The best part of this? This occurred just a few years ago at a French gay pride parade(hence the rainbow lei around the boy's neck). The little boy's daddies are outside the frame. Some punks (who are probably pretty liberal, given the punk scene) came by to watch, and for a moment, two cultures clashed.

I really like this one. Cool to hear what was going on around the photo too.

This is my favorite image ever. It always makes me smile to see both of their expressions.

I just find depressing how "anarchists" (or punks or whatever) just wear another sort of uniforms.

I just like the way it looks. It sucks sometimes, when people look at the clothes people wear and think them to belong to a certain culture. I love clothes and the people wearing them, reguardless... But I do have an exeption, and that is men who wear belts and falling off your ass pants. Reason being is, why wear a belt if you're gonna let your pants fall down anyway.

It is hard to believe that someone with such a punk outfit does not want to tell the whole world that he/she belongs to a "certain culture."

Which is my second problem with the "rebel" kind: They are the one the most preoccupied by what society thinks of them.

I think everyone has that problem to a certain degree. I used to consider myself "punk" and just never really cared to dress that way. Shit was way to expensive. Not to mention some people take it a tad to far.

Maybe, but there is some logical inconsistency in expressing "fuck you normative society" through the adherence to a super-normative outfit and behavior.

Yes that is true, but it sucks as I had said earlier. I will try to give you an example of a person wearing a "uniform" but not conforming to it. My Sister is dating this guy who wears what one would see as something an afro american male would wear, but he is white and nerdy. My opinion is that people need to stop wearing their clothes as a shell of how they want to be represented. Chances are as sad as it is to say, people will judge away anyway.
