Looks more like RPG Avengers

[–]TalekAetem 403 points404 points ago

Or Guild Wars 2

[–]lightow 53 points54 points ago

It does indeed look like some of Kekai Kotaki's artwork.

That Black Widow even reminds me of Eir Stegalkin.

[–]cairneyouhearme 18 points19 points ago

Another of Eir Stegalkin. She's the only reason anyone needs to play through the Norn side.

[–]lightow 10 points11 points ago

Agreed, the Charr and Human starting zones interested me more than the Norn.

[–]troll_dude 35 points36 points ago

Hulk look a lil under powered, but Thor & Capt America is just WOW!!!

[–]rnb673 14 points15 points ago

I agree. Hulk should be a lot bigger, but otherwise these are great!!

[–]Randamba 21 points22 points ago

I don't like how Captain America's indestructible shield is chipped and cracked. It should have just had a coat of arms, since america didn't exist in medieval times, and some dirt.

Edit: I know the shield could have been designed like that prior to USA being a thing, I just believe the likelihood of it having that design rather than something related to the medieval country he was originating from is pretty low. Especially since the shield design isn't arbitrary in the comics, it is based on our flag. Therefore I believe that if he had been alive during a medieval time he would have been different. Like say King Arthur's time, he would have been Sir Camelot, and he would have a Kite Shield with Arthur Pendragon's coat of arms.

[–]Z0idberg_MD 47 points48 points ago

The symbol is a star. There were stars before America. I know, crazy.

[–]boomfarmer 1 point2 points ago

But were there circles? O-o

/s

[–]HypocriteOpportunist 7 points8 points ago

I think this is a better picture to show how closely Black Widow resembles Eir from Guild Wars 2.

A lot of the poses look very similar to Kekai's artwork. Great job.

[–]lexypher 1 point2 points ago

mmmm, female armor...

[–]_Wolfos 1 point2 points ago

They especially look a lot like these images: http://www.guildwars2.com/global/includes/images/wallpapers/GuildWars2_GuardianWallpaper01_1920x1200.jpg

Looking through the professions page, I think the creator of these was at least inspired by Guild Wars 2: http://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/professions/

Not a bad thing to be compared to imo ;)

[–]moxiedrinker82 33 points34 points ago

I thought Dragon Age: Origins (based off the concept art)

[–]mutecow 32 points33 points ago

head artist for gw2 use a pretty uncommon style thats similar to the OP's post. literally 90% of gw2 artwork uses that.

http://cdnimg.visualizeus.com/thumbs/be/f7/fantasy,guild,wars,concept,art,game-bef74fa7f8a0040002d4274d5b6666ac_h.jpg

the waterpainting feel, sf4 ish stylized background ink shadows, single color focused images etc are all pretty distinctive. even armor/cloaks design looks a lot like gw's prefered type.

[–]Scathainn 10 points11 points ago

His name is Kekai Kotaki and he's one of my favorite artists of recent years.

kekaiart.com

[–]silly_pineapple 1 point2 points ago

SAME HERE! His use of textured brushes is outstanding and very wispy. I love the static scenes he creates. He's definitely one of the more adventurous digital artists these days.

[–]Crashmo 1 point2 points ago

Kotaki has been my favorite game concept artist for a while now. Just amazing.

[–]GLORYTOCHAOS 2 points3 points ago

My first thought was this. I love the art style.

[–]exteras 1 point2 points ago

I love how that is so clearly what the original artist was trying to replicate, and you're the first person in this thread to realize it. Apparently the game just isn't that popular yet.

[–]Anthony0712 1 point2 points ago

Either way, amazing

[–]georgeguy101 0 points1 point ago

that was my first thought

[–]MAD623 7 points8 points ago

No, that was mine.

[–]Rangourthaman_ 1 point2 points ago

georgeguy101, what the fuck man?

[–]Kaddus 1 point2 points ago

They need more electrical powers

[–]Boozebeard 4 points5 points ago

It actually makes perfect sense. They are medieval super heroes, these are their medieval super costumes. They are closer to actual medieval attire than the actual avengers costumes are to anything we wear.

[–]EyeAmZ 1 point2 points ago

So....like.....medieval?

[–]Walterkovacs1985 26 points27 points ago

Iron Man looks siiiiick

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

Iron Lich King, imho.

[–]Zalamander 397 points398 points ago

You misspelled "Fantasy". Neat stuff though.

[–]Xodah 1 point2 points ago

Yeah I know this is the "fantasy" version because I saw Joss Whedon's documentary The Avengers.

[–]DrDragun -1 points0 points ago

I'm surprised people have a problem with this being called medieval. "Fantasy" can mean steampunk era or post-apocalyptic future in addition to the usual sword-and-sorcery. "RPG" which the other comment suggested could obviously be different time periods too.

You want to say a time period dominated by steel plate armor and swords. I think "medieval" is ok.

[–]DFGdanger 124 points125 points ago

"Medieval" implies a period of earth's history (nonfiction).

[–]2bananasforbreakfast 80 points81 points ago

You can make medieval style avenger characters, but this is not it.

[–]JaronK 2 points3 points ago

And in fact they did. Marvel 1602 had Nick Fury in it, for example, as well as Black Widow. But they looked historically reasonable.

[–]AdonisChrist 17 points18 points ago

considering that we're dealing with the avengers, though, if they existed in medieval times it's possible they would have some magical elements.

That said, the purple energy on Hawkeye is entirely misplaced because he's just good with a bow. Which supports to argument against labeling this as "medieval"

[–]ndchristie 6 points7 points ago

None of them are wearing anything remotely similar to what was common or even possible to craft in the medieval world. That makes it rather pure fantasy, I'd say.

"medieval" to me would probably have

  • Iron Man in full harness, milanese and probably highly ornate (inlaid, grisailled and lacquered) with a heavy, visored helmet and a large, roughly cut jewel over his heart, probably on a golden and similarly jeweled chain.

  • Bruce Banner depicted likely as a clerk or scribe, his monstrous form in contrast to the humble image he cut as a 'normal' man (i.e. no straps or skulls or any of that, but maybe a tattered tunic and hose).

  • Captain America mostly stripped, covered head to toe with woad dye and carrying a round celtic or viking shield - managing to appear archaic even in medieval times. Perhaps he was frozen after battling the Huns? (Or is that starting to get racist?)

  • Black Widow - veiled and in funeral garb, but lightweight and more for the purposes of hiding her movements than hindering them. Possibly some Gypsy influence throughout, but still decidedly black.

  • Hawkeye - a yeoman, something not unlike robin hood, but trading Lincoln Green for black, violet and blue checks - left over from his circus days, but also somewhat effective camouflage, particularly by moonlight.

  • Thor and Loki would just be...Thor and Loki. There are already countless medieval depictions of both to work from. Perhaps tending towards the more fanciful, but nonetheless working directly with the source material. The Hulk actually could probably have a certain amount of Jotun in his design, to note the particular antagonism.

  • Nick Fury - Othello with an eye patch. Done and done.

  • and um....wait, am i done? i guess i am, but it doesn't feel like it.

[–]AdonisChrist 2 points3 points ago

well your first line makes sense to me. I'll throw my support in with fantasy.

I'm still going to respond to your other points, though.

  • Iron man - His armor being somewhat more advanced than would be typical of the time would make sense given Tony Stark's character and/or the suit's relation to typical weapons/armor technology in its own timeline.

  • Yeah I don't like seeing the hulk clothed.

  • I can go for the archaicness of the Captain.

  • okay.

  • Hawkeye'll likely also have a custom bow and quiver, but of the sort that a cunning mind could devise with widely available tools/materials. and probably a skilled smith (for parts).

  • Yup.

  • Sure. he's boring anyways.

  • yeah, cool beans.

[–]rzeczownik 10 points11 points ago

This is why I LOL-ed when I saw Captain America. A glaringly humorous anachronism.

[–]A_Mouse_In_Da_House 50 points51 points ago

But medieval doesn't truly even mean steel plate. It's s time period roughly between 1000 and 1500 where most things were still Shitty.

That said. Fantasy Renaissance.

[–]The_Neon_Knight 21 points22 points ago

You're off by half a millenium. The middle ages encompassed the 5th (Roman Empire collapse) to the 15th centuries.

[–]ENKC 21 points22 points ago

You say that as though it's widely accepted, which it certainly isn't. Some would argue the medieval period began with Charlemagne, for example.

[–]Xardolan 18 points19 points ago

While you are right, the most commonly accepted notion actually is 500 to 1500, just because these are clear simplistic borders.

It's still highly debatable and artificial since... I mean... people don't happen to wake up and say "Oh my, this sure feels like the Middle Ages". And since it depends so highly on what factors you consider important e.g. political, cultural, religious [etc.] events, the most common denominator is 500 to 1500.

[–]toastymow 2 points3 points ago

I always considered everything between the Romans and Charlemagne to be the Dark Ages, but maybe I'm splitting hairs here.

[–]montrevux 1 point2 points ago

Historians don't like to use that name because it is fairly eurocentric.

[–]K-A-ScH 1 point2 points ago

I was of the opinion -coming out of my Middle Ages overview class- that the period started with the last century or so of the Roman Empire being meaningful in any way. So yea, around the 5th century.

[–]ENKC 1 point2 points ago

Some would argue that the period post the fall of the Rome was the dark ages and that the middle ages began some centuries after that.

The point is, there's no hard and fast definition.

[–]ProximaC 5 points6 points ago

Medieval Captain America?

America didn't exist.

[–]ew73 2 points3 points ago

Medieval Captain France, then.

[–]vagmastergeneral 47 points48 points ago

The Hulk's blood is green

[–]sage_of_majic 29 points30 points ago

not to mention that if bullets bounce off of him, he'd probably be able to shrug of a few arrows

[–]seblasto 1 point2 points ago

The hugest glaring error there. Bugs me so much, man.

[–]Dylanjosh[S] 146 points147 points ago

Credit to TheDurrrian. Most of his work has a similar style.

[–]elessarjd 9 points10 points ago

Dude, nevermind the naysayers criticizing the title and what not. This shit is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

[–]Dylanjosh[S] 3 points4 points ago

No problem!

[–]fawker 21 points22 points ago

Why didn't you just link the source material?

Never mind: karma

[–]OccamsCat 1 point2 points ago

I thought it was Igor Kieryluk's work. The man who worked on 1459 Batman.

I can't find links only to it. So I thought I should give you his whole gallery so you can find it yourself.

http://www.igorkieryluk.com/gallery/

[–][deleted] 63 points64 points ago

Isn't 1602 pretty much this?

[–]Srol 35 points36 points ago

It was better than this since it actually had a reason to exist beyond looking cool (and was written by Neil Gaiman).

[–]Idol_Luna 1 point2 points ago

What is this 1602? I'm a big fan of Neil Gaiman and would love to read this

[–]metao 14 points15 points ago

1602 was freakin' amazing and your comment needs all the upvotes.

I even loved the sequels, even though Gaiman didn't write them. I've never been an F4 fan, really, but I loved their story too.

[–]ErgonomicDouchebag 1 point2 points ago

I didn't know there were sequels. And I'm trying to save money at the moment. sigh

[–]blueavenger 80 points81 points ago

the lady's armor doesnt cover her chest. seems like it wouldnt be effective in preventing death

[–]Anghammarad 42 points43 points ago

[–]itsprobablytrue 16 points17 points ago

ah good ol' Samus, queen of the well armored chicks

[–]Honey_Baked 14 points15 points ago

Yeah...the armor for her tits is a bit off.

[–]furiouslysleepy 7 points8 points ago

Artwork has more bare skin than Scarlet Johansson did in the movie. Still, better than most female medieval fantasy "armor"...

[–]myheadasplode 3 points4 points ago

[–]crazy_dance 6 points7 points ago

Not to mention the proportions are completely weird, like the artist doesn't really know how to draw women. Look at where her breasts are and where her neck starts-- that's an awful lot of space between the two.

[–]ICouldEatAKnobAtNite 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, but it's only exposing the skin above her heart. It's not like that a vulnerable area or anything... :D

[–]funkyb 0 points1 point ago

That is a secondary concern to "amount of visible tit jiggle"

[–]GodfartherPart2 42 points43 points ago

Ohhhhhhhhhh. So that's why I can't be an artist.

[–]The_mexicant 9 points10 points ago

Kind of have a Spawn feel to them. Still sick as fuck... Nice!!!

[–]nokiab0mb 21 points22 points ago

This looks influenced by the new Guild Wars 2 art. Not saying it's a bad thing. This is made of all kinds of awesome :3

[–]FecalFace 3 points4 points ago

Yeah, I was going to say, these look like they could be Guild Wars 2 characters. I absolutely love the art style Guild Wars 2 has :D

[–]Nigel_Cat 15 points16 points ago

If you guys like this, you should check out Marvel 1602, it's a very interesting take on the marvel universe. Plus, it's written by Neil Gaiman!

[–]Olddirtychurro 1 point2 points ago

Came here to say this. Love that novel, especially how the x-men are done

[–]NiFrBa 6 points7 points ago

I thought Hulk's skin was impenetrable?

[–]ErgonomicDouchebag 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, arrows hurting the Hulk? The pictures are sweet, but that doesn't sit well with the fanboy in me.

[–]NinjaRobotPilot 1 point2 points ago

magic arrows? I'unno....

[–]khangy 7 points8 points ago

hulk looks so weak.

[–]jeanthine 233 points234 points ago

I'm not sure whether this needs to be said but THOR IS ALREADY MEDIEVAL, MAN. IT'S KIND OF HIS THING.

[–]McMaxwell 92 points93 points ago

He's not medieval, he's Norse mythology.

[–]bmkrepel 46 points47 points ago

If we agree that Medieval is a synonym for the Middle Ages, then the Norse Mythology of the Vikings are of the Medieval era. Middle Ages are 5th-15th Centuries, Viking Era are 8th-11th Centuries (early Middle Ages).

[–]Justavian 1 point2 points ago

8-11 out of 5-15 seems like middle middle ages, rather than early middle ages.

[–]Osiris32 2 points3 points ago

11th is starting to stretch it a bit. By that time they were beginning to convert to Christianity, and the Nordic "Viking" culture was starting to fade.

[–]Jackomo 4 points5 points ago

If you want to be pedantic, there wasn't really an America to be captained.

[–]Kwags27 38 points39 points ago

And Loki too

[–]whichgame 8 points9 points ago

Although he is of an advanced civilization, and wears high-tech armor. The artist made him look old school viking, which is kind of awesome.

[–]Nefaicus 9 points10 points ago

No he doesn't looks "old school viking". Vikings wore wool and/or simple armor, had no horns or thornes on their helmets and the didn't wore capes. The Thor in the comics is far from beeing "old school viking"!

[–]Granite-M 16 points17 points ago

Old school Vikings wore full plate?

[–]Nebulaoblivion 1 point2 points ago

No sir!

[–]EpitomeOfAnEnigma 1 point2 points ago

Glad someone said it, upvoted.

[–]BloederFuchs 2 points3 points ago

And I'm pretty sure nobody would know what this "America" is.

[–]CaptainDudeGuy 5 points6 points ago

Perhaps he's "Captain New World?"

[–]NiFrBa 5 points6 points ago

That's what I thought as soon as I saw it.

[–]draxpru38 5 points6 points ago

The hulk kind of reminds me of Gaben.

[–]Atnas 1 point2 points ago

The entire head is scarily spot-on, it almost makes me think they used him as reference.

[–]cjackc 1 point2 points ago

I had the same thought and had to come to the comments to Ctrl-f gabe to make sure that I wasn't the only one.

[–]soignees 27 points28 points ago

the anatomy is a bit off in some of these, and I'm not sure how they're medieval? Crap, tempted to draw historically accurate Avengers now...

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points ago

Yeah, I came here to say that the facial anatomy is REALLY off on any of the drawings with a face showing, and proportions are definitely severely out of whack (tiny heads, huge bodies, tiny hands). Color and stroke are interesting, but fundamentals are really lacking.

[–]gabrielsmama 1 point2 points ago

Oh, please do. Please?

[–]soignees 7 points8 points ago

LATE 14TH AND EARLY 15TH CENTURY AVENGERS, ASSEMBLE!

Captain America: would be from the Hohokam region, due to the technology and cultural impact they had at the time. I could make him knight of the dying Crusades since the symbology fits, but fuck you I want to draw Captain of the Old America.

Hawkeye: is English due to the excellent history of archery England has.

Iron Man: ...or Antonio Assoluto, a Venetian trader whose family specialised in glass making, and dabbles with early Renaissance like thinking and inventions. I am actually tempted to make him a Ming Dynasty lord/inventor due to the better technology that region had at the time. Gunpowder and explosions!

Thor: Is still a God, but dresses and mirrors medieval Scandinavian tradition, at odds with the Christianity that flourishes in his strongest place of worship

Loki: As above, but far far more in keeping to the lore of him then the version he is presented in both comic and film format.

Hulk: Is based on the myth and legend of a mixture of European beastmen, or wude-wāsa.

Black Widow: is an early Russian orthodox woman, loosely based on Sophia Palaiologina.

Nick Fury: Is a Moorish Saracen, a wanderer well travelled and used to war.

...no clue how the fuck these people are all meant to be in one place BUT I'LL THINK OF SOMETHING

[–]Samhein 1 point2 points ago

I believe what you are looking for is fantasy and the concept of suspense of belief.

[–]soignees 1 point2 points ago

yeah, I mean-- at a pinch Loki/Thor can discover this version of Captain America due to Vikings exploring America at that time and Nick Fury can discover the rest, but. I'll think I'll just draw them and smarter people then me good at piecing together puzzles can come up with a story why they're in one place.

...or ::waves hands:: a wizard did it.

[–]toastymow 1 point2 points ago

Please draw this!

[–]empireofnyy 14 points15 points ago

These are some awesome pictures. Captain America needs a new theme for medieval times, though.

[–]stroud 11 points12 points ago

captain's sigil, the star could have been a pentagram or something.

[–]GeorgeForemanGrillz 5 points6 points ago

Captain Templar

[–]matthiasreddit 3 points4 points ago

And a new name. Captain Andalusia? Captain Anatolia?

[–]campcastaway 6 points7 points ago

Capitan Amerigo

[–]matthiasreddit 1 point2 points ago

Duh. Nice.

[–]dacah 2 points3 points ago

Captain Albion.

[–]projectoffset 1 point2 points ago

I would love an alternate universe comic version of these.

[–]whiskeymancer 7 points8 points ago

It's called 1602, written by Neil Gaiman. It's amazing.

[–]PedroParamo 4 points5 points ago

[–]Hrash0 2 points3 points ago

This... isn't medieval.

[–]zeafy 9 points10 points ago

I made a 3840x1080 wallpaper for dual displays if anybody is interested.

edit: fixed to look better as wallpaper http://i.imgur.com/LeKFM.jpg

edit2: No disrespect meant to the artist, Capt. Americas nose was bugging me http://i.imgur.com/bLkP9.jpg

[–]Bi-la_kaifa 2 points3 points ago

Not bad, but the Hulk drawing was disappointing. There was a lot of potential to make Hulk look pretty badass, but instead they made him not at all impressive.

[–]sheepsix 2 points3 points ago

Thanks, I am a target archer and I'll likely be using the Hawkeye Image for an avatar now.

[–]juri 2 points3 points ago

Yes, it's important to note that these are fantasy avengers, not medieval avengers, as so many have. Because the comic/movie versions are pure realism, not fantastical at all.

[–]Finnishalzheimerskid 2 points3 points ago

That first one looks like an amazing skin for Malzahar in LoL

[–]Mick_Paulcartney 7 points8 points ago

Hammer

Shield

Bow

Suit of Armor

These guys were always medieval.

[–]Sirilius 4 points5 points ago

skyrim mod please

[–]Rollingprobablecause 3 points4 points ago

Man this looks like Icewind Dale/Baldurs Gate artwork. HAVE AN UPVOTE FOR AMERICA.

[–]somethinginane 1 point2 points ago

My thoughts as well.

[–]brrip 1 point2 points ago

came here to check if icewind dale had been mentioned. If this was a few years ago I'd have taken these for my portraits!

[–]LullabyGaming 10 points11 points ago

So Hulk can withstand heavy caliber machine guns but gets pierced by medieval arrows? Wonder why Loki didn't think of that.

[–]elessarjd 10 points11 points ago

Because it's another artist's rendition of how he perceives the characters you hypercritical nerd. For the record, it's all make believe.

[–]Razorray21 1 point2 points ago

lol, Thor is basically the same

[–]TheUsualChaos 1 point2 points ago

is it just me, or is Hawkeye's right arm on backwards?

[–]xangraves 1 point2 points ago

Holy crap, this is awesome! Are there any larger resolution images of these that we can use as wallpaper?

[–]dandello 1 point2 points ago

The Hulk representation is weak. Everything else is very cool.

[–]Depressed01 1 point2 points ago

Its all bad ass but the hulk looks a bit off

[–]sosuhme 1 point2 points ago

Very cool. A missed opportunity to turn Captain's shield into a tower shield though.

[–]petrasbut 1 point2 points ago

Exactly... also impeccable shield and ruined armor.

[–]Whompa 1 point2 points ago

Anatomy needs some work but overall those are pretty cool.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

Wow pretty awesome but why would Black Widow have her chest uncovered like that?

[–]PolloZerstiren 2 points3 points ago

Because tits

[–]maximus91 2 points3 points ago

because boobs

[–]DoctorSolar 1 point2 points ago

I was just thinking that! I was like oh hey chest window...what are you doing here making no sense?

[–]IplayTheGuitarBetter 1 point2 points ago

Hawkeye look AMAZING.

[–]Ishkatar 1 point2 points ago

but thor and loki are already medieval?

[–]WolfInTheField 1 point2 points ago

Would medieval Thor not just pretty much be Thor...?

Great art btw!

[–]Lozeng3r 1 point2 points ago

Amazing artwork, would love them as prints on my wall. Anyone got a source/artist or higher resolution pics?

[–]Lozeng3r 1 point2 points ago

Brilliant, they're in 3685x5000 too!

[–]SirPringles 1 point2 points ago

Reminds me a bit of Marvel 1602.

[–]dobbs507 1 point2 points ago

Emo haired Hulk is comedic.

[–]soupi77 1 point2 points ago

DEAR GOD CAN WE GET THE LAST PIC IN 1920X1080 PLEASE

[–]MorayCup 1 point2 points ago

Thats GW2 concept art edited...

[–]jaymill 1 point2 points ago

There was a similar star wars post recently, anyone still have the link?

[–]bleakwood 1 point2 points ago

Looking at these brilliantly rendered takes of the Avengers makes me both happy that there is such raw talent out there and sad that I will never have 1% of this person(s)' talent.

[–]mickyron 1 point2 points ago

Someone needs to make this movie! Failing that, sell me some prints!

[–]vicgolgo13 1 point2 points ago

I would watch and/or read the shit out of this. Someone get to work on this... STAT!

[–]Andoss 1 point2 points ago

THAT HAWK-EYE IS AMAZING

[–]Laura_Raptor 1 point2 points ago

Looks very similar to Guild Wars 2 art

[–]madman24k 2 points3 points ago

I was gonna say the same thing. Black Widow just looks too much like a Norn Theif. I actually thought they just copy pasta'd and then tried to redraw the face

[–]iamaravis 1 point2 points ago

So the Black Widow chose an outfit in which the only part of her body exposed is the area directly above her heart. That may be a poor choice of armor.

[–]Sullyismyname 1 point2 points ago

Dat Nightingale armor

[–]martykenny 1 point2 points ago

Hulk's blood is green. Just sayin'.

[–]ccrepitation 1 point2 points ago

the original pictures had a stamp of the artist and his website. shame on you for putting them up like marvel or you did this.

Hulk really should...appear more angry. It looks like he's acting out Shakespeare.

[–]ivegotagoldenticket 1 point2 points ago

Fake. The girl's back isn't facing us.

[–]endporn 1 point2 points ago

The heads are too small.

[–]mufasa1996 1 point2 points ago

Im thinking that this art is centered around Warhammer 40k styles.

[–]Beggenbe 1 point2 points ago

Why are the tits so poorly executed? They're like, lying on her stomach.

[–]Phoequinox 1 point2 points ago

I'm thinking "Historically Unspecified Avengers" is a more apt title.

[–]warmpita 1 point2 points ago

Guild Wars 2 Avengers.

[–]fauxman 1 point2 points ago

shouldn't Thor still look exactly the same?

[–]nukefudge 2 points3 points ago

huh. the hulk one isn't good. must've been a bit hard for the artist, working with him. probably should've gone for some sort of "huge knight"/armored ogre style instead...

[–]oteren 3 points4 points ago

Not to mention that it's quite dumb to have bleeding wounds with arrows sticking out of him, when he is resistant to a goddamned aeroplane minigun.

[–]XZlayeD 1 point2 points ago

however, Hulks counterpart (Bruce Banner) is a scientist, meaning the whole alchemist "feel" fits if you ask me.

[–]soyabstemio 1 point2 points ago

Ser Gregor?

[–]MeisterEder 3 points4 points ago

Unlike some others here I'm not going to point out, that this is not medieval, but instead congratulate you on your awesome skills.

[–]ThaSentinel 0 points1 point ago

Looks more like LOTR Avengers. Still sweet.

[–]ImAnEvilPanda[!] 1 point2 points ago

Would someone be able to put these together next to each other, so I can use them as a wallpaper? It's so damn cool.

[–]ValjeanLucPicard 1 point2 points ago

...where the Incredible Hulk is now played by Sylvester Stalone

[–]randomDCredditor 1 point2 points ago

[–]formula-42 1 point2 points ago

Hawkeye hadn't yet learned to pull correctly, apparently.

[–]UndeadInception 1 point2 points ago

If it's medieval, how is there a Captain America?

[–]materialghost 1 point2 points ago

The USA didn't exist in the medieval times, so Captain America should be an American Indian, just saying

[–]adenoid 2 points3 points ago

You should have paid more attention to your history books.

[–]SpacePontifex 0 points1 point ago

Is this for a new limited series? Info please is possible.

[–]gelroller 0 points1 point ago

Simply stunning!

[–]koimaster 0 points1 point ago

This was really amazing! I would love to see this become a movie on it's own!

[–]MealyDucard 0 points1 point ago

It would have been funny to see Thor and Loki as the movie characters.

[–]mitchstanton 0 points1 point ago

Need to try and make a group one of these.

[–]ewic 0 points1 point ago

Thor looks about right.

[–]awesomeck 0 points1 point ago

This one is actually pretty neat. Saved!

[–]birdablaze 0 points1 point ago

Iron Man reminds me of Voldo.

[–]marcdev 0 points1 point ago

Beautiful artwork from this guy! But the symmetry of the Hulk seems weird to me.

[–]jonteftw 0 points1 point ago

These are pretty amazing

[–]irishyank 0 points1 point ago

My face just melted.

[–]Ausrufepunkt 0 points1 point ago
