Nope. Nothing in the caption suggests that this idea is based in etymology, you're taking a cue for outrage from a comment. Anyone with half a brain would not try to draw an English meaning from a Greek word.

But history until recently WAS largely concerned only with men, and attempting to piece together more balanced accounts is a legitimate endeavor. Unlike the "HIS/HERstory" bullshit it's a fair point to make.
