I love summer in the UK, best day of the year.

[–]OneFootInTheDave 126 points127 points ago

[–]FighterOfFoo 36 points37 points ago

When it's really hot at night, I can't sleep.
When it's raining at night, there's nothing better than to listen to the rain as I fall to sleep.

[–]ToasterAtheism 17 points18 points ago

[–]MabyLater 5 points6 points ago

Wich leads to me putting on ''The fragrance of Dark coffee'' automaticly Sweet dream indeed.

[–]Ballsaxs 1 point2 points ago

Don't forget the classiest part

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

I love your username.

[–]Pieloi 4 points5 points ago

I had to build a feckin' dam in my back yard. Still had fun.

[–]TheHarp 5 points6 points ago

The only reason I dislike it raining all the time is that it slows down my Internet connection. Apart from that, I agree!

[–]JAV0K 7 points8 points ago

Sorry, but why? How does rain effect your Internet speed?

[–]lunacraz 18 points19 points ago

if it's cable, could mean more people indoors therefore less bandwidth

[–]mac3 4 points5 points ago

I'm going to assume he has some kind of dish line-of-sight connection that the rain/clouds interfere with.

[–]rhod0psin 2 points3 points ago

For about ten years we were stuck with a connection that crackled viciously during phone conversations when moisture got into the cable. Every time BT engineers came out they said it seemed fine, but didn't change the fact it would ruin our bandwidth and stop us being able to talk to anyone. Finally had that problem sorted about 15 years later and now just have to contend with wind bringing the cable down now and then.

I only live about ten miles from a town, but it's not a very big town...

[–]Bondsy 1 point2 points ago

Not sure about that, but we had bad rain and some lightning last night in the southern US, and my internet would cut out for about a minute every 20-30 mins. Nothing bad, but very annoying while online gaming.

I'm sure mine was from the bad weather, but maybe long rains, such as weeks at a time, cause people to overload the internet more? I dunno.

[–]noradrenaline 1 point2 points ago

Every time it rains here, the rain gets in the BT cabinets that are buried underground and we lose phonelines and internet for the entire road.

[–]Sqwalnoc 2 points3 points ago

exactly. everytime it doesn't rain I get obliterated by incredible hayfever

[–]inormallyjustlurkbut 1 point2 points ago

When filming this scene, Gene Kelly was actually suffering from a very high fever (103F/39C). So in a way, you're saying that you feel very hot in the summer.

[–]Laurifish 1 point2 points ago

That's how I would be! Here in Missouri they're trying to declare the state and agricultural disaster area due to crops lost to the drought. It is so dry here that someone was brush-hogging (mowing) and hit a rock and it caused a spark that instantly caught and burned 1200 acres of national forest. We've gotten a few minutes of rain, but usually with the sun still shining and it just turns to steam almost instantly raising the humidity to ridiculous levels. (And MO is usually a humid state anyway, I've seen 100% humidity many times.) Probably the only good thing about the drought is that our humidity on the average day has been low.

[–]Dan_the_moto_man 186 points187 points ago

Oh, it rains here in America, too.

Then the sun comes out 5 minutes later and turns the outdoors into a sauna.

[–]silverbackjack[S] 162 points163 points ago

Yeah but while it's been sunny in the US it's been raining EVERY DAY. Not just little drops but those big fuckoff drops that come down with such force they kill frail old ladies.

Edit: Two weeks of rain so far.

[–]ILL_Show_Myself_Out 67 points68 points ago

"fuckoff" as an adjective is fun, usually it's a verb in America.

[–]silverbackjack[S] 68 points69 points ago

It's a regional thing in the UK. In Yorkshire (where I'm from) it's commonly used (at least amongst my circle of friends) to emphasize the size of something.

Big is interpreted as big-ish and FUCKOFF BIG is like huge/gargantuan/colossal/elephantine.

I think the reason we say FUCKOFF in that context is because it requires more brain power and time to think of a word like COLOSSAL or even HUGE and thus the sentence becomes broken as the time required to dig out such a word from our slang filled, whippet loving, flat cap wearing brains is filled with sounds like, "Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmm" and "durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr."

[–]this_sort_of_thing 87 points88 points ago

It's not a regional thing, people use it in London too

bloody northerners

[–]No_Plug_Here 80 points81 points ago

posh southern twat

[–]sleeper_service_gsv 38 points39 points ago

As a northener, I support this statement.

[–]fenney 27 points28 points ago

Being from the midlands, I agree with both sentiments.

[–]this_sort_of_thing 18 points19 points ago

In any inevitable civil war, I think both of us would agree to taking out the midlands before anything actually started. Sort of like what the Nazis and Soviets did to Poland, to give historical context. That's right, you are the Poland of England. Well done.

[–]rolandparkwaydrive 7 points8 points ago

Except invading the midlands would be like invading Russia in the winter for you. You would not survive.

[–]EgonAllanon 31 points32 points ago

fucking northern monkey.

[–]sicsemperTrex 33 points34 points ago

This Yankee prick loves watching you Limey bastards squabble like this.

[–]chouffee 4 points5 points ago

It reminds me of this when I read it.

[–]sleeper_service_gsv 11 points12 points ago

Half a shandy for the fairy.

[–]No_Plug_Here 9 points10 points ago

he won't be able to take his lemonade

[–]Bummins 3 points4 points ago

Southern Furry!

[–]fiestamonkey 3 points4 points ago

You're all fuckin' wee pricks.

[–]Kickstone 2 points3 points ago

You horrible jock fuck.

[–]PipsyDizzle 2 points3 points ago

Portsmouth here, can confirm it's used down my way also!

[–]RodDryfist 1 point2 points ago

sunny sunny Bournemouth! actually that's a complete fucking lie, it's cats and dogs 24/7.

[–]timdiggerm 23 points24 points ago

My parents were in Yorkshire once, and the man on tv called a day we would consider moderately warm (70s, on the Fahrenheit scale) "A SCORCHER!"

If that's a scorcher, you would die here.

[–]DubiumGuy 36 points37 points ago

Hence the reason an Englishman's tanning levels can be graded thus.

mmm pasties

[–]happlepaff 18 points19 points ago

yeah, 70 farenheit is by no means a scorcher. We've had hot days in the UK, but it rarely gets above 86 for more than a day or two.

EDIT: fucking fahrenheit..

[–]Dlax8 5 points6 points ago

Its going to be 90 to mid 90's all week here.

EDIT: I'm in the north.

[–]happlepaff 4 points5 points ago

north of where?? I'm in the Midlands and we're getting nothing above about 14 degrees celcius (about 57 fahrenheit) for the rest of the week, accompanied with drizzle and clouds.

[–]thestickystickman 5 points6 points ago

Now, if it isn't raining for 2 days, it's a drought.

[–]Tabtykins 5 points6 points ago

Thankfully though, due to all this flooding, I'm now able to use my hosepipe again.

[–]newb0rn11 6 points7 points ago

We don't pronounce the letter "t" either, or say the word "the". E.g. "Comin down pub?" constitutes an entire sentence.

[–]K_Swag 2 points3 points ago

So hearing about the heat wave makes you feel hairy and sad?

[–]vrrule 1 point2 points ago

Around here we say fat off. As in "whoa they some fat off titties!"

[–]stvb95 1 point2 points ago

I use "fuckoff" as an adjective too and I live in Wales. I also know a lot of people who use it.

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]eliotmc 11 points12 points ago

I'm from Oxford, we use fuckoff as an adjective all the time, oh and it didn't start raining till 4 o'clock today! That was a bonus.

[–]Oceanfap 1 point2 points ago

started at 5:30 down in Brighton, just as I fucking left work.

[–]boyled 1 point2 points ago

[–]squirrino 4 points5 points ago

Do you sound like you're in Coronation Street? As someone who has always lived in the South (Devon, Cornwall, Gloucester & Isle of Wight) your peoples' accents amuse me. And often irritate me.

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]squirrino 4 points5 points ago

Where are you at uni? My uni is just full of Welsh people, so we don't come across many different accents.

I think every area has colloquialisms though, I've never heard someone outside of the South West (Wales included) use the term "where's it to?"

Pants are underwear, trousers are trousers

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]squirrino 1 point2 points ago

That's why I love the Devonians. Plus, the thick Devon accent is awesome.

I... Don't.. Please don't present me with arguments like that, my brain will just implode. :(

[–]BurntTheToast 15 points16 points ago

There is a difference between sunny and OH MY GOD MY SKIN IS MELTING OFF OF ME!

Seriously the average temperature here in Texas has been 113 the last 3 weeks. You aren't missing out on anything buddy.

[–]cheeto44 7 points8 points ago

I will trade you any damn day. I hate the heat, I got stuck living in Texas and I would be much happier in some nice cool weather, even if it was pissing buckets, so long as I wasn't being strangled by a combination of 100 degree weather and 90% humidity. Seriously its hard to breathe down here.

[–]dayalexc 5 points6 points ago

I'd take that over what we've had in Wisconsin. There hasn't been a good rain (or really any more than a sprinkle) in about a month and a half now. Meanwhile, the temperature and humidity has constantly been high. Everything is brown and dead.

[–]MtHammer 2 points3 points ago

Wanna trade for a few days? My lawn is starting to look depressingly brown.

[–]HandyCore2 2 points3 points ago

Tell you what. My grass is really really dry right now. I'll give you some of our sunshine if you give us some of your rain. Deal?

[–]jemadiah 1 point2 points ago

we shall blame scandinavia!

[–]Tallain 1 point2 points ago

I'll trade you weather. I live in the desert.

[–]willscy 1 point2 points ago

It hasn't rained here in about 3 weeks. All our grass is brown =/

[–]ragmondo 1 point2 points ago

It's going to get better : http://imgur.com/zhYWL

[–]Jill4ChrisRed 1 point2 points ago

I live next to an old folks' complex in Wales. I can confirm this.

[–]bizarromonkey 1 point2 points ago

SO MUCH RAIN, in fact, that there is officially no drought anywhere in the UK.

[–]TheLastRebel98 1 point2 points ago

I am jealous of you, good sir. I love the rain. I would rather be in a rainy place right now than this humidified hellhole.

[–]wolfmann 1 point2 points ago

I'd rather have that much rain... we had like .5 an inch (1.2 cm) in June, and nothing so far in July.

[–]MatomiX 1 point2 points ago

Dude,

Rainy & Cold > Hot & Sunny

[–]namtrix 1 point2 points ago

I want the rain. Oh how I miss it so. I couldn't get enough of it.

[–]melissarose8585 1 point2 points ago

I'm in Utah. We're burning. I'll trade you.

[–]vahntitrio 1 point2 points ago

During the summer any rain we get is generally associated with a thunderstorm, so it comes fast and furious for 10 minutes to an hour and then stops. There is also often strong wind (rendering umbrellas useless) and hail. This is why it is not uncommon to find gatherings at store entrances; all people forced to wait for the storm to subside before returning to their vehicle.

[–]Teledildonic 1 point2 points ago

I lived in England for a year and a half (long ago) and I swear I saw two weeks worth of sunshine over the entire stay. I never knew the world could be so fucking cloudy/drizzly.

Not just little drops but those big fuckoff drops that come down with such force they kill frail old ladies.

I'm sorry, but England rain showers are small-time. It's all wimpy drizzles! Come to southeast Texas in the middle of summer, it's basically liquid hail. And god help you if there is a tropical storm landing. We have a special word for our rain, it's called a Toad Strangler.

[–]SMTRodent 2 points3 points ago

English rain showers usually are small time, yes. However, this year we've been getting more tropical deluges. Very hard, very heavy, VERY LOUD rain which puts a couple of inches of water down in the space of a few minutes. Most of the rain has been just on the heavy side of normal English, but the more tropical rainfall has been hitting once or twice every week.

[–]pickled_cock_sammich 1 point2 points ago

Yeah? We've got large parts of major world farming areas that haven't seen rain in weeks. I would rather have rain then hot, humid, make you drown air. Let's not forget all us neckbeards with seasonal allergies that want to blow our brains out this summer just to stop the sinus headaches.

You're what, wet? Oh boy. That's better than a water ban because of drought. Drought. In the most advanced country in the world, we're suffering from mass drought. Hey, I just forgot about the fires. Bet they would punch you in the face for complaining about rain.

[–]Homletmoo 2 points3 points ago

Actually, in certain circumstances (which have been highly present recently in Surrey, at least), rain actually helps to circulate pollen, meaning Hay-fever has been - if anything - worse over here. But don't worry about us, we're used to the rain - you keep resting and I'm sure the sniffles will soon patch up.

[–]DatBanana1 22 points23 points ago

Same story in Wales :/ I think ive started to grow gills to adapt with the amount of water we are getting down here

[–]katrionatronica 39 points40 points ago

Is that not a by-product of the inbreeding anyway?

[–]spotter300 5 points6 points ago

[–]Mitz510 27 points28 points ago

Well I rather be wet from rain than be wet by stinking sweat.

[–]brittsuzanne 33 points34 points ago

Was expecting crying in the rain Doctor Who .gif

Still not disappointed. Upvoted.

[–]Therianthrope 9 points10 points ago

Where I am we're having problems with both heat and rain. 5 days of 100+, 3 days of flash flood warnings, 6 days of 90+, 4 days of flash flood warnings, etc. It sucks because this area is dependent on outdoor recreation and tourism. That, and I work outside.

[–]rollwit200276 1 point2 points ago

[–]WaterChestnut3 29 points30 points ago

Why is nobody commenting on the movie that the gif is from? D=

[–]DefinitelyNotAGirl 49 points50 points ago

Llama faaaaceeeeee

[–]steelfrog 38 points39 points ago

Why do we even have that lever?

[–]Nerg101 14 points15 points ago

[–]wybird 5 points6 points ago

I'M OK!

[–]adolfhitler__ 15 points16 points ago

What, do you want to know the title? It's the Emperor's New Groove, a hilarious movie and the only work where I actually liked David Spade.

[–]WaterChestnut3 1 point2 points ago

Nah, I know what it is, I just came to the comments expecting people praising it =D

[–]VinceS22 1 point2 points ago

You didn't like Just Shoot Me?

Man adolfhitler__, you can be really critical of people sometimes.

[–]drewmeister 14 points15 points ago

Yay I'm a llama again!

[–]Nerg101 3 points4 points ago

Wait...what?

[–]fiquem 10 points11 points ago

BEST MOVIE. This may be a glorified memory from my childhood, though. I haven't seen it since. I know I loved it to bits. I wanna watch it again.

[–]acciobrainyspecs 9 points10 points ago

It's still good.

[–]cjcrashoveride 8 points9 points ago

I still enjoy it. Me and my mom used to get drunk and watch it crack up laughing.

[–]Nerg101 5 points6 points ago

I watched it the other day and laughed so hard I almost peed. It's still amazing.

[–]No_Warhawkz 8 points9 points ago

devil Krunk doing one armed headstand pushups "Look what I can do."

Krunk: "what does that have to..."
Angel Krunk: No, no. He's got a point."

[–]311excitable1 5 points6 points ago

everything i knew about peru before i went there to serve a mission, i learned from this movie. all hail emperor's new groove. best disney work in years.

[–]scooterjb 4 points5 points ago

My favourite disney movie by far. "Noooo touchie! No touchie... no touch."

[–]perkalot 4 points5 points ago

yaaaay i'm a llama again!!

edit: wait...

[–]epatti0914 4 points5 points ago

Literally just gone watching this movie after going home for vacation and discovering it like buried treasure. This will forever be one of my favorite movies.

[–]stupiduzernam 1 point2 points ago

Can't see it.

[–]Iceeblue 8 points9 points ago

Laughed way too hard. I am a Brit living in Colorado and you captured exactly how it feels when I skype my parents this summer from my deck in the sun.

[–][deleted] 20 points21 points ago

Your deck in the sun? Don't you mean your deck in the fire?

[–]HeyFlo 6 points7 points ago

Meh! Quit your complaining! I'm in the north-east too, and the sun came out for five whole minutes at 10am this morning.

Non-edit: 10am this morning? Brief bit of sun must have frazzled my brain.

[–]SelfImmolationsHell 5 points6 points ago

I want your rain. All of it. Everything is dying.

[–]Toblerone1 10 points11 points ago

I'm in Abu Dhabi and it's hotter than satans asshole. 50 degrees celsius the other day. I would dance in the rain and cry from happiness.

[–]nocheckers 3 points4 points ago

How the hell does that even happen? 122 degrees Fahrenheit for the rest of you murricans. As a texan, I am fucking impressed.

[–]acciobrainyspecs 4 points5 points ago

South Alabama here: It's see-sawing between 100+ degrees with no breeze and severe thunderstorms all in the same day. Result: It's balls hot and feels like breathing mud.

Of course, this is normal weather for us, so...

[–]dexymidnightpunner 11 points12 points ago

Upboated. Seriously, this summer fucking sucks. I thought we had it bad last year, but this takes the piss. Probably made worse by out of town friends continually asking how "Sunny Brighton" is. Bastards.

[–]RodDryfist 2 points3 points ago

feel your pain. Bournemouths 'seven miles of golden sand' counts for shit when it feels like November outside.

[–]pittsburghlee 14 points15 points ago

So English people are llamas? Interesting...

[–]mrbarry1024 28 points29 points ago

Strictly speaking, we're Emperors.

[–]Sixtyn9ne 11 points12 points ago

your new groove intrigues me

[–]410LaxMD 3 points4 points ago

Come smoke with me out in the sun, brother from another mother...land. I feel so bad for you guys and your rainy days :(

[–]Rockermuffin 5 points6 points ago

A massive upboat for using a "The Emperor's New Groove" gif! It seems like there are a lot of other wonderful gifs to be found in that movie.

[–]Genocidicbunny 7 points8 points ago

It's all fun and games in the heatwave until a couple dozen people die from it.

[–]spiderjjr45 17 points18 points ago

Sad English People? Why the not the Doctor?

http://i.imgur.com/VgXCk.gif

[–]gijane480 8 points9 points ago

looking for a doctor, why not zoidberg?

[–]Homletmoo 5 points6 points ago

The only thing about the Doctor that's English is his accent. His character is from Gallifrey, and David Tennant is Scottish.

[–]hiromasaki 2 points3 points ago

The only thing about THAT incarnation of The Doctor...

The Doctor also rather likes London and spends an awful lot of time there...

[–]EvolverSoul 2 points3 points ago

Dude. You fuckin' said it.

[–]wybird 2 points3 points ago

The funniest part about our summer is that until recently many parts of the UK were officially suffering a drought.

[–]Shucks88 2 points3 points ago

As an American(Southern California's High Desert, specifically) that has just taken up a permanent residancy in England(West Midlands), this is entirely too relevant.

I came from desert dry 100f+ days and 80f nights to buckets and buckets of rain every day of the 2 weeks since I've landed.

[–]KittyOomMowMow 1 point2 points ago

As someone fron Phoenix, I am insanely jealous.

[–]george_nunny 2 points3 points ago

It was quite warm in London today. Maybe 22C? I still felt cold, but everyone else was saying how warm it was.

Also, I would happily exchange a week of 35C weather for the same amount of rain we've had this week.

[–]folderol 1 point2 points ago

Wouldn't you still be stuck in the house at 35C? It's not like 35C is enjoyable to anyone on earth.

[–]KarlPilkington[!] 2 points3 points ago

To be fair, as soon as it goes over 24 degrees in England we start complaining about the heat, so we're never really happy.

[–]tiggshad 2 points3 points ago

I'd take your rain. I live in North Carolina (A Southeastern state in America...just in case..)..it has been 101 degrees farenheit for the past two weeks. I literally vomitted for ten hours due to heat exhaustion haha. I work outside so it's my fault I didn't stay hydrated anyway..but still. We should trade lives for a week then I think we'd both be good!

[–]TheAggregator 3 points4 points ago

Kansas, USA here

I'll happily trade you the month of drought we've had for one of your weeks of rain. Do we have a deal?

Not sweet enough? How about I throw in the 7 days of 100F (37C) temps we're looking forward to next week?

[–]katrionatronica 1 point2 points ago

Deal. 37F and dry, finally get to enjoy the outdoors in all those summer clothes I bought in anticipation of us actually having a summer while you refill your reservoirs.

If only we could arrange an actual climate exchange system on a week-by-week basis, so many of the world's problems would be solved.

[–]GrrBeck 1 point2 points ago

Try 100 degrees and high humidity, good luck breathing.

[–]Silence_Is_Necessary 5 points6 points ago

I always laugh at people who moan about the rain. I love the rain!

[–]Rlysrh 7 points8 points ago

I always get angry at people who say they love the rain. What's fun about not seeing blue sky for days on end and getting soaked every time you go outside and not having anything to do because no one wants to leave the house and being cold. :(

[–]Silence_Is_Necessary 3 points4 points ago

The rain is beautiful. I love the smell, the rich colour of the mud, the sound of it clashing with different things, the comfort of watching it from inside with a nice cup of tea, and even the angry-looking sky above. My dogs probably love it because they get extra walks when it's pouring down outside.

Rain can be fun if you have a pair of wellies! I'm a grown man, but I get a lot of satisfaction walking through muddy puddles.

[–]Klowned 2 points3 points ago

Some people don't mesh well with sunlight. Blue skies usually means There is a giant ball of fire spitting radiation and heat on your neck.

[–]Melvar_10 1 point2 points ago

best weather ever..... right after a big rainstorm when the sun comes out, there are still cloud and the sun is out, but its still cold love it

[–]ThatsWhatsUpWithCats 1 point2 points ago

No in Oregon/Washington we had the coldest June in history..I feel like we always have the opposite weather as the rest of the country..

[–]Quietbetrayal 1 point2 points ago

It has rained for a week here in Houston. It's a nice break from the 100 degree weather. I am thoroughly enjoying it. It's still 90% humidity outside but it's better than nothing!

[–]EmptyAndFrantic 1 point2 points ago

I'd take the rain over the total lack of rain combined with the 100+ degree temperatures we've been having here. At least I can go outside when it's just raining.

[–]Sweet_Tooth_VII 1 point2 points ago

The weather here blows (eastern US). Because of that storm about two weeks ago, My dad worked 118 hours in a total of 8 straight days days for a company that cleans up all the fallen trees and such. 118 hours in 8 days. Ridiculous.

[–]Ebeforei 1 point2 points ago

I can't believe they are complaining about rain. We get a 5 minute storm that kills power and returns to sweltering heat. As someone who was visited by someone like your dad, thanks. It's nice to have things returning to normal.

[–]Vorpal_Bunny 1 point2 points ago

Do you need a hug? I gots a hug if you need one.

[–]Jackmangold 1 point2 points ago

Does anyone remember this exact same post except it was a man crying in the rain, actually during the heat wave?

[–]mkhorn 1 point2 points ago

I am moving there immediately. We just declared a state of emergency in WI because we've had no rain for so long.

[–]yusefballin 1 point2 points ago

You wouldn't be feeling that way if you currently lived in california :/ It Was like 110F yesterday.

[–]WadeWi1son 1 point2 points ago

I would rather have the rain then the insane heat we have been having on the east coast here in America, last week it was over 100 degrees every day with crazy high humidity, it was an outdoor sauna for a week only more humid.

[–]JBu92 1 point2 points ago

He threw off my groove!

[–]wplcdf 1 point2 points ago

Sorryyyyy

I was once in london when it broke 100°F for the first time in 450 years of record keeping. There were only three places in the city I knew of that had air conditioning...harrods, starbucks and, the one that was broken, my hotel. In england, heat waves suck hard.

[–]I_am_anonymous 1 point2 points ago

As a Texan, I keep seeing these and thinking, "But the heat wave was last summer..." It has been nice and cool this summer. We've only had about a week over 100 so far. (Cool meaning temps in the 90s.)

[–]StealthNade 1 point2 points ago

we even just had a nice rain storm a few days ago

[–]impjim 1 point2 points ago

Also as an Englishman I'm grateful for the rain.

My dad decided to cancel our trip to the lake district and rearranged for a week in Rome :D

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

I'm glad to be British. I hate heat. Cold summers are quite fine with me. I get to sleep comfortably at night. I'm not feeling hot and suffocated during the day. It's all good.

[–]sheepramewe 5 points6 points ago

There is a drought in my area, I would gladly take any rain I can get. My hay fields are not growing. My horses and sheep are consuming 3 to 10 gallons of water a day. Complain all you want about rain but unless you and your house are underwater its not that bad.

[–]godzirrah 4 points5 points ago

its raining so much here that ive barely been able to grow anything, seeds just wont germinate as the soil is sodden and too cold, not to mention that slugs LOVE the rain and therefore have been eating everything that manages to germinate. weve also just had hose pipe bans lifted after 2 very dry years, so yeah its not actually good here either

[–]Lord-Longbottom 1 point2 points ago

(For us English aristocrats, I leave you this 10 gallons -> 80.0 Pints) - Pip pip cheerio chaps!

[–]Cleanbeats 2 points3 points ago

you don't understand, it's hot as fucking tits here

[–]chalklady0 4 points5 points ago

Raining in central Texas for three straight days. I'd send you some sunshine if I could and if we had some. :]

[–]ketchup0117 2 points3 points ago

Texas' summer has been very mild, I am just glad the heat wave we had last year wasn't in the north east, they all would of died. •Dallas, Texas - 70 days with 100-degree heat sets new record for any year. A littler more than 1/5 of the year was over 100. Americas Hottest summmer ever.

[–]chalklady0 1 point2 points ago

I'm in San Antonio. I've lived in Texas for twenty five yrs. This is the first time I've ever considered it too hot.

[–]kjh242 1 point2 points ago

yes, please do, and ask for some rain in return. That's what's been keeping it so cool down here.

[–]catailcataclysm 1 point2 points ago

Hey how about you send some of that rain to Cleburne -.-

[–]ctborder 1 point2 points ago

Want to trade? You get to live in Tampa, FL. I don't care where you are, it is better than Tampa.

[–]DrunkenLullabies 1 point2 points ago

Im from northern Canada, its hot as hell here too! it was 40 with the humidex in my city on monday

[–]FormerlyEAbernathy 0 points1 point ago

I'll trade you. 40C+ here on average during the summer.

[–]SourCreamWater 0 points1 point ago

I'm in Southern California and it has been hot as fuck. Except I don't deserve any sympathy because it's only been in the upper 80's. I can't imagine what it's been like in Hotlanta.

I guess you just get acclimated to the temps. I am guessing the gulf is finally getting some attention again, though.

[–]Twatamatic 0 points1 point ago

Same post... Next week.

[–]gypsycamptrash 0 points1 point ago

I will trade places with you any day. It's been just too hot for my liking.

[–]uB166ERu 0 points1 point ago

Just moved to London, Amen!

[–]Mudface68 0 points1 point ago

grass is always greener....

[–]matthewtheninja 0 points1 point ago

Where I am (s/e Texas), it has been raining non stop for the last 3 days. But the rain has brought cool weather, so I'm ok with it.

edit: ok, it looks like the sun us coming out now. better not go outside for the rest of the day

[–]ragamuffin77 0 points1 point ago

[–]InTheDangaZone 0 points1 point ago

I feel bad to say this, but I live in Southern California and it is kind of cold right now. It's overcast and was sprinkling earlier. I guess I'm in the one spot where it isn't balls hot.

[–]Lootam 0 points1 point ago

I remember loving this movie from my childhood, yet I can't remember the name. Can anyone of you fine people refresh my memory?

[–]secretgingerbreadman 0 points1 point ago

Want to switch places? You can enjoy our dead grass, the fear of fire because one idiot wanted to light off a few fireworks, and our lack of decent public transportation.

[–]SummerWind18 0 points1 point ago

when I clicked on this all I saw was a tiny black square. I really want to downvote but I like your title.
