Wow, there is hidden 7th panel on author website.

[–]jcaesar22 0 points1 point ago

That was better than the other panels

[–]POWERFUCKER 17 points18 points ago

OP seems to have carefully removed all credit. Downvote for him.

[–]Bloodfeastisleman 5 points6 points ago

OP probably found it on another website with the credit already removed.

[–]0bsesshun 4 points5 points ago

We don't take kindly to giving the benefit of the doubt round these here parts. Now git!

[–]notnotcitricsquid 1 point2 points ago

or he just found it somewhere else on the internet and posted it here without once considering the origin or modifications made by someone else, they just wanted to share a funny comic they saw?

jesus fuck what is with reddit people recently.

[–]raadjl 22 points23 points ago

But wouldn't global warming (and oil spills as shown in the comic) also affect sea life? What's Aquaman without his sea creatures to help him?

[–]0l1vR 21 points22 points ago

CO2 is killing underwater life aswell. The shell of many creatures are gettibg thinner and thus making them less protective and rendering them the perfect pray to be eventually extinct.

So Aquaman is a huge idiot.

[–]palubalis 6 points7 points ago

What process is behind this?

[–]fensous 13 points14 points ago

CO2 + H20 -> H2CO3 would be my guess. Acid and all that bad stuff.

[–]0l1vR 2 points3 points ago

Yep :)

[–]Thefriendlyfaceplant 1 point2 points ago

And a small note: It's not a result of global warming but it shares the same cause, the increased levels of carbondioxide in the atmosphere are absorbed by the oceans causing it to be more acidic.

[–]Chinook700 0 points1 point ago

Yep, and in fifty years your childrens only chance and knowing what a coral reef looks like will be from history books.

[–]Thefriendlyfaceplant 0 points1 point ago

Well if the coral reefs are gone then we'll be gone shortly after.

[–]chiefheron 3 points4 points ago

It's called ocean acidification, and it has the potential to fuck up the ecosystems of the world just as badly as global warming by itself. Here's a handy dandy Wikipedia article for your perusal: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocean_acidification

[–]Kablaaamo 2 points3 points ago

So useless, he has negative use.

[–]suspect161 0 points1 point ago

Hmm.. yes Aquaman is definitely the first person I've ever seen to say fuck the environment in exchange for more power.

[–]0l1vR 0 points1 point ago

  1. His power is to control the creatures of the sea.
  2. He kills the creatures in this comic.
  3. ???
  4. Fully retarded.

I hope you all get it now. He is not only destroying the enviroment but also his powers and so his plan is complete garbage.

[–]suspect161 0 points1 point ago

He gets rid of the weaker ones.. there is an abundance of life in the ocean and most of it will adapt and thrive in the new conditions, sure some will be lost but for more control it's a deal he is willing to make.

[–]0l1vR 0 points1 point ago

Got you, aquaman!

[–]Mortarius 0 points1 point ago

I think, that increase amount of fresh water would be more deadly, but I might be wrong.

[–]nkktwotwozero 0 points1 point ago

So Aquaman is a huge idiot.

Aquaman as a metaphor for industrialized humanity?

[–]hidden_munky 0 points1 point ago

because the idea of burning oil in the first place was genius?

[–]0l1vR 0 points1 point ago

I said 'aswell' and not 'only'. Of course you're right and aquamen just went fully retarded, but you should make sure that your statements are valid before posting.

[–]hidden_munky 0 points1 point ago

I should try perhaps a heuristic matrix with gui interface next time :D

[–]Locusts 7 points8 points ago

Now, let me tell you something about Aquaman. He's actually pretty cool. He can walk under the ocean! Imagine walking through a pool. Now imagine there's miles of ocean above you. Water is heavy. He can walk and fight under all that pressure. If he punches someone under water, they're hurt and go a good distance, so if he were to go on land, which he has, in Batman: The Brave and The Bold, and he punched people, they would go flying through the air and be unimaginably injured. There's Aquaman for you.

[–]jnez 44 points45 points ago

totally thought he said "faggiest"

[–]redditis4queers 1 point2 points ago

At first I didn't see the last two panels and thought Aquamans blank state was implying that he was peeing in the ocean so often he was causing ocean temps to rise.

tl;dr I'm an idiot.

[–]Malek4316 13 points14 points ago

Link to actual comic please, downvoting for not doing that in original post.

[–]Subtle_AD_Reference 3 points4 points ago

Also removed the source from the bottom, really scummy

[–]Wubby113 -5 points-4 points ago

lol you at like hes trying to make us think he made this. I cant beleive theres so many faggots on reddit who take this source stuff so seriously. For all we know he found the picture like that. Stop making assumptions like a cunt.

[–]Subtle_AD_Reference 0 points1 point ago

Well if he found it like that he could make the effort to copy the url, paste it into google reverse image search and then find the original picture. Or is 10 seconds of his time too much? And "this source stuff" is very serious because these content creators do these comics for you and the only thing they get from it is ad revenue, but when you rehost their comics and dont even give the source they'll get just about no money for their work.

But thanks for the kind words.

[–]Wubby113 0 points1 point ago

if you care so much then you find the source and post it as a comment without sounding like a dickwad. Comic makers should be happy enough that thousands of people are seeing their content and enjoying it. Its not the OPs job to stuff their pockets.

[–]Subtle_AD_Reference 0 points1 point ago

As you can from my post I did google the source, but when I saw Cleeb already posted it and was upvoted enough to be near the top I figured it wouldn't be necessary. And saying comic makers should be happy is the same as saying "video game developers should be happy that thousands of people are pirating their games and enjoying it" and don't tell me now that comic makers don't live from that, there are some that do, and if they'd get actually get credit for their work once in a while I'm sure more comic makers could live from it

[–]Wubby113 0 points1 point ago

Honestly its their fault for trying to make a living as web-comic makers. They should get a real job. And for a second time, its not the OPs job to stuff their pockets. Im just going to give up on this discussion if you insist it is again because you arent worth the time.

[–]Thefriendlyfaceplant 0 points1 point ago

I understand the sentiment but downvoting doesn't help the author either doesn't it? I can imagine if I were the comic creator then I would prefer a heavily upvoted mirror to a downvoted one.

[–]Malek4316 0 points1 point ago

It could help, it would make these people post directly from the website from now on in order to get their precious karma, ooooooooo. Who honestly gives a shit about karma anyways, karmawhores are lame.

[–]BaconBiscuits 2 points3 points ago

It sucks when people hate on Aquaman. I thought he was a bit crap too until I watched Batman: the Brave and the Bold; he's a total bamf! Plus John DiMaggio voices him.

[–]TheOneCurly 1 point2 points ago

He's a pretty cool character but he kinda got the short end of the superpower stick

[–]BaconBiscuits 1 point2 points ago

Oh definitely, I mean Batman doesn't even have superpowers and he's better than Aquaman. I dunno if I'd want to talk to dolphins, they're a sack of crazy.

[–]DraugrMurderboss 0 points1 point ago

They try their best to keep him relevant in-universe.

[–]Dreadnaught_179 1 point2 points ago

Source Please

[–]uranus86 1 point2 points ago

Superman could surely see a huge cloud of smoke rising from the sea and know something fishy was going on.

[–]Fruit-Salad 0 points1 point ago

He has such a crabby attitude

[–]Oheina 1 point2 points ago

I'm totally blaming global warming on Aquaman.

[–]iseetrolledpeople -2 points-1 points ago

Wait. So global warming is something real?

[–]shozy 1 point2 points ago

Yes of course, if you'd just look at the science iseetrolledpeople then you'd... hey wait a minute.

[–]banghcm 0 points1 point ago

conan?

[–]Jackamatack 0 points1 point ago

Repost, But I ain't even mad.

[–]BKDX 0 points1 point ago

"I don't want to be Aquaman he sucks!"

[–]Compumerk 0 points1 point ago

I had to lol at the title. This is a perfect example of a great title: Global Warming.

[–]Telebration 0 points1 point ago

Aquaman is just a global pool-pisser. That's the secret truth.

[–]marc24 0 points1 point ago

Makes sense to me.

[–]thedarkline 0 points1 point ago

I guess all the disrespect Aquaman gets has left him feeling a little burnt.

[–]salukis 0 points1 point ago

Go to mrlovenstein.com to find the missing bonus panel for this comic as well as many other hilarious comics. Removing credit for comics and reposting is shameful.

[–]5kToSelfDestruction 0 points1 point ago

Does superman have underwater powers or can he drown?

[–]VV01fy 0 points1 point ago

Global climate change is actually resulting in the acidification of world oceans, which would not make Aquaman very happy.

[–]originalusername2 0 points1 point ago

Why doesn't Superman just fucking use Wikipedia like the rest of us.

[–]TearTea 0 points1 point ago

Aquaman would still be worthless.

[–]erikcasey -1 points0 points ago

You got this aqua man!! Burn that oil, kill all the sea life.

[–]FredDorfman -1 points0 points ago

I like how the comic is entirely based on the false pretense that sea level has not only already meaningfully changed globally, but that "everything will be underwater."

[–]ItsAllrightImRussian 0 points1 point ago

Did you adjust your glasses and snort like a dork while typing that?

[–]fury420 -1 points0 points ago

While certainly not enough to cover "everything", there actually is enough ice present near the poles to raise global sea levels by several hundred feet. Now... nobody is suggesting a complete melt is possible, but just looking at historical sea level rises of a few inches doesn't tell the whole story when even something as seemingly insignificant as a 1% reduction in polar ice could work out to a global sea level rise of several feet.

[–]FredDorfman 0 points1 point ago

This is old, old climate change rhetoric. Virtually every model showing sea level rise now relies almost completely on the thermal expansion of water due to rising sea temperature.

There are several reasons for this. Total polar ice isn't budging. Summer extents in the north may be lower but they have been almost completely balanced by simultaneous growth in the antarctic. The other reason is that they finally figured out that only the ice pack over land can raise sea level, and that's almost 100% antarctic. The antarctic over land pack is much harder to melt. Ice at the north pole can't change sea level (put an ice cube in a glass of water, melt it, and watch the water level).

[–]fury420 0 points1 point ago

Virtually every model showing sea level rise now relies almost completely on the thermal expansion of water due to rising sea temperature.

I'm aware of this, hence why those models showing sea level rise are not predicting anywhere near the amount of sea level rise that over-land ice near the poles represents.

Total polar ice isn't budging.

I didn't say they were, I was just pointing out the massive volume of ice that remains locked away near the poles.

The other reason is that they finally figured out that only the ice pack over land can raise sea level, and that's almost 100% antarctic. The antarctic over land pack is much harder to melt. Ice at the north pole can't change sea level (put an ice cube in a glass of water, melt it, and watch the water level).

I wasn't referring solely to floating ice, obviously it's not going to have much if any direct impact on sea level rises. When I said Ice near the poles, I was referring to Greenland as well, with plenty of ice found over land. Likewise, I've seen evidence showing that over-land melting in the west antarctic could be greatly accelerated were the floating ice shelves to break up. I agree that we don't have any evidence showing a risk to east antarctic land-bound ice, but as I said, nobody's actually predicted this might happen yet. I was just trying to provide a sense of scale as to how much ice is locked away.

[–]Naggers123 -1 points0 points ago

Aquaman is a literal douche.

[–]ralphlizard -1 points0 points ago

I've noticed a strange trend where you can just read the bottom row of panels of webcomics and get the entire joke.

Sunken ship maybe?

[–]iNOTgoodATcomp 0 points1 point ago

Aquaman can control crabs and stuff. They could go get driftwood.
