I've started paying attention to male/female dynamics in other people's lives as I have recently given up (lost) all male/female dynamics in my own life.

What I find most interesting is that when I (a male) walk past a single guy, or group of guys, most likely there is no eye contact or acknowledgement of my existence in any way.

If, on the other hand, that single guy or group of guys is accompanied by one or more girl, that guy will stare me down like he wants to know if I can smell what the Rock is cookin'.

Even more interesting is that I find myself doing the same thing, in those rare instances when I am accompanied by a female. No one does it on purpose, in fact I believe most guys don't even know they're doing it - it's like an instinct. It's also hilarious.

I'm a female SAP in front of guys...I always get paranoid that I'm displaying any sort of flirtatious behavior, so I overcompensate by acting like a dude. So no one will ever check me out...or so I hope. There is this really hot guy who works in my office, like the kind that literally makes me think "fuck fuck fuck what am I gonna do?! You better not act stupid!! Is there a stain on my shirt?" whenever we are in the same room. One time we were alone in the break room and I could literally hear myself gulp down nervousness as we reached for the fridge at the same time. That argument is not valid. EVERYONE'S experiences are their own. By your logic, we can never make an observation about anything. If you are trying to suggest that my sample size is too small to make the observation that I made, I would suggest that if a person has observed a behavior in many people of a particular sort, and that 100 percent of the people observed exhibiting that behavior have a certain personality type, then it is not out of the question to make a general assumption about those people. Granted, there is no rule about personalities that is true, universally.
