So cute! They look like little puppy piano keys

[–]ozpunk 169 points170 points ago

Ebony and ivory, eat together in perfect harmony...

[–]AverageWang 20 points21 points ago

life's an Eskimo pie, lets take a bite

[–]stobmanjones 52 points53 points ago

A guy once told me "faces are Eskimo pies, let's take a bite". He's dead now, police shot him in Florida....

[–]Lost_Online 17 points18 points ago

A horrible joke about a horrible recent event, but I still laughed, so I'm going to hell.

[–]stobmanjones 1 point2 points ago

I don't see how that's a horrible joke, I was serious. I work at Bed, Bath and Beyond and he would come in everyone in awhile to buy bath salts. He was a loyal costumer who enjoyed his scented baths...

[–]eshinn 1 point2 points ago

Damn you both for the comical satisfaction I've received without my consent.

[–]Noxwood 7 points8 points ago

om nom nom food's coming in a flood

gross ew ew why so much blood

[–]endlegion 1 point2 points ago

I am black and you are whiiiiiitttee!

[–]TntMan9000 10 points11 points ago

Would they make different sounding noises if you stepped on them? (Accidentally of course).

[–]joelupi 162 points163 points ago

Aww look at the little ones that can't stand up.

[–]katydid15 79 points80 points ago

When we got my dog as a puppy (probably 10-12 weeks old), we would feed her on the slippery kitchen floor. Especially her first night when she was nervous and shaking from missing her mom, she could hardly stand up straight, her back legs would slowly slide out from under her. It was pretty cute.

[–]Kalashnikov74 306 points307 points ago

That actually sounds really sad.

[–]steviesteveo12 105 points106 points ago

Totally, that's like the saddest thing ever. It's a puppy shaking in fear, missing its mum and sliding about on unsteady legs because it's so young.

[–]Aithyne 24 points25 points ago

At 10-12 weeks, the puppy was probably weaned for a little bit beforehand.

[–]katydid15 17 points18 points ago

Okay yes, it was sad, I think at that point I just overwhelmed with her cuteness (my family's first dog, so I hadnt been around many puppies. But now looking back i felt bad for her. She may have been slightly older, I can't remember for sure.

[–]Vartib 53 points54 points ago

)

Looks like you ran out. Use mine, I have a spare.

[–]katydid15 15 points16 points ago

How kind of you!

[–]x3tripleace3x 8 points9 points ago

I can definitely understand what you mean - She was extremely cute, but at the same time there was a conflicting sadness, but the cuteness overwhelmed it. In hindsight you think it's sad because the sadness now overtakes the cuteness, as cuteness is much less powerful of an emotion when looking back at it, while the sadness is a somewhat more preserved emotion, and can be more easily looked back upon.

[–]katydid15 4 points5 points ago

Precisely. And I was kind of in shock, my mom gave no hints as to the fact that she had gone to get us a puppy. She is loved very much!

[–]tinynf89 1 point2 points ago

This is where I have troubles understanding women.

[–]horseflaps 8 points9 points ago

My dog (black lab) is 2 years old & hasn't been able to walk on tile or climb stairs ever. Outdoor steps, no problem, indoor, no way. He slides all over our tile floor & refuses to walk across without carpet. Poor fella :(

[–]Slagathor91 72 points73 points ago

The one on the right is clearly the brains of the family.

[–]darkkite23 3 points4 points ago

He can stand and chew food!

[–]walking_away_ 47 points48 points ago

I am happy we aren't letting my dogs have puppies. I would never be able to let them go. I would be the crazy dog lady with 30 puppies running around at all times.

[–]Stalked_Like_Corn 13 points14 points ago

I'm glad my dog is fixed too. She's mix jack Russel and Shiz Tsu but she mostly looks like a Jack Russel and there's NO way I could give up little baby Jack's and there's NO way i could keep up with more then just 1.

[–]walking_away_ 13 points14 points ago

Both my dogs are Maltese. When they were pups, they looked like little polar bear cubs. I could never give those up.

[–]Stalked_Like_Corn 3 points4 points ago

Yeah, no way I could give those away either =)

[–]walking_away_ 5 points6 points ago

Nice username, BTW. =)

[–]Stalked_Like_Corn 2 points3 points ago

Thank you =). It's a bit nonsensical to most but it's fairly funny to me and the g/f and to those who can enjoy an odd sense of humor.

[–]soupz 8 points9 points ago

If you had more than one they would probably be less work because they entertain each other. A friend has 6 dogs, two of them jacks. She never has to do more than let them in the garden. However, they'll always care more about each other than you.

[–]Stalked_Like_Corn 5 points6 points ago

I've debated getting another puppy just for this reason, NOT another Jack but just another puppy. It's something that will have to wait a few months but, debating it. My Jack is still very skittish around people and other things that aren't me though so, not sure. Hopefully that will help with this too.

[–]soupz 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, jacks can be very difficult dogs. I really like them but personally i'd go crazy if i had one. I have a border collie and even he gets annoyed after a while when my friend brings his dog. Most jacks i know just have tons of energy so it helps them when they have another dog to play with. I guess it wouldn't always work though.

[–]eshinn 1 point2 points ago

Somehow there's a joke formulating about Jack Russel, Jack Daniels, hunting Wild Turkey in Tennessee but ... Barbra Streisand.

[–]latecraigy 1 point2 points ago

I knew a dog lady, she kinda smelled.

[–]ninjahands 513 points514 points ago

the black 1 on the right has zero fucks to give

[–]dem_onions 642 points643 points ago

that's how you eat when you've lost control of your life.

[–]Osvalt 57 points58 points ago

Damn... that's how I eat every day.

[–]physicscat 18 points19 points ago

I had a cat when I was a kid, Socks, who would lay down by his food bowl and use his paw to pull the bowl over to his mouth.

[–]latecraigy 2 points3 points ago

My dog lays like this all the time and just let's me pull her around on the floor by her shoulders. She also likes it when I spin her on the tile floor like a top. She's a bit odd.

[–]LeiaShadow 2 points3 points ago

Our cat, Severus, will pull his kibbles out of the bowl one-by-one with his paw if they're not properly piled inside.

[–]SirNoName 26 points27 points ago

Explains a lot, doesn't it

[–]astrograph 28 points29 points ago

oh.... so that's where i am at this point

[–]skakruk 15 points16 points ago

We're all there buddy, don't worry.

[–]Benditlikebaker 2 points3 points ago

That puppy is definitely the image of my current life.. Oops.

[–]ChronicMasterBaker 6 points7 points ago

i.e. reddit

[–]FILTHMcNASTY 21 points22 points ago

David Hasslehoff.

[–]randomboredom 57 points58 points ago

Thank you for that.

[–]SandNinjuh 2 points3 points ago

Ok, that is enough of the internet for me. Sobs*

[–]Squirrel_Nuts 47 points48 points ago

The one far left is getting there as well

[–]Rmeder1 17 points18 points ago

DM;HK

(Doesn't matter; had Kibbles)

[–]Yeahdude7 31 points32 points ago

I came here just to check this was the center point of a discussion.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points ago

He wants to put all of his energy into the task at hand. So cute.

[–]archetech 2 points3 points ago

Why worry about your reputation, your finances and standing upright while eating when you when you can simply... not give a fuck about those things.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points ago

He's like, "Fuck it! I'll just lay down."

[–]Just_Livin_Life 1 point2 points ago

Fuck it! We'll do it live!

[–]Chuckisbossingit 3 points4 points ago

The puppy is obviously at a [6]

[–]xilog 93 points94 points ago

Insufficient neurological capability to both stand and eat at the same time. That's Labradors for you.

[–]OleDaneBoy 39 points40 points ago

My chocolate always ate laying down, she is the epitome of lazy.

That dog has dreamed more than she's experienced real life I swear.

[–]oSand 52 points53 points ago

Do you eat standing up? No. Your fat Hominid ass uses a chair.

[–]OleDaneBoy 11 points12 points ago

True, but I also don't lay down on the floor with my head in the bowl and my front arms on either side so that the only force needed to put my mouth on the food is gravity.

[–]oSand 6 points7 points ago

Only because that'd be uncomfortable and humans eat with their hands.

[–]Trip_McNeely 6 points7 points ago

I guess I'm a Lab then.

[–]sportjb618 16 points17 points ago

does your friend need any of these puppies adopted?

[–]STJRedstorm 115 points116 points ago

Is it just me or do these little pups spell out the word K-A-R-M-A

[–]fatlittleparasite 46 points47 points ago

I can see it but it's pretty abstract.

[–]Cinnamonboots 29 points30 points ago

Just you

[–]pink_play-doh -2 points-1 points ago

I was thinking more along the lines of YMCA!.

[–]nudgeishere 7 points8 points ago

Theres five of them ಠ_ಠ

[–]pink_play-doh 18 points19 points ago

YMCA>!<

[–]cough_cough_harrumph 8 points9 points ago

In his defense, I think that is why he included the "!"

[–]sweets1195 12 points13 points ago

AWWW THE BLACK ONE IS LIKE "FUCK IT IM LAYING " :)

[–]archetech 6 points7 points ago

One fell down and achieved zen.

[–]x_x_x_x_x 24 points25 points ago

Dog-ignorant here: if they are not old enough to stand on their own feet, should they eat anything other than their mother's milk?

[–]simiusboo 113 points114 points ago

Well I'm just guessing here but the floor looks slippery and dogs often have a hard time balancing on hardwood that's smoothed like that. So prob those dogs just gave up balancing. Food > Balancing

[–]gggrrrrreaaat 63 points64 points ago

They are certainly old enough to walk. In fact, it only takes a few days for them to start crawling around. Dogs should be with their mother for about 9 weeks after birth, although by the end of that 9 weeks they should be starting to eat solid wet food (or dry food mixed with water). These puppies are certainly little, but I could believe they are 9 weeks or more. As someone else said, big bowl + little uncoordinated puppy + food + slippery floor = cute face plants.

[–]themcp 38 points39 points ago

They may also be tired, and puppies do sometimes fall asleep while eating.

[–]gggrrrrreaaat 19 points20 points ago

Yeah it's really cute. Human babies do that too.

[–]Stalked_Like_Corn 17 points18 points ago

My mom had the hardest time feeding me as i'd constantly just fall asleep. She'd have to give me little nudges. She said that even when chewing i'd just slow down then bam, fall asleep with a mouth full of food.

[–]SirNoName 7 points8 points ago

[–]Stalked_Like_Corn 3 points4 points ago

LOL I wasn't narcoleptic I just slept a lot as a child. And, well, now as an adult too.

[–]Tren509 16 points17 points ago

Sometimes it'll happen to me when I'm typs;dlfksjhd

[–]twistedfork 4 points5 points ago

Not to mention sometimes mom doesn't feed for 9 weeks. My friend's dog had an accidental litter and she stopped nursing at 6 or 7 weeks.

[–]thebigdonkey 13 points14 points ago

Was she planning on waiting until after college?

[–]pro-marx 7 points8 points ago

had an accidental litter

Damn, she should've been on the pill. How about a little dog sex-ed?

[–]twistedfork 1 point2 points ago

She had a male dog that became potent sooner than expected.

[–]Hobbes42 2 points3 points ago

Wait...her own son impregnated her accidentally? This is getting more and more sad...

[–]katydid15 5 points6 points ago

My puppy had trouble on our kitchen floor also, and she was definitely old enough.

[–]Stalked_Like_Corn 3 points4 points ago

My dog is about 10 months and pretty big, she still has a tough time on my hardwood floors. They're slippery and it's usually only when running/playing but there are times she's walking and SLIP, she goes down.

[–]soupz 2 points3 points ago

I know it's mean but i always laugh when that happens. It just looks so adorable.

[–]AnotherNameForgotten 14 points15 points ago

You might want to put a mat down where they eat; labs are especially prone to hip dysplasia, and have them slide around while they eat is just one step towards that.

[–]DotNine 6 points7 points ago

which one did he rescue from the dumpster?

[–]nowsouless 3 points4 points ago

now I want a piano made of puppies

[–]eds3284 4 points5 points ago

Why does no one ever put down a rug or some sort of rubber mat so that these guys have a chance to walk and eat properly. Jeez.

[–]Badenoch101 4 points5 points ago

Give one to each of your children. There will be a 6th hiding somewhere in the same room, give that one to your bastard. Dont go to King's Landing.

[–]dickermp 1 point2 points ago

face plant into the dish

[–]sunnyflavoratnight 1 point2 points ago

Did you align them like that purposefully?

[–]madcatlady 1 point2 points ago

And how long did you spend trying to persuade them to get in the right order and stop heading for the next bowl down?

Cute feckin fuzzballs!

[–]gmitch3066 1 point2 points ago

Have to love the good ol' patented squat-and-eat

[–]finest_jellybean 1 point2 points ago

They can hardly stand up. All that chowing must make them tired.

[–]psu20110 1 point2 points ago

GIVE ME THEM!!!

[–]herpesface 1 point2 points ago

Puppy on the far right seems to be the only one who's got their shit together

[–]Elysillia 1 point2 points ago

Am I the only one who thought of the 5 Little Monkeys song?

When I read it, I thought, "One fell down and bumped his head. Momma called the doctor and the doctor said, no more puppies belonging to your friend".

[–]ej727 1 point2 points ago

i think puppy #4 had a little too much to drink last night

[–]Ilovebobbysinger 1 point2 points ago

I love this picture. A little tear formed in my eye. Puppy love.

[–]zoolanderson 1 point2 points ago

[–]jediwarrior66 1 point2 points ago

[–]aboule13 1 point2 points ago

Dear portofmorrow,

Those puppies are incredibly cute.

Thanks,

Aboule13

[–]irishfeet78 1 point2 points ago

Anyone else feel like the subject should lead into a rhyme?

5 little puppies belonging to my friend / further evidence he's gone off the deep end / first there was one, then there were two / now 5 of them are here and soon none will fit in your shoe

[–]WOWTHATISCOOL 1 point2 points ago

Thank you for bringing a happy face to my previous sad face. Really.

[–]Random3456 1 point2 points ago

Make sure they don't always have their legs behind them like that or they could develop swimmer's syndrome.

[–]knyght5 1 point2 points ago

This just gave me a great idea for the next Oreo product. Cream, Cookie, Cream, Cookie, Cream!

[–]MrCrayon -3 points-2 points ago

Pretty sure that they are Army Puppies.

[–]owennerd123 22 points23 points ago

What?

[–]highgravitycane 5 points6 points ago

Its a subtle commentary on the over militarization of America.

[–]corncorncorncorn 0 points1 point ago

Awww, I used to have 10 black and white lab puppies. We had to give them away :(

[–]stoukos 0 points1 point ago

1 & 4 like a boss

[–]Invalitory 0 points1 point ago

Two of them don't know how to fight gravity.

[–]Steveyobs 0 points1 point ago

I can appreciate the symmetry.

[–]Willzay 0 points1 point ago

Fuck standing!

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]findingfurever2012 0 points1 point ago

I love how two of them are just like "ehh... screw using my legs, I don't need them."

[–]LeTrolleur 0 points1 point ago

4th from the left made my day...

[–]chillsmith 0 points1 point ago

black lab on the right side has the right idea, no reason to be standing when you're eating

[–]tiny_grenade 0 points1 point ago

[–]U-bot 0 points1 point ago

[–]reynej 0 points1 point ago

I have a friend who is a dog breeder. It kills me how their legs splay out like that when eating.

[–]Atein 0 points1 point ago

The 4th is not even trying. "Fuck legs, I just want to eat"

[–]Tyrelxpeioust 0 points1 point ago

Needs a blue french horn.

[–]skyturnred 0 points1 point ago

Dibs the one second from the right.

[–]my2penniesworth 0 points1 point ago

[–]Come_0n_People 0 points1 point ago

Have an Upvote for symmetry.

[–]Jackstick 0 points1 point ago

At least two of them are going to develop flat puppy syndrome.

(It's a real thing)

[–]growen 0 points1 point ago

I like the ones that are spread eagle while they're eating.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Diggin the face plant

Two puppies for the Kibble-kings of petco, One for the Bone-lords in their halls of marrow, One for Mortal Men doomed to die looking at pictures of cats, and One for the Dark Lord of internets on his dark throne In the Land of Reddit where the cat-people lie. One pup to rule them all, One pup to find them, One pup to bring them all and in the internets bind them In the Land of Reddit where the cat-people lie

[–]Bella344 0 points1 point ago

I love how the 4th one just lays there with all its legs spread out. This is one of the cutest things I've ever seen

[–]eshinn 0 points1 point ago

I love how two of them maintain posture, two are asleep from the neck down and one is somewhere in between the two extremes.

[–]Silentreadingtime 0 points1 point ago

That middle puppy's got the upper hand on all those slumped over pups

[–]adamcolon 0 points1 point ago

They need like a little throw rug... poor babies.

[–]TheShaeDee 0 points1 point ago

When my moms Great Dane had puppies we would feed them from a big bowl all together. Some of the pups would lay down outside the bowl and eat, some would stand, and others would just get right inside the bowl lay down and eat. The ones who would lay in the bowl I would always think they were the smartest.

[–]WinterSon 0 points1 point ago

i like the one that can't stand haha

[–]Fudge_is_1337 0 points1 point ago

No. 4 knows what he's doing

[–]krabs 0 points1 point ago

I'm the one second from the right.

[–]chubmuffin89 0 points1 point ago

Yea that 2nd one in from the right is like, "fuck it i just wont use my legs"

[–]Gamion 0 points1 point ago

Eating with your weiners touching the ground. 3/5 puppies approve.

[–]burntsoup 0 points1 point ago

Hey i eat laying sprawled out on the floor too! Not good for the balls though.

[–]themuffinman247 0 points1 point ago

those are adorable
