I don't know. With the way Obama is bragging about how "His administration took down Osama Bin Laden" you'd think he actually believes he did it. Its kind of a disgrace to the seals who actually DID it.

My biggest thing was his whole campaign he was all about pulling the troops out and no more fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. But when something good does go down, he'll hop on that band wagon in a heartbeat. That's what really pisses me off. Hypocrite.

He did. But we are still in Afghanistan and don't claim to want to pull troops out and be against the wars on both fronts and then turn around and brag about killing someone. That's a very hypocritical thing to do.

I agree that perhaps he should have toned down his celebrations, but Osama Bin Laden was number one on Americas most wanted list and Obama probably would have conducted the strike if Osama had nothing to do with the war in Afghanistan.

But that's the difference. He had everything to do with the war. You could venture out to say Osama Bin Laden is the reason we are still in afghanistan. I don't blame Obama for making the call. I commend him for it. I'm just stating that he shouldn't be so gung-ho "my administration killed Osama" when during his campaign he wanted to pull out of afghanistan. I guess that's all I'm trying to say.

but do you think any politician ever besides maybe Ghandi (if you count him as a politician rather than an activist) would have done any different? Would you have done any different? Who knows but by any means it was no small accomplishment, no matter who achieved it. (and he did thank and congratulate the SEAL's and many others in his speech, look it up).

Oh I'm not belittling the accomplishment but lets not give him more credit than he is due. Its not like him or any of his cabinet members hunted him down. That was all done by military members. I think the only thing he was actually involved in is, we located him, someone called him and he said "Ok lets do it." I'm sure all the planning, coordination, and tracking were done by military members. His administration really had no part in the take down.

I agree with what your saying, but Romney did say a few weeks before the strike was operated that he would not order a strike on Osama Bin Laden if he was elected president, as he thought the backlash from Islamic extremist's would be severe, but in 2012 (and 2011) america has received about 0.01% of all the worlds terrorist attacks and there has been near to no backlash from the strike. and as I said before Obama did thank the Navy SEALS quite extensively in his speech following the strike.

He did. At first he was very well mannered and I liked the way he handled it. Its only become recently, that he's taken it upon himself to remind us in his campaign ads that HE killed Osama. I saw one (fully endorsed by him) that actually said my administration killed Osama Bin Laden.

Yeah I saw that bit with Romney. That's probably one of the more ignorant comments I've ever heard from that man. I respect him but he actually lost my vote when he said that. Its the leader of the worlds most ruthless and evil terror organizations.

Yes Obama should probably not be playing it up as much as he is, but to be fair Obama isn't doing well in the polls (yes he has the woman's and minority vote clinched but over all he isn't doing great) so my expectation is that his campaign adviser's are panicking and telling him to play up the Osama strike and perhaps Obama is panicking himself and taking their advice without consulting a third party adviser first, this is not new to politics (playing up your greatest achievement close to election) but often once a politician gains a level head again these sorts of things often tend to stop, this is what I am expecting to happen to Obama in the coming weeks.

Hopefully so. I guess I just get a little too aggravated when politicians take credit for what hard working military men and women do. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what will unfold in the next few weeks.
