I don't know why you're getting downvoted so much. Have people never trained dogs? FYI people, if your dog hasn't had enough to eat by the end of the training session, you feed them!

Shocking, I know.

Edit: at least that's what most people do. There are some fucked up folks out there who starve animals, but food-training your dog doesn't make you one of them.

They also have to sit in there for drinking water also. They tend to get ammonia regularly from water/food falling into there wind pipes, and have to sit in the chair for 30 minutes after eating or drinking or it will come straight back up

luckily megaesophagus is rare so most dogs & there owners dont have to go through it.

Its amazing how dogs can be in pain/suffering and there still happy just to be with you.

at the end Tommie (my dog) had lost around 10-15 kg and had no strenght left but would try to get up to see me.

You could also do a platform with an incline...Think something like a carpeted slide with a food bowl at the top (on a level spot) The dog lays on the incline and eats. You do have to train the dog to stay in that position for 10-20 minutes though...Maybe put it by the couch or a chair so it can lay there while you sit next to it. He will think its just chill out time after eating.

Your title reminded me of a scene in Pulp Fiction that I enjoy...It's when Mia says she has to powder her nose while out with Vince. She goes to the bathroom and does a bunch of blow exclaiming "I said god damn!", and then returning to the table she says "Don't you just love it when you come back from the bathroom and find your food waiting for you?"

As a server I try to work this line in whenever the situation happens (Most likely without the yayo), in hopes someone will give me a acknowledging nod.
