Makes you realize just how well things are thought out in the US military. I guarantee there's inches of clearance there, but as I always say... clearance is clearance.

not sure if that is sarcasm or not... I think it just happened to fit once they took enough gear off, if it didnt fit you know they would have just used it as a reason to create a program for a Galaxy replacement which would have finally finished just in time for that helicopter to be retired, and not fit the helicopter model designed to take its place. ಠ_ಠ

edit and just so you know that one downvote you have is not mine, I wish there was a way to tell (at least for replying comments) that way there is no anger when random douches just downvote for no reason.

I've never seen a C-5 in person, but I did get to see an MH-53 at an airshow when I was younger, and that by itself was freaking huge...

This particular C-5A was is a 1969 model. Just think, it was designed well before that with just slide rulers.
