As a Portlander (Oregon) who is originally from Pittsburgh, I have become the face of the Steelers to my friends and random strangers. Anytime some shit goes down I get questioned... Any time I see a fellow Steeler fan it's like being home and we get to bitch about everyone bitching at us for being so awesome!

Also, Seattle fans... They still have soar asses and I hear about it every season.

I'm living in Philly currently too (about 3 years now) and I've seen a lot of Steelers fans actually and usually no one says anything about the Steelers, being as they have 6 rings and the Eagles none. Now being a Penguins fan in Philly is a different story...

Same here, moved from Pitt for school, stayed bc of a job. Huge Pens/Steelers/Pirates fan and get constantly harassed. Proudest Moment: Survived holding a Pens flag on Broad Street.

haha, yup. I'm also a Pens fan, so I get a TON of shit for that. My dad's also a Flyers fan, so Hockey season is fun in our house.

Well I'm not from Philly myself. I am originally from Pittsburgh, but moved out here to go to grad school and because I got a job out here. But I understand what you mean. Most of the people that give me hell for being a Steelers fan don't even bother to find out that I'm from Pittsburgh. I guess most of them just assume that I am a bandwagon fan, which pisses me off because I hate bandwagon fans myself. But usually when they find out that I am from Pittsburgh people tend to be a little more forgiving about which team I like the most.

I live outside of Baltimore right on the PA line. So there are lots of Ravens, Skins, Eagles, and Steelers fans and it's never a problem repping your team. I went to the Ravens/Steelers SNF game two seasons ago (Dixon threw the int in OT smh) wearing full Pittsburgh gear and wasn't heckled at all. The worst thing I encountered was an old woman sitting in front of me who kept claiming the Steelers "cheat" every season.
