I have a Siberian cat and my friend had a Norwegian Forest one,and from my experience I'd say this is a Siberian.They are,indeed,gorgeous :D

Maine Coon for the win! We have five, ranging from 1 year to 9 years old. They're not only beautiful, they're goofy, friendly, generally happy cats. They're also big, as you'll find out. I shovel more poop than Old McDonald.

Oh no question about it! We love them like crazy. Tell you what though, with five of them on the bed (three are males, and big boys), there are nights where I think I might just get a damn cat bed and sleep in the corner. :)

Ragdoll's typically don't have the ruff unless they've been cross bred. Additionally; a purebred ragdoll will typically retain blue eyes in to adulthood, and they are, in fact, one of the larger breeds of domestic cat, not very far behind the breed average for a Maine Coon.

I'm not certain the photographed cat is a purebred maine coon, it seems very "high silver" for the breed, but the eye coloration, ear wisps, sitting style, ruff, head shape and length/amount of whiskers are all very Maine Coon.

I had a cat in 2009 that was suffering from old age and I had to put her down, the colours and markings were identical to this cat and would have probably looked exactly like my cat when she was younger.

I cried when I saw this, and brought back great memories.
