Aww, cripes. I didn't know I'd have to write a description. How many words is that so far, like a hundred? Soooo, yeah. Mildly interesting stuff. Stuff that interests you. Mildly. It's in the name, ffs.

Mine's been going for nearly 2.5 years. Get on my level.

Aren't you tired of running by now?

[–]Vague_Intentions 15 points16 points ago

A little.

[–]Joki9121 17 points18 points ago

Mine's been going for 2.9ish years

Didn't know other people liked to do this. Nice to know that I'm not alone

[–]Vague_Intentions 11 points12 points ago

I would hate that one day when I suddenly needed to use it to stoptime something.

[–]wiener4hir3 3 points4 points ago

Wow. That's dedication.

[–]xG33Kx 7 points8 points ago

Passive dedication?

[–]wiener4hir3 1 point2 points ago

Yes.

[–]IAmQWOP 2 points3 points ago

Wow, you even resisted to hit the lap button once. Great job, man!

[–]ern19 1 point2 points ago

I think those pop tarts are probably burned by now...

[–]stealingyourpixels 1 point2 points ago

You haven't turned your phone off or had it run out of batteries for 2.5 years?!

[–]Vlad164164 0 points1 point ago

Damn im at 20,747 hours right now

[–]vxx 0 points1 point ago

Does that mean your phone was always on power since 2009?

[–]Vague_Intentions 15 points16 points ago

Nah it picks up where you left off when you power it back on. I even switched devices and restored from a backup and it kept going.

-Start stopwatch on phone

-Change date on computer to a few years later

-Plug phone into computer

-???

-Profit!

Boring but it works.

Just to prove my point.

In fact it turns out that you don't even have to plug it in your computer. Just changing the date directly on your phone works just fine.

edit: typo

[–]mikesername 2 points3 points ago

OH LA LA NOUS AVONS UN FRANCAIS DANS LA MAISON.

[–]Vague_Intentions 3 points4 points ago

You can't fake a date when you're connected to a cell tower iirc.

[–]MarshmallowPony 5 points6 points ago

Oh, that might be true. I didn't think of this.

I only tested it on my iPod Touch so I assumed it worked with cell phones too. My mistake then.

[–]Vague_Intentions 4 points5 points ago

Yeah I'm like 99% sure that cell towers set the date for you. I know that when I cross timezones my phone automatically detects from a cell tower and changes the time for me.

[–]George_Burdell 7 points8 points ago

I think it does do that automatically, but can't you disable it?

[–]Vague_Intentions 5 points6 points ago

[–]Vague_Intentions 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, but you have to disconnect from the cell network iirc.

[–]mikesername 1 point2 points ago

just turn on airplane mode

[–]impossiblyirrelevant 0 points1 point ago

If you're on an iPhone you can turn off that feature and set the time and date manually

[–]Vague_Intentions 2 points3 points ago

[–]Obraka 1 point2 points ago

Dont know about iPhone but with Android it's possible to deactivate the time synch.

[–]Vague_Intentions 0 points1 point ago

I'm pretty sure that iPhones can't. I'll test it later, but I'm blaming you if it messes up my timer that's been going for 2.5 years. >:|

[–]Obraka 5 points6 points ago

I can't handle that pressure, please don't do it!

[–]Vague_Intentions 4 points5 points ago

Sorry, I did it, and it got stuck at this: http://i.imgur.com/ase77.jpg

No biggie though. It was time to start it over anyways.

[–]impossiblyirrelevant 2 points3 points ago

Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically: Off

[–]Vague_Intentions 1 point2 points ago

Yup. I was wrong.

[–]emilsmith 0 points1 point ago

I did it when I was cheating in tiny tower.

[–]Joseph445 0 points1 point ago

You can just put it onto airplane mode.

[–]TheBaris 13 points14 points ago

Mine has been going since like 26th of April, 2011 (:

I took this pic a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic when it was at 9999:99:99:9 :/

Now it's like this.

[–]Dave_Lister02[S] 17 points18 points ago

the restraint to not even press the lap button is impressive

[–]wiener4hir3 1 point2 points ago

Don't tempt him.

[–]mrdm242 23 points24 points ago

Point zero? Come on, OP, you can do better than that!

[–]Dave_Lister02[S] 10 points11 points ago

I was going for .4 but I was slightly under the influence thanks to the /r/perth meetup last night

[–]anyonethinkingabout 1 point2 points ago

what if it was going to happen at 4 am?

[–]Alpinestarhero 7 points8 points ago

Your laptimes are dropping at an alarming rate - I think you have some kind of problem, pit on the next lap!

[–]Steffykins 3 points4 points ago

I am mildy interested that these posts still exist.

Wouldn't you agree that it's mildly interesting that mine has been running since prior to the iPhone's debut?

[–]randomperson1121 1 point2 points ago

WHY DID YOU STOP IT?

[–]MrMagPi 0 points1 point ago

I know how it feels to have your post "one-upped" now.

[–]Shlx 0 points1 point ago

Mine was at 25788 hours before I had to reformat my iPod 2 months ago :(

[–]ryanbate 0 points1 point ago

Your phone hasn't been switched off or ran out of battery since December?!

[–]Surgency 0 points1 point ago

Fuck man! I totally forgot about this. I got an iPhone last september and I had this running on my iPod touch at the time. I forgot to keep it charged.

This picture was taken in september of 2011.. http://i.imgur.com/41Na2.jpg

[–]Chazillaz 0 points1 point ago

You were slacking there a bit on lap 22.

[–]mikesername 0 points1 point ago

3 is such a good service provider.

[–]soal1 0 points1 point ago

Couldn't get the other four, huh?

[–]sjhaakie 0 points1 point ago

Why?

[–]albinoalpacka -1 points0 points ago

I don't have a picture (I got rid of the phone for obvious reasons), but I started my iPhone 3G's stopwatch one month after release. I never turned it off!
