Rules

  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), weight loss photos, posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. Weight loss photos go in /r/loseit, DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

  5. Submissions must link directly to a specific image file or to an image hosting website with minimal ads. We do not allow blog hosting of images ("blogspam"), but links to albums on image hosting websites are okay. URL shorteners are prohibited.

  • If your submission appears to be filtered but definitely meets the above rules, please send us a message with a link to the comments section of your post (not a direct link to the image). Don't delete it as that just makes the filter hate you!

  • If you come across any rule violations, please report the submission or message the mods and one of us will remove it!

Please also try to come up with original post titles. Submissions that use certain clichés/memes will be automatically tagged with a warning.

These are "Love the sinner, hate the sin" assholes. While less offensive than WBC, they do not deserve any respect for simply being less-intolerant.

This is not the same thing as respecting gays as human being with different sexual orientation. These people still think and preach that homosexuality is sinful and reproachful. They will deserve respect when they stop masquerading as pro-gay to gain tithes and start actually supporting equality for every human being on this fucking rock.

TL;DR Calling gays helpless sinners is barely a step in the right direction, much less a desirable position.

This issue is important to me, so I've really tried to find what they're about.

They seem nothing at all lie brainwasher cunts. They seem genuinely putting their faith out there, being at odds not with the LGBT community, but with intolerant members of the faith.

Here's what I've found:

"Seek reconciliation not based on a change of belief system but rather living out your current beliefs differently."

We are here to immerse ourselves in the daily life of living in the tension between communities struggling to find out what reconciliation looks like with the ‘other’; whichever the ‘other’ might be to you.

The “I’m Sorry” Campaign is an effort to apologize to the LGBT community for the ways Christians have caused harm and to show our commitment to making things better in tangible ways.

There were 20 of us. Gay and straight. Black and white. Male and female and transgender. Christian and non-Christian. Old and young. Parents and children and siblings and friends and co-workers. No matter what, we all had one thing in common: Humility.

Then they wonder why do they call gays perverts. If you don't want to be characterized as something then stop parading around and acting like it and giving people a reason to have that impression about you.

I'd imagine the parades are sufficiently advertised such that people can avoid them.

If you'd like to counter with "Well, I shouldn't have to change my day around them", I'll counter with Alan Turing shouldn't have been chemically castrated and we can throw insults and waste a buttload of time.

I'm aware of that but have you seen or heard of a gay pride parade where there wasn't some sort of deviant behavior going on? Whats the parade for anyway, homosexuals are not an ethnic group and shouldn't be treated as such. I know.... your gonna say they have been treated like subhumans and some horrible atrocities have happened to homosexuals and I understand but that's life and there will ALWAYS be intolerance in the world no matter how many parades you have or how many law's you make. Being of a certain ethnic group myself I don't think I am special and shouldn't have special treatment. I guess that is where I differ.

It's not special treatment to receive equal rights. And the basis for homosexuality is biological, not voluntary, so it is a distinct group. Finally, the fact that atrocities will always be committed does not excuse them. Of course people should speak out against injustice, whether it will always continue or not. Unjust wars may always happen; does that mean people can never prevent them?

I disagree with you on pretty much everything you say. Let's just leave it at that. There will NEVER be a Utopian society that you so badly want and the sooner you realize this the better. Life isn't fair and you have to deal with it the best way you can. Another thing, I am not excusing anybody for committing atrocities. I stated that there will always be atrocities committed. Big difference.

It's your right to disagree, although if you disagree with the science of a biological basis for homosexuality, then you'd better have superior evidence, rather than being some guy whose disgust gets in the way of his critical faculties.

First off I am not disgusted by gay people and I never said that their being gay is a choice I just disagree with how most of them display themselves in a certain manner and then become angry when people judge them on that manner that they display themselves. It's like me going to a public place and getting drunk and belligerent and then getting pissed off at people for judging me for being an asshole.
