Jus' sayin' Hobbes is a pretty good guy, there would be a thumbs up and a grin.

[–]LexSenthur 423 points424 points ago

Hobbes was all about the Smooches!

[–]RJM10_2 192 points193 points ago

I saw it as Hobbes being pissed off Calvin hasn't mentioned a threesome yet

[–]hebejeebee 95 points96 points ago

Because he loved Susie.

[–]AscentofDissent 67 points68 points ago

He had dibs on Derkins, Calvin is a scumbag!

[–]WutsUp 2 points3 points ago

HE BETRAYED G.R.O.S.S.

[–]TheScrumpster 24 points25 points ago

Thats what Hobbes gets for attacking Calvin everyday after school.

[–]SonVolt 24 points25 points ago

Hobbes is jealous. He accepted smooches from Susie long before Calvin would.

[–]thisiswhat 49 points50 points ago

He's mad because it's Susie Derkins.

[–]Menospan 10 points11 points ago

Girls flip for guys in jams.

[–]bucherm 22 points23 points ago

No ruin to see here, only enhancement.

[–]Stuball1992 128 points129 points ago

I'm so happy to have found your link wasn't actually this...

[–]actionb0b 62 points63 points ago

Screw you man

[–]HCLcoasters 16 points17 points ago

Where's the other half of this comic when you need it!!!!

[–]Stuball1992 58 points59 points ago

Alright, alright. Here's the greatest possible remedy to that image... I need to fix each of the childhoods that I've broken here today.

[–]MChainsaw 9 points10 points ago

"Page not found" NOOOOO!!

[–]Stuball1992 24 points25 points ago

Don't worry man. I've got ya covered. Stay with me here!

[–]MChainsaw 2 points3 points ago

Thanks! And that's nice.

[–]Misty_Mountains 2 points3 points ago

This was always one of my favorites. :)

[–]xelested 3 points4 points ago

This is the last C&H, correct?

[–]flaim 1 point2 points ago

Yep, google says you are correct.

[–]Deddan 19 points20 points ago

And yet you inflict it on us anyway :(

[–]theapeboy 20 points21 points ago

Not gonna lie, had a breakdown the first time I saw this.

Also, downvote for making me see it again.

[–]PorkchopDerp 2 points3 points ago

Wow, that made me sad. Excuse me while I go try to recuperate my feels.

[–]geyserguy92 1 point2 points ago

Fuck you! Fuck you and the horse you rode in on!!

I'm sorry, that comic is so damn sad though.

[–]parlezmoose 1 point2 points ago

I want to see a version where Calvin takes shrooms and Hobbes turns into the Luck Dragon.

[–]Duramax159 1 point2 points ago

Seems like the day just got a bit darker.. :(

[–]biosaint 1 point2 points ago

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! What is this?

[–]geyserguy92 4 points5 points ago

It's fake. Didn't really happen that way. Thank god. I would die if Calvin and Hobbes went out that way.

[–]biosaint 1 point2 points ago

Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!

[–]iGotChubs4You 1 point2 points ago

You must not be a fan as it is well know that this is the final comic.

[–]biosaint 1 point2 points ago

I followed it back when I was a little kid... This ending is much, much better

[–]Ihmhi 50 points51 points ago

Ah, panel #3... the look in Calvin's Eyes takes us all back to our first time.

"OH SHIT THIS IS AWESOME DUDE THAT'S HER BRA SHITSHITSHIT FUCK YESSSSSSSSSSSS"

[–]Ogow 16 points17 points ago

I do like how Calvin got her pants off before shirt though.

[–]SureSignOfAGoodRhyme 14 points15 points ago

I blew my first chance for action. She was playing with the bottom edge of her shirt and asked if I wanted to swap gum with her. I said "So you are going to take my gum and I'll take yours? That sounds kinda gross" She looked disappointed and turned off. And then she tells me we wouldn't have actually swapped gum. Alternatively, my first action would have started with me trying to shove my gum in her mouth.

[–]shutup_shinji 1 point2 points ago

Doesn't matter; Had se- oh, that's a shame

[–]YvesSch 3 points4 points ago

Haha, I have a pretty good story about how my first shot was ruined!

Anyways, during my high school years, our family lived in the boonies of Indiana. To give you an idea of the size of the town, my junior class was 34. Everyone who lived within 25 miles went to this school, so options were pretty low. The number of nerds like me were few and far between. My social group was quite small, as pretty much more than half of the class were just stoners and bible thumpers and shit. There were never any girls around who I cared about as most of them were the slutty type.

Anyways, due to my father's career, he never stays in one place for more than a few years. The summer before my senior year, we moved back to the more populated area we had lived in when I was in junior high. Since it had only been three years, I still recognized all of my old friends and was quickly able to fit myself back in to some form of a social group. A large amount of my friends were in my AP physics class that year with me and some of them liked to make "study groups". I usually don't like them as they aren't usually as productive as studying on my own, but I decided to join them one evening. It was a friday night and the session started around 5:00 pm. The first hour was actually a good solid hour of on topic discusison and helping each other understand concepts. But at 6:00, someone had ordered chinese and they left to go pick it up. Once he arrived back with the food, the session dissolved into just a social gathering. What's better than a bunch of cool smart people sitting around a supper of chinese, right?

Anyways, there was this girl who was there that I never really knew very well. Like me, she didn't really do a lot of talking and wasn't as involved in the discussions as everyone else. Nonetheless, I thought she was sort of cute, even just sitting there minding her nerdy self. After everyone was done eating, we had slowly ended up next to each other, and I thought maybe it would be worth trying to converse with her. She looked about ready to leave, and something clicked inside me to make a point that I was there. I noticed she was wearing a shirt with some witty saying on it (wish I remembered what exactly), and so I complimented her on it. She then went on to tell a story of where she got it. After a few minutes, we had actually been carrying out a conversation. But once 7:30 came around, we had dried ourselves of interesting topics. We probably sat there mostly in silence for a half an hour, a few words here and there, before she was about to leave again. I decided to ask her if she wanted to go out sometime (nothing to suggestive, but I sort of had a thing for her now), and to my delight she excitedly told me that sounded fun. I suddenly realized it was only about 8:00, so I asked her if she would like to leave and go bowling right then and there. She complied, and I brought her to a nearby bowling lane (she was one of those who didn't have her license yet, even at 18 years, so I brought her instead of her parents coming to pick her up).

Smart phones weren't really the common thing then and, without a phonebook in my car, just decided to drive around until we found lanes with open bowl. We had to drive to about three places before finally arriving at one with open bowl. We both bowled terrible games, but nonetheless, we both enjoyed ourselves and chatted up a storm (I was surprised that she was so chatty with me, I never see her converse with people during school, and if she did, it was only a few words, or "yes" or "no" responses).

By 9:30, we had only bowled one game, and her parents wanted her home by ten, so I decided it was time to call it quits for the night (she isn't an only child, so her parents aren't too overly protective, hence why they didn't freak out about her going bowling with me--a guy they don't know). She seemed interested enough by this time, so I decided to ask if she wanted to hang out at all. So she complied and so we did.

A few weekends later, both of my parents were gone to visit some friends over the next several days, leaving me home alone. She came over that evening for a while, and it occurred to me that she could be the first shot at any action (keep in mind both of us having less social of a nature, and I had never had any interest in anyone at my old school in the boonies). When she came over, I didn't get my hopes up too much, because I assumed she would probably be nervous to do anything with me, plus I don't want to be to assertive and intimidate her. Nonetheless, after about 30 minutes of just sitting around on a couch and chatting, we had gotten pretty close and flirty. Suddenly she jumps on me--I mean she jumps on me and pushes me down onto the couch, embracing me. Not only that, but I found her to be an amazing kisser (not that I had any prior experience to judge on). It was pretty awesome. Even at that point, things escalate quickly (no longer does she show any hint of her nervous, heldback nature). At some point she pulls of her shirt, fast, too. Jesus in Hell, did she have a good figure. How the hell did I, nor anyone else never notice this? I assume it is because the t-shirts she wears are usually pretty droopy on her, but I don't know, she had quite the body. Anyways, as things escalated, I begin to slide by hand down her pants, but something is wrong. Her skin feels really slimy and scaly down there. I notice that my shirt is all wet. I open my eyes and look up and discover that she is a big ass cryptid from the north of Scottland. At that moment, when her identity had been revealed, she goes to eat out the entire refrigerator, goes out the door and enters the nearest sewer she can find.

Can't believe how close I was, and this happens.

Edit: Read this over 12 days later. Just came to say I am a bad writer.

[–]hafton 4 points5 points ago

Solid effort. 8/10

[–]TehMWF 1 point2 points ago

Were you going for a 4chan "Everybody Walk the Dinosaur"-style story? That's exactly what this feels like.

[–]Ihmhi 1 point2 points ago

10/10 would read again.

[–]Hermwad101 96 points97 points ago

This actually makes me kind of sad. I can't help but think of Hobbes feeling left behind by his best friend who is growing up. I don't mean to be downer but.. damn. Then again I was always one of those kids who believed if I gave one stuffed animal too much attention, the others would feel left out. Haha

[–]moarbutterythantoast 47 points48 points ago

You better stay away from the Toy Story trilogy then

[–]XS4Me 15 points16 points ago

[–]Hermwad101 4 points5 points ago

D'awww! That's adorable! I really do feel better now. Thanks! :)

[–]Mouse_Steelbacon 40 points41 points ago

This makes me sad because it kinda ruins why I love Calvin & Hobbes. Calvin was always my hero for having great times in spite of being the weird kid that no one really understood or wanted around. All it took was a bit of imagination. And here he is, all grown and not lonely at all anymore, actually getting busy with a girl. I never got to start the "real life" when I grew up, and seeing Calvin do it makes me very sad.

[–]midnightlover 46 points47 points ago

Don't you worry, Calvin will at least be able to pass it on.

[–]justgrant2009[S] 11 points12 points ago

Wow! I love this picture! Definitely a Toy Story 3 kind of perspective, but I like it! The emotions it evokes are good too.

[–]tarekd19 4 points5 points ago

still rocking the stripes

[–]blowupthemoon 6 points7 points ago

Is he reading Leviathan? That's a great touch.

[–]vecnyj 3 points4 points ago

I've got good news for you, this isn't Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin never grows up.

[–]bobthecookie 2 points3 points ago

Ever

[–]Insignificant_Being 2 points3 points ago

I know. I can never look at Calvin & Hobbes the same anymore..

[–]fish500 19 points20 points ago

This one always makes me sad.

[–]aSpanishGoat 16 points17 points ago

Whenever I look at that one I have to make sure and finish with this one. http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/9558/calvin0dg6ec9wu4ew.jpg

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points ago

:) I do miss reading new comics from them. The Complete Calvin and Hobbes is pretty great for remedying that though.

[–]HvOnskerDu 0 points1 point ago

I almost cried! But it made me chuckle thinking the fact that he can see Hobbes could be a schizophrenic thing, well okay I guess it was a morbid chuckle then.

[–]dvddesign 2 points3 points ago

PUT THAT AWAY IT HURTS!

[–]purplestofthepurples 6 points7 points ago

Ow, my childhood

[–]Ninjasantaclause 33 points34 points ago

for gods sake this comic should always be parred with that comic

[–]hastalapasta666 6 points7 points ago

THANK YOU

My childhood has been salvaged

[–]YvesSch 1 point2 points ago

Not Calvin and Hobbes, but this one was the first of its kind that made me sad in that way.

[–]Toasty117 1 point2 points ago

You should read up on Bacon and Hobbes then, it'll cheer you right up.

[–]Qbeck 1 point2 points ago

you should go see ted. you just described the plot.

[–]ineffablepwnage 1 point2 points ago

I got your back

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Edit: oops, other people beat me to it.

[–]br0kenr3crd 58 points59 points ago

And Hobbes thought that Susie always had the hots for him.

[–]Insignificant_Being 8 points9 points ago

Susie thought he was "cute". That was about it..

[–]r_k_ologist 27 points28 points ago

Friendzoned.

[–]iggzy 17 points18 points ago

She aged well

[–]kavorka2 14 points15 points ago

Not gonna lie, I might fap to this tonight

[–]kevinwoodward 17 points18 points ago

...

[–]beef_bistro 4 points5 points ago

Like fine cheddar

[–]cherish_it 78 points79 points ago

I like how Calvin and Susie eventually end up doing each other. It's probably really angry sex too

[–]SpacemanSpiff56 87 points88 points ago

THIS IS FOR ALL THOSE FUCKING SNOWBALLS YOU DICK

In all seriousness, every time I see a comic of Calvin's hypothetical future I feel like a part of my soul dies. It's cute, and it'd be awesome if Calvin and Susie ended up banging, but... it feels so wrong.

[–]temp42704 21 points22 points ago

So she snowballed him in retaliation for snowballing her when she was younger?

[–]adrian246 5 points6 points ago

37 in a row?

[–]DungeonHunter 5 points6 points ago

I'M 37!?!?!

[–]nekowolf 2 points3 points ago

I'm not old!

[–]thatwasntveryraven 37 points38 points ago

If banging Susie Derkins is wrong, I don't want to be right.

[–]hateboss 12 points13 points ago

I agree with you Calvin and Hobbes has always been a very contained universe to me. I don't want closure. Watterson is someone who is super protective of his creations. He doesn't whore them out and he has crafted them into who they are. I don't need or want reimaginations of what went on after the strip ended. It's beautiful just the way it is.

[–]toy205 6 points7 points ago

Opposites attract...

[–]FatCat433 8 points9 points ago

Tell that to that girl I have nothing in common with who keeps rejecting me.

Everything is better with Bacon:

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

EDIT: Apparently I managed to kill their bandwidth limit by linking to these strips. They are available here, though:

http://www.npr.org/blogs/krulwich/2012/02/15/146939479/calvin-and-hobbes-add-the-bacon

[–]freshayars 63 points64 points ago

This comic shall now be titled, "Makin Bacon"

[–]40_lb 15 points16 points ago

:-) My first thought after #4 was that Hobbes probably renamed it "Hobbes Ball"

[–]theBadgerJew 4 points5 points ago

I tear up every time. Calvin and Hobbes comics got me through many a day as a kid.

[–]Noble_Gas 11 points12 points ago

This makes me sad.

I am sad in a good way for one to be sad.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points ago

You killed their website, it no longer loads!

[–]IamSparticles 2 points3 points ago

Doh! Sorry about that. I think the web comic was discontinued so they probably have limited bandwidth. Luckily, those particular strips are mirrored all over the place. Try these NPR blog posts:

sniff I can keep myself together man, just gotta bursts into tears So. Fucking. PINGHAS!

[–]dancesformoney 4 points5 points ago

Thanks for posting those!!

[–]geyserguy92 1 point2 points ago

Shut up! I'm not crying!

[–]drovin 14 points15 points ago

I don't know man... I felt really Sanduskyish seeing Suzie's cartoonish underwear.

[–]HvOnskerDu 1 point2 points ago

[–]Ihmhi 3 points4 points ago

I only read the first two comics so far, but that looks really good. Thanks!

[–]BetaRhoOmega 2 points3 points ago

Just read the first 20 or so comics. This is brilliant. It reads just like old calvin and hobbes.

[–]gingerninja1 1 point2 points ago

Read up to comic 130, and still going strong. Thank you so much for linking this :)

[–]HotwaxNinjaPanther 16 points17 points ago

Why are y'all upvoting this shit? It cheapens the legacy, and Watterson wouldn't appreciate it.

[–]360walkaway 2 points3 points ago

I guess this means no more G.R.O.S.S. club.

[–]samuraisanity 2 points3 points ago

I imagine Calvin having a homemade spaceman spiff costume for roleplay

[–]AxeManActual 2 points3 points ago

That was very depressing. I would imagine a happy Hobbes.

[–]Smilesme 2 points3 points ago

MY CHILDHOOD, IT BURNS

[–]GISlikeaboss 2 points3 points ago

Kind of disturbing that the girl Calvin is with looks a lot like his mom.

HAPPY CAKE DAY

this isnt funny, it's an insult.

[–]DivineAna 4 points5 points ago

I tend to auto-downvote things that violate Bill Watterson's explicit wish that people leave his characters the fuck alone...

[–]scartol 8 points9 points ago

Yeah, amen. Quit trying to leech off Mr. Watterson's amazing work by pretending like this is more clever than Calvin pissing on a Chevrolet logo.

[–]redditacct 2 points3 points ago

Not much made me more mad when I lived in the Haight than seeing some smug Dead Head wearing a dancing Calvin and Hobbes tshirt. Made me want to create a boy band and have them copy a bunch of Dead songs making millions and then say "See, how do you like it?"

[–]AJarofTomatoes 1 point2 points ago

Hobbes would be permanently scarred for life...

[–]Spibbly 1 point2 points ago

gooby pls

[–]agoogaly 1 point2 points ago

[–]ACharmlessMan 1 point2 points ago

This is essentially the plot for Seth MacFarlane's new film.

[–]yoyoyodaboy 1 point2 points ago

Calvin's blue eyes are bothering me. Black ovals, please!

[–]titirimiau 1 point2 points ago

I find this rather sad. : (

[–]_Shin_ 1 point2 points ago

This made me kind of sad =/

[–]Gary_the_Goatfucker 1 point2 points ago

My gf and I used to "hate" each other - in the sort of way Calvin hated Suzie - but it all turned out better than I could have dreamed! The fighting between Calvin and Suzie was completely normal and even that type of "hostile" interaction can still form indestructible friendships later on. I always though the two of them would come together eventually.

[–]ConfusedGrasshopper 1 point2 points ago

This is more 'baww' than funny tbh

[–]thepineapplearmy 1 point2 points ago

[–]QuillJS 1 point2 points ago

I don't know why, but this hits right at home.

[–]reddKidney 1 point2 points ago

not at all in the spirit or style of calvin and hobbes. 0/10

[–]iGotChubs4You 1 point2 points ago

Sorry, but I fucking hate this shit. Leave Calvin and Hobbes to Watterson.

[–]silent_p 1 point2 points ago

Calvin, no! That is not the way to get rid of slimy girls!

[–]lonemonk 1 point2 points ago

Susie grew up to look like Calvin's Mom; How Oedipal and naughty.

[–]captainbigglesworth 1 point2 points ago

Hobbes was always into the ladies. I feel like his reaction is out of character.

[–]shanedoth 2 points3 points ago

There was a scene in Wilfred like this. Actually, now that I think about it, Wilfred is a lot like Calvin and Hobbes facing adulthood.

[–]fozzyfreakingbear 3 points4 points ago

I swear, if this gets spoof pornoed, I'm going to be pissed.

[–]Blamemeta 1 point2 points ago

rule 34

[–]pregnantbaby 1 point2 points ago

FUCK CALVIN AND HOBBES FAN ART! worst god damn thing i've ever seen on the entire god damn internet. no hyperbole.

[–]FlappyTheNarwhal 1 point2 points ago

This makes me sad :(

[–]Jeev3s 1 point2 points ago

Right in the childhood.

[–]FlashFreeze 0 points1 point ago

Have we really reached the end of the Internet that this god damn link keeps getting reposted every month?

[–]pudding13 3 points4 points ago

I've yet to see this. After 3 months on reddit.

[–]kewlsnake 0 points1 point ago

Prefered the darker more psychotic version of this haha

[–]tadowguy 0 points1 point ago

Calvin is easily over 30 now.

[–]saysjust_stop 0 points1 point ago

That was totally Susie Derkins

[–]noknownallergies 0 points1 point ago

Calvin was such a bad kid, there is NO WAY his parents would leave him home alone for the weekend. I call shenanigans!

[–]scumbagscotti 0 points1 point ago

I thought Susie hated Calvin?

[–]coalitionofilling 0 points1 point ago

Lol at Calvin tagging Susie. Being mean and getting her attention all those years paid off.

[–]MrFlagg 0 points1 point ago

why is she wearing granny panties?

[–]Rubsgrubs 0 points1 point ago

I think he would want to join in......

[–]Probably_on_Reddit 0 points1 point ago

I imagine this scenario in a Toy Story movie would be entertaining

[–]slapmesilly69 0 points1 point ago

Damn. I want to see more!

[–]JasonUncensored 0 points1 point ago

I'm not gonna lie, this comic make me feel strange. Not aroused, jeez, but... nostalgic, maybe? I honestly can't tell.

[–]Agent_Smith_24 0 points1 point ago

Hobbes is just jealous, he wanted that
