Scrubs is like a family pet. At first it is adorable but awkward. Then it gets familiar, reliable, and gives you many years of love. Then it grows old, feeble and a bit of a burden but you still love it. Finally it dies and you give it a grand send off because it will remain one of the happiest memories of your life. Then an evil wizard comes along and resurrects it and it tries to kill your whole family.

[–]oshoney 8 points9 points ago

This is a pretty perfect analogy, actually. Well done.

[–]what1stuff 71 points72 points ago

[–]babybackbitches 3 points4 points ago

I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS

[–]briangood 660 points661 points ago

DONT WATCH THE LAST SEASON

[–]superkissel 372 points373 points ago

you just can't stress that enough. Season 8 had a perfect ending to a series of all time, it should have ended there and if anyone ask, it did.

[–]briangood 240 points241 points ago

im sure less people would have hated season 9 if it was the first season of another show

[–]knowpunintended 90 points91 points ago

That's how I took it and it held up okay as the first season of a new show. Then again, I'm not one of those people who finds that my enjoyment of something is diminished by other things (like lacklustre sequels or unpleasant facts about actors/creators) so that could be a factor for people.

[–]briangood 15 points16 points ago

i know the director did say he wanted to end the series at season 8 but NBC? i believe had them after ABC wanted it to continue

[–]shibbyboi182 46 points47 points ago

I don't get very emotional/attached to tv shows and movies. The end of season 8 is the only time a tv show made me tear up.

[–]swdpwnzdggr 6 points7 points ago

If you liked the ending of scrubs I would recommend Roseanne. My favorite ending to a show ever. The last season throws a lot of WTF at you and then the last episode comes out of nowhere.

[–]9ninety_nine9 30 points31 points ago

The ending of Rosanne ruined the show for me, I can't watch re runs because it's ALL A LIE! It made me sad for a long time.

[–]Lifeaftercollege 14 points15 points ago

I'm sorry you're getting downvotes because that's a totally legitimate way to feel and I happen to agree. Their last episode was basically stereotypical WTF, and I personally find it to be a total cop-out for writers to spend years building those characters and then take that all away and attribute it to her writing when they never, in the whole series, gave you the impression that she would have the ability to write a book like that.

[–]swdpwnzdggr 3 points4 points ago

Yes they do, throughout the entire series they hint at her being a writer, it is mentioned very often, and a lot of the changes made complete sense in the end.

[–]emkat 8 points9 points ago

I can't believe you're getting downvotes. I thought it was universally accepted that Rosanne had the worst sitcom ending of all time.

[–]androgynous2398 1 point2 points ago

As a person who liked the ending, you should really re-watch it. There is one episode of roseanne sitting in a diner getting coffee from a woman who's husband died and turns on sports to make it feel like he's there, and then they do the same exact thing in the finale. I thought it was really poetic and there are a lot of gems when you re-watch it

[–]Falcorsc2 2 points3 points ago

i agree the whole book thing and giving birth to the devil or w/e and just the crazy shit that happened...ugh

Altho that show had some of the best halloween specials ever next to home improvement

[–]ZeMilkman 4 points5 points ago

HEY HEY! SPOILER ALERT HOW ABOUT YOU PUT ONE IN?

[–]NotGuiltyByInsanity 1 point2 points ago

it ended in 1997. you've had ample time to catch up. get over it.

[–]1zero2two8eight 2 points3 points ago

I never watched it but now I'm curious. What is this WTF you speak of? It's a comedy, isn't it?

[–]swdpwnzdggr 12 points13 points ago

The whole series up until the last season is pretty realistic, besides the odd episode here and there like the halloween ones. In the last season they throw the weirdest shit out there, like them winning the lotto, john goodmans mom is fucking crazy, Roseanne somehow stops a train robbery like a ninja or some shit.

SPOILERS The reason for this wackyness is explained in the last episode. The season finale of the season BEFORE the last has john goodmans character suffer from a heart attack, at the start of the next season he gets better and thats when it goes all WTF. You end up finding out at the last season that the show was actually a novel roseannes character was working on the whole time based on her real life. Some of the things were different, like her daughters husbands were swapped because she felt they fit better, he sister was the lesbian not her mother and, here is the big one, John Goodmans character dies when he has his heart attack, which also was on the day of his daughters wedding. The reason why the end goes all WTF was because she was dealing with depression.

The ending was actually pretty brilliant because throughout the whole show they hint that roseanne wants to write and nothing ever seems to come out of it thought it pops up about once a season.

[–]1zero2two8eight 4 points5 points ago

What. The. Fuck.

Some Vanilla Sky shit right there.

[–]barset 1 point2 points ago

Damn you for bringing it up. Roseanne was and still is one of.the greatest shows to me It was a total package like M.A.S.H. was. A redeeming point for me is Johnny galeki(sp?) Being on big bang theory and aunt Jackie and Sarah Gilbert as well If john Goodman makes a cameo ever it would be perfect.

[–]fsu120 1 point2 points ago

If that is the only time, then you must not have watched the Six Feet Under finale. I think it is impossible to not get choked up watching the last 5 minutes of the finale.

[–]Shockum 1 point2 points ago

Completely agree. Was a great way to end a series. Still gets me when I see a rerun.

But question, how does one just now discover Scrubs? Didn't think it was possible!

[–]JasJ002 10 points11 points ago

I thought they technically branded season 9 as the first season of Scrubs: Interns

[–]doyousellupdog 19 points20 points ago

I think it was Scrubs: Med School?

[–]BoxSquid 1 point2 points ago

"Scrubs: Terrible" would be most accurate.

[–]superkissel 1 point2 points ago

scrubs: interns was sunny's video diary which only aired online.

[–]Knoxie_89 1 point2 points ago

If they would have given it another season I think it would have taken off, but it definitely would have been better to start it off as a new show.

[–]Sawdust_Prophet 1 point2 points ago

Bill Lawrence tried to get the name changed, but ABC refused to hear it. The closest he got was putting the subtitle "Med School" into the opening credits. If Lawrence had gotten his way, it might have fared better.

[–]theCANCERbat 1 point2 points ago

I tried to take it that way. It would have been a lot easier if they changed the name.

[–]LaSteff 4 points5 points ago

wait...there's a season 9?? o_O

[–]superkissel 97 points98 points ago

no there is not

[–]quink 32 points33 points ago

I can confirm, I checked Wikipedia and IMDB, and there's no mention of any Season 9.

[–]smthngclvr 50 points51 points ago

Nobody else should check though.

[–]quink 23 points24 points ago

Yeah, it'd just be a waste of time that I have saved everyone else.

[–]astrograph 7 points8 points ago

NO!

[–]elanasaurus 12 points13 points ago

Nope, nothing to see here

[–]Rommel727 5 points6 points ago

Season 8 was the ending man. I don't care what anyone else says. I had major man tears within the final minutes.

[–]Sennash 14 points15 points ago

As a Scrubs fan I don't hate on season 9. I own them all on DVD and watch the show everyday. Season 8 has a great ending and it really is the true ending to Scrubs, however season 9 still has some good moments and its enough to ride you through that awkward 'my life is over' feeling whenever you finish a tv series you're invested in.

[–]ChubbyWalrus 6 points7 points ago

It's not a bad season if you think of it as a separate show. I actually really liked it once I thought that.

[–]JoeRuinsEverything 26 points27 points ago

I've said this about a thousand times on reddit now, but i actually LIKE season 9.

Why you ask? Why let me tell you: It was like season 1! Remember why you first fell in love with Scrubs? It was a fun comedy show about young doctors and the tough things they go through every day. It showed you the struggle of young doctors and how hard it is to become a doctor. Scrubs lost that when season 4 came around. Don't get me wrong, i love every season of Scrubs, but at this point it was all about comedy/slapstick and maybe, just maybe there were a couple of episodes that touched some sad issues. By season 6 and 7 it was completely gone and the seasons were pretty forgettable anyway. Season 9 got that feeling right again with some funny new characters. They struggled through med school, studied their asses off, learned first hand how terrifying and soulcrushing a hospital can be when things go wrong.

That doesn't mean season 9 was perfect, but people never gave it a chance. All the haters watched the first episode, hated it and kept bitching for the rest of the season. I agree that the first few episodes were really bad, but that was because they didn't really know what the direction it was going yet. Still having J.D. around was a terrible decision, because he was essentially a gay, comical, slapstick character at this point, who didn't contribute anything at all. Besides, the ending of season 8 was just too perfect for him. They should've left him out and completely focus on the new interns. Drew and Denise were freaking funny. Hooch, Laverneagain (seriously?! i still think this is the most retarded thing in the whole series!), Ed or all the other stupid characters they tried to introduce in season 6-8 don't hold a freaking candle to these two. A subtitle like "Scrubs: The New Interns" or sth. like that would've helped the show too.

[–]remlap 2 points3 points ago

Fantastic post mate, as mod at /r/Scrubs I'd love to see you over there.

I once read after Med School was tanking the new production crew actually pitched idea of a true spin off just with Drew and Denise. Everyone who bothered to watch the show responded to them two so well, it may of worked.

[–]TimesWasting 4 points5 points ago

Just call it the spin off. It's only the "last season" because they were forced to tack it on by ABC. It was supposed to be a spin off called Scrubs Med School

[–]TryingToSucceed 30 points31 points ago

Season 8 was the last season. Season 9 is a false memory implanted into our brains.

[–]Rosetti 5 points6 points ago

Season 9 was actually pretty good, but it wasn't really season 9, it was more like season 1 of a spin-off show. It had its flaws, but it was still decent TV.

The majority of the hate comes from fanboys who are upset that the main cast left.

[–]milk16 1 point2 points ago

funniest part for me in the last season - Janitor quits

[–]True_or_Folts 2 points3 points ago

Coming from a huge Scrubs fan, treat season 9 as a completely different show. It was written that way and was meant to be a different show. Season 8 is the real last season of Scrubs.

[–]THE_APE_SHIT_KILLER 1 point2 points ago

What do you mean? Season 8 was amazing.

[–]gr3nade 1 point2 points ago

Seriously they wanted to make the last season a spinoff because the main characters were gone and they had a new main cast but they didn't because the network didn't want them to. My point is the last season isn't even part of the show so DO NOT WATCH IT. Or atleast don't watch it thinking its part of the show because it's not. Also, good on you for finding this show. Its one of the very very few shows I can watch over and over and over and over without getting bored. I've probably watched every episode three times and still sit down to watch an episode every weekday just because they show reruns every weekday. One of the best shows ever.

[–]Shagoosty 1 point2 points ago

once JD leaves the last season is good. It would of been much better as a spin off if they had left out the old characters.

[–]meditonsin 4 points5 points ago

What is wrong with you? Season 8 is just beatiful. Especially the ending. Why would you tell people not to watch it?

[–]octocock 2 points3 points ago

I'm not sure if you're continuing the joke, but in case you're not he's referring to season 9 which was quite bad.

[–]meditonsin 4 points5 points ago

I was implying that season 9 doesn't exist, but either poeple don't get it, or they just don't find it funny.

[–]TheAurelian 1 point2 points ago

Last episode = sadness.

[–]AthMouse 6 points7 points ago

Happy sadness

[–]mister_durden 207 points208 points ago

Were you living under one of the many rocks posted to reddit in the last 24 hours?

[–]drumellow[S] 53 points54 points ago

well... i never really sat down to watch it till now

[–]lejsen 70 points71 points ago

Prepare for an emotional roller-coaster, you will laugh, you will cry, mostly laugh of course. Oh and don't bother with season 9.

[–]drumellow[S] 177 points178 points ago

the one with Jordan's brother's funeral was holy-shit

[–]Daotar 77 points78 points ago

That was a fantastic episode. The way they ended it at the funeral was brilliant, I didn't see it coming.

[–]Snoyarc 25 points26 points ago

By far one of my favorite episodes.

[–]TheAmityvillain 44 points45 points ago

Fun fact: Jordan asks if he's still carrying around that stupid camera and he says "till the day I die". After he dies, he's not seen with the camera anymore.

[–]SinisterMinisterT4 3 points4 points ago

[–]Snoyarc 1 point2 points ago

Good catch, I have seen that episode at least 5x and never noticed that.

[–]Kynaeus 12 points13 points ago

Where do you think we are?

[–]SuperMoses82 2 points3 points ago

[–]red321red321 27 points28 points ago

that song at the end of that episode and 'where do you think we are' choked me up.

[–]Slick1 18 points19 points ago

Amazing how a 20 minute show can get you completely invested in a new character, kill them off, and make you feel like you've been crushed.

[–]saltyjohnson 5 points6 points ago

He was a guest for two episodes in season 1. I believe Brendan Fraser said he would only be on the show if they gave him two episodes because he wanted time to have a fully-developed character and not just be another cameo.

Then he came back for My Screw Up in season 3 to spoiler.

[–]Grimorg 4 points5 points ago

Well, he wasn't a completely new character. Though, it was the first time he really got significant screen time.

[–]Slick1 2 points3 points ago

True, but new enough. I felt like I would have felt the same if they had killed off a recurring character.

[–]Grimorg 9 points10 points ago

Honestly, Ben got to me more than Laverne did.

[–]SolidDexter 1 point2 points ago

I would be so angry reading these comments if I hadn't seen every goddamn episode already.

[–]hobbsarelie83 12 points13 points ago

That episode blew my mind. That and the episode where they sing Colin Hay at the end of the episode are my favorites

[–]nuisible 4 points5 points ago

With the heart transplant lady? Yeah I sing along to that one and cry. I'm still a man dammit.

[–]Circular_Caseline 3 points4 points ago

Shower Shortz- for the man who has nothing to hide; but still wants to.

[–]TheSublime 2 points3 points ago

That one and the 2nd episode of the 8th season are probably my favourite emotional episodes.

[–]dudemeister5000 1 point2 points ago

just wait for season 6 episode 15. You WILL cry.

[–]IHaveTwoThumbs 1 point2 points ago

You ever hear of a little episode called Jurassic Bark?

[–]SinisterMinisterT4 1 point2 points ago

God yes. I just finished season 8 last week. It has become on of my all time favorite shows, ever. Because guy love. (you'll get that later)

[–]SocialIssuesAhoy 1 point2 points ago

Man, there's quite a few episodes that leave me in tears.... GAH such an amazing show!!! Brb, going back to watch them all again!

[–]NightHawk929 1 point2 points ago

That episode was so powerful, sad and brilliant at the same time.

[–]mellooo 1 point2 points ago

I haven't either but I think it's time that I start

[–]H0nkeyKong 5 points6 points ago

Seriously, it played on continuous loop on comedy central for about 10 years

[–]Aiyon 1 point2 points ago

Warning! 90% of the stuff under this is potentially a spoiler!

[–]fearthisbeard 57 points58 points ago

"Why are there pancakes in the silver drawer?" "Psh why is there silverware in the pancake drawer!"

[–]dean451 35 points36 points ago

you forgot turks 'WHUTHUH' at the end.

[–]Blizzaldo 1 point2 points ago

He said wassup and inbetween psh and why, he said you mean.

[–]kal0029 78 points79 points ago

If I could delete one television show from memory and be able to watch it again, it would be Scrubs. Enjoy the show sir

[–]MarioBGE 41 points42 points ago

If I could delete one television show from memory and be unable to watch it again, it would be Scrubs season 9.

[–]jdlee3 5 points6 points ago

My thoughts exactly.

[–]hunterv01 6 points7 points ago

Scrubs is a good choice, but I would have to go with Arrested Development.

[–]silveraw 1 point2 points ago

and be disappointed that it ends too early? I think not.

[–]hunterv01 1 point2 points ago

It's coming back though!

[–]LOLrSAUCE 2 points3 points ago

Scrubs has so much rewatch value though. I think mine would have to be Breaking Bad

[–]bceltics933 15 points16 points ago

[–]9ninety_nine9 7 points8 points ago

Scrubs is one of those shows that I can watch a million times and still laugh myself to tears, even though I know what they are going to say. I wish I was like you and watching it for the first time though.

[–]dom65659 124 points125 points ago

Just discovered it? Welcome to ten years ago!

[–]VikingMop 66 points67 points ago

Don't mock him! Everyone else envy him right now. At least I do, because I wish I could watch the whole show for the first time again.

[–]Makkaboosh 12 points13 points ago

I just watched season 8 finale last night. I never watched the show. I ended watching all 8 seasons in about 2 weeks. I'm kind of glad I missed out on it because it gave me the opportunity to watch it back to back like this.

[–]ruslakallin 4 points5 points ago

I am right there now, just watched the first season in 3 days. I love it.

[–]zadien28 1 point2 points ago

Not to sound competitive or anything, but after I graduated high school 2 years ago, I started watching for the first time. I watched the show, almost every moment I was awake, 4 times completely over. I still cried at the ending of the 8th season. My parents weren't thrilled that I did nothing for over a month than sit on my ass watching the same show all day.

[–]thanks_for_the_fish 1 point2 points ago

I watched Seasons 1-7 in December and January, and it was the best Christmas break ever. I have yet to watch 8-9.

[–]growlingbear 7 points8 points ago

I just discovered it 6 months ago, because of Netflix.

[–]Uranium387 1 point2 points ago

OP is one of today's lucky 10,000.

[–]yuze_ 122 points123 points ago

I just discovered Friends. How you doin'?

Karma please.

[–]Dunkelz 53 points54 points ago

Could you BE any more desperate for karma?

[–]Shawn5961 35 points36 points ago

Shut up, Ms. Chanandler Bong.

[–]Hoobleton 10 points11 points ago

I will watch that clip over and over, it never gets old. Same with the Bamboozled clip.

[–]Shawn5961 1 point2 points ago

"THIS IS THE GREATEST.... GAME... EVER!!!!"

[–]kgram 1 point2 points ago

"I JUST BAMBOOZLED CHANDLER!.... which is not a sexual thing."

[–]ClemsonPoker 8 points9 points ago

"Uh...uh...ohhhh...he's a....a...he's a trans...TRANSPONSTER!"

"That's not even a WORRRDD*."

Favorite episode.

*Thanks Birchinator

[–]Birchinator 5 points6 points ago

Pretty sure it's "word", not "thing". Trust me, I have watched that show way too much.

Edit: Throwing in a plug for /r/central_perk as well, because it is so small and that makes me sad.

[–]Shawn5961 4 points5 points ago

That's probably one of my favorite scenes in the entire series. And when Chandler and Joey ride into the apartment on the dog sculpture.

[–]drumellow[S] 68 points69 points ago

but... i made the little picture ... too... awww...

[–]wanbo37 48 points49 points ago

You did everything right, they're just being big meanies to you because you're a little slow. Don't listen to them pats you on head

[–]yosem1te 4 points5 points ago

One of the few shows that can be watched over and over and over while never getting old.

[–]Anticitizen_One 1 point2 points ago

Hiii...

[–]myfajahas400children 2 points3 points ago

I just discovered Happy days. Sit on it, eyyyyyyyy!

[–]Pybro5ever 5 points6 points ago

If you just discovered this, you are in for a hell of a ride!

[–]toofartofall2 6 points7 points ago

Turk singing Safety Dance. That is all.

[–]Uranium387 1 point2 points ago

You can't just mention that scene without linking to it.

[–]kinsmed 2 points3 points ago

Hooch is crazy.

[–]BICEPS 8 points9 points ago

Scrubs is shown daily on a popular German tv broadcaster. That's why I've seen every episode at least 2 times.

[–]Not_A_Pink_Pony 5 points6 points ago

We have a channel that runs through season 1-9 with 4 episodes a day, and when they're done with season 9 they start over the day after with season 1 again. They've done that for almost 2 years now.

[–]quink 2 points3 points ago

They did the same for The Simpsons.

[–]seattlekboy 12 points13 points ago

Awesome show. Too bad the last season was absolutely horrible.

[–]wogs94 14 points15 points ago

Season 8 ended it perfectly, then season 9 blew cock

[–]SWEATY_BALL_SACK 10 points11 points ago

Just pretend it never happened.

[–]obligatory_ 11 points12 points ago

Pretend what never happened?

[–]SocialIssuesAhoy 1 point2 points ago

wink

[–]drumellow[S] 5 points6 points ago

i didn't make it all the way through season 9... they should have just renamed it

[–]Logg420 36 points37 points ago

There are only 8 seasons . . . period . . . end of story

[–]tmlangen 1 point2 points ago

WE DIDN'T LISTEN

[–]Ruhlmdc 1 point2 points ago

They tried to, hence why the opening title says "Scrubs: Med School" in the bottom right corner. It was the best they could do, studio forced them for that last season.

[–]Cawley22 2 points3 points ago

Lucky you. I wish I could forget and rediscover this show and enjoy it minute by minute all over again. I love this show. Still my favorite to this day. Enjoy watching and don't stick any pennies in any doors.

[–]akakaze 2 points3 points ago

Everyone's saying to skip season 9, just treat it like an inferior spin-off and it's enjoyable enough in its own right. Just don't watch Joni Loves Chachi expecting Happy Days.

[–]sixtyten_r 2 points3 points ago

Hooch really is crazy though

[–]Jesusdragon737 2 points3 points ago

I was about to criticize you for not knowing about Scrubs, but then I remembered this comic: http://imgur.com/bYL3n. You're one of today's lucky 10,000!

[–]Holy-Breadcrumbs 10 points11 points ago

Season 9 was the Antichrist

[–]jaundicedplatypus 4 points5 points ago

You just discovered Scrubs!!?

[–]dovetailsandwich 7 points8 points ago

This must have been a pre-Beyonce/J. Lo joke. Now white girls are supposed to have big asses as well as big boobs, small waists, toned legs, etc.

I love my big white ass.

[–]Steveturds 1 point2 points ago

If you just found it then why are you quoting season 5?

[–]frelf 1 point2 points ago

Man that show got me through my 2 months of unemployment!

[–]BobbyBigDogMalone 1 point2 points ago

Did anyone else use the "Go left" kissing technique given in the episode with T.C.W? (Tasty Coma Wife?) Oh my goodness, changed my life.

[–]mugglelukki 1 point2 points ago

I'm so happy for you! I wish it could all be new to me, again :)

[–]Nurfy 1 point2 points ago

The writer's strike + the change of studio ownership really messed with the last two seasons of the show. However, the last episode of season 8 was absolutely perfect.

[–]myteddyhurts 1 point2 points ago

You're just now discovering this Show?

[–]Mr_McAwesome 1 point2 points ago

Hillarious show it destroyed my life for a while after I discovered it

[–]mcrmarine 1 point2 points ago

What show is this?

[–]toothpic_vic 1 point2 points ago

Hooch Is Craaaazy!

[–]RedRupee 1 point2 points ago

This show defined the 2000s. I'm re-watching it from start to finish for the 3rd time right now. It never gets old for me.

[–]Clint_Swift 1 point2 points ago

am i the only sap who doesn't like this show?

[–]themizlfoshizl 1 point2 points ago

don't think it's 'sap' to not like this show. (unless you're sap normally, in which case, do what you do do best). I don't like it either. once the show dynamics became predictable it became boring. plus i wanna punch zack braff for that punk'd episode

Black girls and southern chicks. My favorites. I am white as they come, but get some drink in me, and I will start talking to any fine black women that comes my way. I love how when you tell a black women you like her shoes or dress, they smile all big and whatnot.

Do the same to a white girl, they think you are trying to take them home. Pathetic.

I'll go ahead and admit it, I really hate this show.

[–]gfantom 4 points5 points ago

Dayum, I love this show. Care to share what you find annoying about it? I'm genuinely curious.

[–]chelseaott 4 points5 points ago

I'm not sure. Just something about it. The humor is just not for me, and I really can't put a finger on it.... I'm genuinely curious now, too.

[–]SocialIssuesAhoy 1 point2 points ago

The urge to downvote you for your opinion is SO strong... I mean I won't because I understand that it'd be wrong but just.... MAN! No other show for me has even come CLOSE to touching me the way Scrubs has and if you can't get that feeling from Scrubs, I hope there's at least some other show equally as important to you!

[–]galileofan 1 point2 points ago

You're just all kinds of wrong

Best show I've ever seen. On my 4th time through the series.

[–]bharatpatel89 6 points7 points ago

20th, not trying to outdo anyone, just love the show and watching TV in general.

[–]ewrs 1 point2 points ago

Congratulations on your 20th time. I've watched The Drew Carey Show 9 times now and I'm going for the 10th before the end of the year.

[–]TheGOPkilledJesus 1 point2 points ago

I loved that show!

"I'm a story topper, Elliot, you know that about me."

[–]BootManHands 1 point2 points ago

WELP! Time to watch Scrubs again

[–]Skarlettblack 1 point2 points ago

There is a man making an ocarina out of a carrot on my TV.

[–]ChagSC 1 point2 points ago

One of the greatest shows of all time. Funny with depth. Though it starts to lose itself after season 5, it's still awesome.

[–]BolshevikMuppet 1 point2 points ago

I may be bucking the trend here a bit, but I liked the ninth season more than I'd liked the seventh or most of the eighth. I especially liked the Ninth when Zach Braff had fulfilled his contractual obligation and got to go do other things. I'd gotten so tired of how much they played up his silliness, and liked (a) that they turned it back much more into an ensemble show, and (b) gave themselves a clean slate to work off of in terms of a main character.

I liked the side characters more than the main character (Lucy) and her boyfriend (douchebag whose name I can't remember, but his entire characterization was "douchebag"). But, they got enough screen time that I didn't feel deprived.

Best show ever. End of discussion.

[–]SimonAdebisi 1 point2 points ago

Stop watching it right now.

[–]WoodenPlunger 2 points3 points ago

You guys all enjoy your inside jokes. "Yeah, Great show!".

I'll just sit here not knowing what show it is and wishing op would just say "I jut discovered this show, (name)"

[–]octocock 6 points7 points ago

Scrubs. Excellent show, stop after the 8th season. It's all on Netflix.

EDIT: Also, plenty of posts have mentioned the name of the show already. There aren't even that many comments to read through.

[–]WoodenPlunger 2 points3 points ago

Ah. I saw scrubs in a few but I saw friends in another and was just confused.

[–]middledigitman 0 points1 point ago

See you back on Reddit in about a week then ... enjoy !!

[–]tmccarthy53 0 points1 point ago

Welcome to Scrubs :)

[–]feelbetternow 0 points1 point ago

From my personal experience, this would greatly depend on the girl involved.

[–]LarsMarfach 0 points1 point ago

As a huge fan of Scrubs, season 8 was the true ending. But S9 was still good in my books. Cole in particular had dome brilliant scenes.

[–]Lilyo 0 points1 point ago

I watched every episode of Scrubs on Netflix from season 1 to 9 8 every day and it was the best 3 months of my life... I miss it so much :"(

[–]cg032191 0 points1 point ago

I'm pretty sure in that scene they are talking about how JD is bad at basketball, but the people playing don't know that. He wants Turk to pick him for his team and say something along the lines of, "This guy is the best player here." Then Carla would ring his pager and make him have to go into the hospital before the game started. This would make sure someone thought he was good at sports. The problem is that I think he bounced the ball off the backboard and knocked himself out.

FUNNY

[–]slothenstein 0 points1 point ago

Floating head doctor is probably my favourite thing in the show.

[–]letmebreakitdown 0 points1 point ago
