The people that I know who've enjoyed the book are the same people that enjoyed twilight, watch reality tv, and go out of their way to care about pop culture. They're people who do nothing but spend their lives consuming shit, and consequently never develop a barometer for quality. When they hear about the latest hot topic, they'll check it out for the water-cooler talk alone.
