Beware of trading scammers!

A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports).

"Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

  • Posts must be directly gaming-related. Thus, "generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission; similarly, reaction GIFs are also not appropriate as submissions.

  • Following Reddiquette is encouraged

i personaly feel like the Xbox 360 controler is the best ever created for my hand.. PS3 too small, Nintendo's are wierd most of the time ( gamecube, N64 )

I thought the gamecube controller was on of the best. It just felt natural. I don't know about the Xbox 360 though. I only played the old Xbox and that controller was an abomination. The handles were a cheap excuse and you couldn't reach about the controller because of them.

I really dislike Nintendo's affinity for the octagonal analog stick housings, so that alone really has put me off Nintendo's last few proper controllers. And the original Xbox controllers were pretty shit, but the Controller S came out in North America (available upon release in Japan) less than a year after Xbox's debut since everyone hated the original controllers. They became standard, so unless you are complaining about the Controller S, saying that the original Xbox's controller was an abomination isn;t really being fair.

I remember seeing someone that Nintendo spent a lot of time getting the ergonomics of the Gamecube controller right. I don't know why they didn't just bring it back for the Wii U.

Gamecube controller was amazing, except.for the weird button placements. They should've just put 4 of 6 normal buttons on the front in a logical place.

I think the thing about keyboard is that it wouldn't change so much as the standardization of where input goes would. Like the switch from the arrow keys to the standard wasd layout that we have today.

Hmmm...

The Classic Controller Pro is missing (for Wii, same as Classic, but with handles and the 2 Z buttons are moved to usable positions), and the Wii U Pro controller has the buttons on the right swapped with the right joystick.

No love for the Competition Pro Joystick? Or Konix Speedking? They were the only 2 joysticks that anyone I knew used back in the day...the Competition Pro was the Nokia 3210 of joysticks, fecking INDESTRUCTABLE.

Why does Sony keep that stupid design for their controllers? The left analog pad should be higher up, like with the 360 controller. Ergonomics of the PS thing is the worst ... Give me an Xbox controller over a PS controller any day of the week.
