This funny went full circle for me in the past half hour, 45 minutes or so. bear with me:

So, I am at a conference table redditing on my company provided iPad...while a twenty something junior executive blathers on about something I am not involved in or could care less about. (Put it this way- the kid calls a meeting of say, eight to ten people who are working different projects, not one of which relates to the other...so other than your own piece of the pie, none of the meeting pertains to you.) I click on this. I get the joke. I fail to control my impulse to laugh. "What's funny?" He demands.

"Your Idea of time management. You have almost 700K worth of salary sitting around a table doing nothing when we could be out doing our job." Was the best I could come up with. "Two hour meetings where over an hour and three quarters do not pertain to any of the people in the room is not a good meeting to have every week." He reports me to his boss. Boss Emails me asking why I said what I said. I explained my thoughts, concluding that the weekly two hour ego boost for the twenty something with the fresh MBA was a waste of time and resources. I illustrated the point with this picture.

Ten minutes later, an E-mail goes out to all inflicted parties stating that the weekly "status meeting" is hereby cancelled indefinitely, being replaced by weekly reports sent to the young MBA via E-mail. Thank you reddit for saving countless hours of my life in the near future.
