There were more people like this, but they got hit by trains. It's really a Catch-22.

[–]zeid96 5 points6 points ago

Why isn't the man inside the van getting out? Is the van worth more than his life.

[–]Todomanna 5 points6 points ago

Maybe putting it in neutral... Maybe holding on to the steering wheel so it doesn't turn too far... Maybe too busy trying to get the van started to notice that the train is coming... Maybe doing something off-screen and not actually in the van...

Without more context, we really just don't know.

[–]zeid96 1 point2 points ago

Yea probably, anyone have the news article for this?

[–]vertigo1083 0 points1 point ago

Since the van was never actually hit, I doubt it made the news.

[–]And_then_it_happend 0 points1 point ago

or maybe it broke down??

[–]Todomanna 0 points1 point ago

The man in the truck? Are you saying the man is a robot?

[–]Teahes 6 points7 points ago

More people to push vehicles out of the way before trains hit them, yes I agree.

[–]Decyde 2 points3 points ago

My brother did this once with a car that was stuck on the tracks. He pushed it out of the way with his car about 30 seconds before it would have gotten hit. The guy repaid him by calling the police and having him pay for the damages to the rear of his car. Needless to say that guy almost got the shit beat out of him on the side of the road that day.

-sighs- That is some major bullshit, right there. It's like the cases where people sue for injuries caused as a result of life-saving CPR...which is why you have to ask permission first. I applaud your brother's bravery, and I only hope douchebags like that don't keep him and others like him from continuing to help others.

My brother is trying to be a firefighter so he felt that he had to help regardless. A bull shit story he told me was a firefighter who saved someones life administered cpr and brought the guy back to life. That guy in turn repaid him by suing him for his medical bills and something retarded like a few hundred k. It's sick what people will do sometimes.

Guy is unconscious

"Hey bro, is it alright if I try CPR on you?"

Guy is still unconscious

"Welp, nothing I can do here."

[–]Cheshyre_Cat 0 points1 point ago

Okay, I did kinda lump general first aid into just CPR in my statement, my bad - but the fact of the matter is that people have still sued for broken ribs and such as a result of (normal) CPR administration, which is why the whole deal with getting permission (if possible) in life-saving scenarios like that came about in the first place.

Every time i watch this im nervous that he's gonna get hit, even though I know he isn't.

[–]tomcat23 1 point2 points ago

That's what a hero looks like.

[–]FriendlyEgoBooster 1 point2 points ago

The train's going pretty darn slow. Looks like they had more than enough time to figure this whole situation out.

[–]_odie 2 points3 points ago

why wouldn't he stay on the side he was on after he pushed it...

[–]thetateman 3 points4 points ago

It wasn't far enough over yet from what I can see

[–]AlphaHotel_94 0 points1 point ago

That guy must be pretty strong. How much do those vans weigh?

[–]iGotChubs4You 0 points1 point ago

Adrenaline can turn man into monster.

[–]gigdy 0 points1 point ago

His friend was afraid he was going to get blood on his bike.

[–]mikkeii 0 points1 point ago

It would have been safer if he ran around the van instead of all the way back.

[–]KWMJ 0 points1 point ago

Why can't people just let me commit suicide in peace!! Someone always comes along and pushes my van.

[–]the_shnozz 0 points1 point ago

Why didn't he stay on the side he was on instead of running across the tracks again?

[–]SOPA_NO 0 points1 point ago

He would've been on the other side faster than running around the van.

[–]thedaidai 0 points1 point ago

Damn; props Argentina.

[–]naebae -4 points-3 points ago

This happened in Italy.

[–]thedaidai 0 points1 point ago

No it didn't. TBA is an Argentine train company (Trenes de Buenos Aires) and Tigre is an Argentine Delta in the Buenos Aires province which draws lots of tourists.

[–]Junes2k 0 points1 point ago

Almost had one less of him.

[–]keehen117 -4 points-3 points ago

This is from that coke ad

[–][deleted] -4 points-3 points ago

We have enough idiots, thanks anyway.
