my 2012 MBP and it runs flawlessly. Whenever I want to play a PC game (like Tribes: Ascend or later this week DayZ) I just boot it in Win mode and get my game on. When I'm done, hop back over to OSX side and feel fantastic.

Edit: Also, in case you aren't sure how Bootcamp works, it's incredibly easy and takes all of 5 minutes to get windows started on installing. OSX walks you through the whole thing.

[–]TheTedinator 1 point2 points ago

What's the best/cheapest way to get a copy of Windows.

[–]Rolling_Go 2 points3 points ago

This is why you use Boot Camp.

I have a 2009 MBP and I know that feel, even after bootcamp it couldnt run most of the newer games (ran diablo 3 on low settings) so i broke down and bought a decent gaming tower.

[–]Windchill 1 point2 points ago

I too am a Mac however I'm getting an alien ware soon so I'm still buying.

[–]nickateen 1 point2 points ago

Bootcamp. It's been said millions of times already.

[–]P00CH00 1 point2 points ago

To be fair... this is how I feel with a PC after the steam summer sale

[–]ms_emerika 1 point2 points ago

I don't feel that bad. I just got Portal 2. Win-win IMO.

You run a Mac, you get the best of both worlds. Partition your drive and install Windows via Bootcamp. You can even run Win 8 right now for free, Microsoft has a downloadable ISO that you can use until September.

[–]Boneslatch 1 point2 points ago

i honestly dont understand... im using a mac and have already found 5 good games under 10 bucks

[–]swearinhagen 1 point2 points ago

Try to walk a mile in linux's shoes. Then you'll really know what it's like to lose.

[–]aggrazel 17 points18 points ago

Hop on over to /r/buildapc and learn how you can own a fairly competent PC gaming system for under $1k.

[–]TheyAreWatching 22 points23 points ago

you can own a fairly competent PC gaming system for under $1k.

For around $500 (plus operating system) in most cases. Going towards $1k will get you a fantastic system.

'Cause you know, everyone can just shit money and time, right?

[–]Ras_H_Tafari 24 points25 points ago

time, maybe, but I don't see how any Apple user can complain about money

[–]ChiperSoft 7 points8 points ago

My macbook pro was paid for by my employer.

[–]seabass101dg 6 points7 points ago

Or just spend the money you would use to buy a brand new iProduct on a more decent homebuilt system and the time you would spend on reddit to put it together (which is seriously only an hour).

[–]Indestructavincible 1 point2 points ago

But Apple, aside from their workstation Mac Pro, only sells thin notebooks and all-in-one computers.

The fact is if you want a powerful all-in-one or thin laptop, you can't build it for $500.

I am sure something about blah blah who cares about form factor will come up, and the answer is many.

[–]seabass101dg 3 points4 points ago

The original comment by aggrazel was in regards to computer gaming. While the Mac Book Pro has a discrete graphics card and can handle most games fairly well, it is by no means a respectable gaming computer simply because it is a laptop.

In regards to powerful all-in-one, a homebuilt PC (running Mac or Windows) will always be cheaper than an equivalent Apple pre-built.

[–]MainManBlackDynamite 9 points10 points ago

I love how people tell you to spend that extra $1,000 you have on building a gaming PC to solve your problem.

Portal 2, CS Source, Knights of the Old Republic, and a bunch of others are on sale for mac...

Leo is awesome.

[–]Well_then_sir 2 points3 points ago

I feel the same way, except I'm broke and have a family to spend the money on.

[–]omnilynx 3 points4 points ago

I don't know what emotion this is supposed to be portraying.

[–]gregmax 7 points8 points ago

get outta here, android.

[–]rainydayglory 6 points7 points ago

get a cheap PC for games, mac for work

[–]Khiraji -1 points0 points ago

Or a PC for work and, you know, get work done.

[–]fswmacguy 4 points5 points ago

This mindset is pretty short-sighted.

If you can find Logic (or a proper Logic alternative) on Windows or Linux, please do share.

[–]galient5 2 points3 points ago

How about reason?

[–]mirv321 7 points8 points ago

Because everyone is a professional music editor.

[–]onefingersnap 6 points7 points ago

No, but apparently, he is.

[–]gergl 3 points4 points ago

umm ableton? there are tons of options with pc for great capable music editing. most vst plugins are virtually identical so all you need is a good interface. ableton delivers and then some

[–]cabritar 1 point2 points ago

It's funny because I see it the other way around.

You want a high end gaming machine to play all the awesome new titles @ high graphical settings while having a cheap Mac to do mundane "work".

Or just build a high end Mac and do both.

[–]clopnaz 2 points3 points ago

what part of the mac makes it more suitable work and not just less suitable for gaming? I'm just asking because I dual booted linux for a while to do 'work' until I realised there was no point whatsoever

[–]urmik1999 1 point2 points ago

Or just build a high end Mac and do both.

You're serious? ಠ_ಠ

[–]MackPro 1 point2 points ago

Wineskin could run them, just check the WineHQ AppDB first.

I don't even have a computer and I nearly bought Portal 2 and Skyrim just now. I already have Skyrim for Xbox.
