I wish this joke would turn into a real thing... like atheist pretending to believe in his Holy Noodleyness and his Holy Son, Raptor Jesus... like it was some big internet-joke-religion that everyone perpetuated...

Christian, "Well God says... blah blah" Me (with a straight face), "Well his Holy Noodleyness said once... blah blah"

Then they'd get all offended, and I'd get even more offended and be like, "Look it up online! This is my religion, my beliefs! How can you be so intolerant! Raptor Jesus spoke the truth! You must accept him and his Holy Noodleyness into your heart to be saved!"

Very funny and great artwork. One thing I would point out is that it is actually a parody of the Icon of the Theotokos (Virgin Mary) presenting Christ. This icon is typically used to embody the virtues of spiritual peace, obedience, devotion and sacrifice (Theotokos) as well as hope, healing, humility, self-sacrifice and enlightenment (the child Christ figure). So, to the audience that will recognize it will see it as the values being parodied much more than anything to do with their religious faith.

Also, stylizing the artwork as an icon probably wont offend any evangelical "born again" christians as they wont recognize it as a religious icon and most are long time iconoclasts anyway. But Orthodox Christians will recognize it immediately as it is a parody of one of their most revered icons demonstrating some of their most cherished values.
