Some of things the Joker actually says in this scene are even more amusing and childish than that.

Shit, I'm going to find this comic and read it. On a different note, deep joker quote here. Not sure but i think its from the killing joke. You all should read it, definitely one of alan moore's best works.

It's called Cacophony and it's by Kevin Smith. The sequel is called The Widening Gyre. I think they are both fantastic.

I think nicholastempus meant the image he linked.

And you would be mistaken.

Definitely from Killing Joke.

I have that comic and that page and the one before it has blank speech bubbles. Do you happen to have the page before it? Your image is the first time I've seen the text for that page.

Here's a place that seems to have quite a few images from that book. You have to right click and "view image" in order to read what they heck they say, though.

Thank you, I'll give it a look.

Surprisely, this re-edited panel was alot better than all of Smith's run on Bat man.

[–]MEGAJOHN 3 points4 points ago

Ahaha "surprisely".

[–]PYRO49 1 point2 points ago

Damn it, I always misspell that word. I'm so disappointed in myself...

[–]yousicklittlemonkey 0 points1 point ago

What is this from? I must have it!

[–]Landeyda 11 points12 points ago

Not the original text. I think it's from Smith's horrible run where he got his friend to draw bad art and smoked way too much pot to write for Batman.

And I say this as a huge Kevin Smith fan.

It's from Batman: Cacophony. I have the copy in front of me here.

I think his ideas are often quite good. I really enjoy the exchange in Cacophony where Joker says that he'll stop his criminal ways once Batman is dead. But then, as usual, Smith undercuts the moment with a lame, predictable dick joke.

I listened to them read a few of the comics on Babble-On a while back and they were pretty bad.

[–]djspaceghost 1 point2 points ago

I enjoyed the radio play versions on the Babble on comicon theatre! But that's just because of Ralph's impressions. The comics themselves are a bit....too wordy? (This is coming from a HUGE Kevin Smith fanboy and an avid reader of Brian Michael Bendis' Powers. I can usually tolerate "wordy") Edit: I guess I didn't feel the words fit the person who was saying them in most cases. Except for Alfred and Maxie Zeus.
