My 4 tenants of a good Halloween costume as a 25 year old.

  1. Mobility

  2. Drinkability

  3. Accessability

  4. Nostalgia

The costume should strike a chord of nostalgia with the audience, you should be able to easily drink, you should be able to move around the party easily and you should be able to get to ladies easily. I have followed these all to varying degrees based on the year, and would be afraid to try one like this! Best of luck figuring it out!

How tall are you? I am 5 ft 11 and tried to do a transformer costume very similar to this last Halloween, and learned the hard way that it is difficult to scale up with cardboard to my height and make it work... you're going to have to put in a ton of work reinforcing each piece to make it strong enough for an adult, or use better material than cardboard. I also realised I wouldn't be able to fit the costume into a car or through doors so gave up.
