So does this ban mean as a parent if I want my son circumcised and im not part of religion it is still allowed?

[–]Trundles 1 point2 points ago

As far as I'm aware you may only circumcise your son as a child for medical reasons. If he wants to be circumcised when he is old enough to decide, he may have the procedure done as an adult.

Makes sense. Honestly, if I have a son ill have him circumcised, not for any religious reason, but just because its easier and cleaner to potty train them. And my friends toddler would walk around stretching his foreskin and marching around her house.... I think thats the main reason...

As an uncircumcised man, it isn't that hard to clean your dick. Pull back, rinse, release, go on your merry way.

Besides the foreskin isn't even supposed to open up before 5 to 12 years of age. For me it was nine. It doesn't get dirty or anything, it's just fused to the glans.

Piss is actually sterile, so each time you piss, you're rinsing it out.

And my friends toddler would walk around stretching his foreskin and marching around her house.... I think thats the main reason...

That is fucking awesome.

Yeah he would literally whip it out over his undies, stretch it up and march around like hes leading a band. Thats why I want a son, because bringing up these stories to future girlfriends/boyfriends would be epic.

That's hilarious

well while there is your side of te argument, but there is also my side. i was circumcised because i was constantly getting infections. its very normal and doest have any detrimental effects on kids

[–]GreatGreen286 1 point2 points ago

Ah but the ban was covering religous reasons Not medical ones

[–]RavageJ[S] 0 points1 point ago

And medical reasons should always be covered! The argument is having it done when it isn't needed. We might as well take out the Appendix and Tonsils too because they may, one day, become infected.
