What he did there is called an Ender, if he had stroked when he hit the water to rotate and land upright it would have been an Ender followed by a Pirouette.

It's far more impressive when done using a wave instead of a drop.

We did this in my whitewater kayaking class. Instructor tossed us off an elevated deck, we predictably capsize and and have to perform an eskimo roll. Much easier to do when you tip yourself over and you can control which direction you flip. Tossing us off the deck gave us more realistic and practical practice.

I've seen this in person, worked at a pool and we rented it to some kayakers after hours. Same result, but it popped back up and landed on the pool deck upside down, funny but horrifying at the same time!
