Werewolf barmitzvah, spooky scary.

Boys becoming men, men becoming wolves.

[–]Paulk6 194 points195 points ago

Fun fact: Donald Glover wrote this segment.

[–]jkruisb2 31 points32 points ago

Sorry to be that guy.

“I imagined that Tracy probably went to a bar mitzvah and thought, “Why are there no bar mitzvah songs playing at this party?’” said Mr. Carlock, who wrote the segment along with Tami Sagher.

(Source: New York Times article: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/25/arts/television/25were.html)

[–]FromDaHood 10 points11 points ago

Donald Glover did, however, sing Werewolf Barmitzvah

[–]Pank 3 points4 points ago

he sang WITH Tracy Morgan. Morgan did the majority of the vocals

[–]dclowd9901 1 point2 points ago

Everyone on this site thinks Donald Glover wrote that entire show.

He may not have, but that's okay, because one of my favorite jokes on the show was written by him.

[–]thecolorifix 29 points30 points ago

God dammit, I don't really like Donald Glover but I keep finding out he wrote my favorite 30 Rock stuff!

[–]GodspeakerVortka 116 points117 points ago

Why don't you like Donald Glover?

[–]TigerWizard 90 points91 points ago

Yeah, I thought I'd see a cat penis before I found someone who didn't like Donald Glover

1 down

[–]gargamelol 25 points26 points ago

Great writer, good actor, average comedian, terrible rapper

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points ago

[–]jackie_treehorn 34 points35 points ago

I think his rap is fine if you take it for what it is*. He's actually got some really clever lyrics if you ask me.

  • - Full disclosure: I listen to rap casually at best.

[–]homeboy5925 19 points20 points ago

if you're a casual fan, donald glover can easily be seen as really good. but if you listen to hip-hop a lot, he's pretty mediocre when the entire genre is taken into consideration.

I've been to a couple of his shows and watched his rap career grow from side project to what he's primarily known for, and I've noticed that a lot of his fans really dont listen to any other hip-hop besides him. that's cool, thats the market he's going for. but I also feel like that's the market he was forced into because hip-hop heads really werent feeling him so he had to go to the geeky route

[–]Cheeseball701 10 points11 points ago

He's primarily known for the rapping? That shouldn't be so.

[–]homeboy5925 1 point2 points ago

depends on your circles. I don't watch a lot of tv so his television work really isn't on the forefront of my mind. however I'm a huge music nerd and whatever festival i go to it seems he's there

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points ago

Everyone was telling me he was dope, I listened to Camp and while I think his lyrics are good, when you consider the production, the beats, etc., the album as a whole doesn't deserve 4 mics from the Source. Not terrible, not great. I think he's a work in progress.

[–]homeboy5925 1 point2 points ago

he definitely has potential, but he's just not my cup of tea. Some of my friends swear by him, but a lot of them really never listened to hip hop to begin with so their bar is really low. they just like anyone who isnt money/cars/bitches and who talks about being a lonely nerd (they are all lonely nerds).

[–]ColdCaulkCraig 15 points16 points ago

i would argue he is more than just an 'average' comedian. but that's just me.

[–]panky117 7 points8 points ago

listen to '2 chainz' for 30 seconds and try to call don glover a terrible rapper

[–]gargamelol 22 points23 points ago

2 chainz is better at what he does than childish gambino is at what he does. 2 chainz makes pop-rap. he does repetitive hooks and simple wordlplay adequately. nothing special but he's not trying to be

gambino is trying to do the "conscious rap" thing and it doesn't work. the lyrics are not insightful... they're just bad. he mistakes self-obsession for self-analysis, triteness for profundity, and speed for dexterity. he's a bad rapper.

[–]wtcnbrwndo4u 4 points5 points ago

Well put, I agree 100%.

[–]cac2976 9 points10 points ago

I have to disagree. I don't think Gambino (when he's rapping, I refer to him by his rap name) is trying to be "conscious" or complex. Many of his lines are way too hilarious for him to possibly think that he is being deep. I just take his music at surface level, not with any preconceived notion that he's trying to be something more and I find it entertaining.

Also, I'd argue most rappers are self obsessed. I think that's what the kids call "swag" nowadays.

[–]Mingus_Ah_Um 1 point2 points ago

What you said made no sense to me. CG isn't doing the "conscious rap" thing, he is just doing him. And if you don't like it, good. It's just not your thing. You not liking him does not make 2 Chainz a better rapper. Thats, just like, your opinion man, and comparing rap artists to each other isn't gonna get you anywhere.

[–]mic5228 4 points5 points ago

I agree, 2 chainz is a better rapper from a technical standpoint than Gambino.

[–]I_am_lonely 6 points7 points ago

For me, Childish Gambino's style is a welcome break from the usual themes of bravado, sexism, irrelevant shock value, and anger. I can understand why someone who might subscribe to "true rap" or "gangster rap" might not like him, but he raps about what he knows and with considerable skill--that's why I am a fan.

[–]1337and0 16 points17 points ago

I don't dislike Childish Gambino, but that statement just isn't true, its full of sexism, bravado, shock value and anger.

[–]jason_steakums 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, Glover actually lays the sexism on pretty thick sometimes, in both his rap and his comedy. If he's being ironic with that he's playing it a bit too realistic.

[–]jimcrator 1 point2 points ago

Seriously, I_am_lonely has no idea what he's talking about. Literally everything he said in that comment is wrong.

I don't dislike Childish Gambino, but that statement just isn't true, its full of sexism, bravado, shock value and anger.

Better yet, he has all of that in one music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qL1B_r9nC9k

(and he's also terrible at rapping)

[–]Odrakyr 1 point2 points ago

Do you really think that rap is just guys talking about "da club" and "bitches" and gangs? That's a really narrow minded point of view. I don't think you've listened to a lot of rap. There is some great rap and hip-hop out there, and compared to them Childish Gambino isn't really that great. Calling his music mediocre is a compliment. It seems to me that his fame is the main reason his music is so popular, because it sure isn't his talent

[–]thecolorifix 22 points23 points ago

Not sure, something about his delivery and or mannerisms just doesn't quite click with my comedic sensibilities.

[–]BoredValet 11 points12 points ago

I respect your opinion, give you an upvote, but seriously think you should give him a try. He is hilarious, from his skits on YouTube, his stand up comedy (he has a comedy central segment), his music, his character Troy on Community (one of the best characters on the show), to (as you had mentioned) the many contributions he has made on thirty rock. Check him out, I'm sure something will appeal to you!

[–]cjsolis 9 points10 points ago

Not to mention Mystery Team

[–]BoredValet 4 points5 points ago

Yes, of course, thought I had put that in there. If you have netflix Mystery Team is a must watch. The whole thing had me dying laughing. It's basically what I imagine it would be like if they let Troy from community make a movie.

[–]knightsmith39 3 points4 points ago

I don't think it's on netflix anymore. But it is on Hulu now

[–]BoredValet 1 point2 points ago

That sucks, when I saw it Netflix had it. Regardless though if you want to kill sometime that movie will definitely keep you entertained. It's like of Troy from community meets with Scooby Doo.

[–]W7ngless 10 points11 points ago

He must be a communist. Or something really bad. Like, a...Naziunist...sexual...philliac or something.

Not that I'm judging, people can be whatever they want, besides not-Donald-Glover-likers. That's forbidden.

[–]TheCarlos 22 points23 points ago

How can you not like Donald Glover?

  • He's Troy on Community
  • He's Childish Gambino
  • He's the soul of Derek Comedy
  • His stand up is fucking hilarious
  • He writes for NBC

[–]fish_tacoz 3 points4 points ago

I think hes a fantastic writer, but I don't think his stand up is very good.

[–]myhandleonreddit 8 points9 points ago

Easy: I watched Mystery Team.

[–]Sunflower_Fortunado 2 points3 points ago

I thought Mystery Team was like a good student film. By normal standards, it's pretty terrible. But they're all trying so hard that I just want to like it more than I actually do.

[–]ncocca 16 points17 points ago

Oh...so you don't LIKE him, you LOVE him! I get it now! (to each his own, good sir)

[–]gargamelol 3 points4 points ago

He's Childish Gambino

[–]gunslinger_006 2 points3 points ago

I'm not surprised, he is a funny and creative dude.

I laughed until it HURT the first time I saw the "Werewolf Barmitzvah" skit.

[–]hipster_band_name 2 points3 points ago

Werewolf barmitzvah

[–]PhiladelphiaIrish 168 points169 points ago

Bossypants really is a hilarious and enjoyable book. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for light summer reading.

[–]iAMaHUSKY 51 points52 points ago

Never actually read the text, but I've listened to the audio book probably half a dozen times now over the course of some of my work commutes.

she is amazing.

[–]StickySnacks 25 points26 points ago

who does the audio recording?

[–]Naniface 92 points93 points ago

Tina Fey

[–]Cloberella 66 points67 points ago

Tina Fey -- I HIGHLY recommend it. One of the rare occasions where I think the text is better in audio format, because it's read by the author with all the original and intended inflection and funny.

[–]DrVoodoo 13 points14 points ago

If you like "read by the author" I recommend Stephen King's Blood and Smoke. He just kills it. Most of the other stuff he reads is a bit meh, but him doing 1408 was just outstanding.

[–]powerchicken 24 points25 points ago

He just kills it.

This is where I hate the English language, when a phrase can be interpreted as both positive and negative...

[–]ncocca 32 points33 points ago

"yeah, i'm up for it" and "yea, im down with that"

this relationship always amuses me.

[–]snouz 2 points3 points ago

Exactly like in French, where 'terrible' can be both terrible and terrific. You sometimes have to guess.

[–]Disasstah 1 point2 points ago

That's cool.

[–]playinodds 1 point2 points ago

thats cool is always good, unless its something where the temperature is not supposed to be cool.

[–]EONS 1 point2 points ago

Hot turn of phrase yo.

[–]minikites 8 points9 points ago

David Sedaris is good at this too, I find.

[–]DrVoodoo 1 point2 points ago

He's the "Me Talk Pretty One Day" guy? I've not checked him out, but I've been curious. Any recommendations?

[–]So_Very_Awake 2 points3 points ago

Pretty much all of his stuff is hilarious. If you like dark humor, he's pretty much top notch. I really enjoyed "When You Are Engulfed in Flames". "Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk" is good as well, but very different from his other works. If you're into ironic parables, it's pretty great.

[–]evoim3 3 points4 points ago

Didn't they make a pretty good 1408 film adaption?

I think Samuel L Jackson was in it too.

[–]DrVoodoo 1 point2 points ago

They did, though it was only like the book in that there was a writer, a hotel manager, and a room called 1408. The book (short story/novella actually) is much, much more subtle. However, unlike most people who love the book, I actually liked the movie as well. This is likely because I'm one of those poor bastards who still likes John Cusack.

[–]festivusprime 2 points3 points ago

"'Snails cooked in shit'... it sounds French..."

[–]DrVoodoo 2 points3 points ago

This is NINE! All of your friends are now dead! Every friend is dead!

[–]Dennis_Smoore 1 point2 points ago

That whole time segment with the phone reminded me of Portal. Specifically GLaDOS. It was surreal.

[–]teratron 1 point2 points ago

read by the author

[–]rubberducky22 1 point2 points ago

She does, hence the appeal.

[–]johnylaw 2 points3 points ago

I recommend to you American on Purpose: The Improbable Adventures of an Unlikely Patriot, Craig Ferguson narrates his own audiobook. He had a very interesting life, very enjoyable.

[–]snowwrestler 8 points9 points ago

Nice try, Tina Fey.

[–]1337and0 167 points168 points ago

[–]powerchicken 55 points56 points ago

That... is actually quite clever.

[–]HellaBella7 9 points10 points ago

Why say "actually"? Did you not expect funny out of a comedian? I don't get why people use this word so much.

[–]glass_bottle 8 points9 points ago

Because spoken language is filled with unnecessary words, and we're not all angry about it. Without them, we might as well talk like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFiHaMdPPZE.

[–]TorchicBlaziken 2 points3 points ago

But this isn't spoken language. This is written language on the internet.

[–]horselover_fat 1 point2 points ago

Not everyone reads their posts over and over to make sure it is perfect. This is written, but Reddit isn't an English essay.

[–]powerchicken 4 points5 points ago

You're making the implication that I made the implication that I didn't expect Ellen to be amusing... Which I did not intend to.
Don't make so many fucking implications!

[–]yobobly 1 point2 points ago

Comedy != Cleverness.

[–]Neophyte12 3 points4 points ago

I'm not wearing a damn blouse...

[–]getthefuckoutofhere 115 points116 points ago

"lemon numbers among my employees"

[–]Azrael_ 17 points18 points ago

I have the biggest crush on her

[–]sulaymanf 49 points50 points ago

[–]Rainfly_X 21 points22 points ago

Putting "with my anus" in quotation marks was a subtle stroke of genius.

[–]medahman 28 points29 points ago

'Now go to bed, you crazy night owl! You have to be at NASA early in the morning. So they can look for your penis with the Hubble telescope.'

-Tina Fey

I think I like her even more after reading this.

[–]StinkinFinger 2 points3 points ago

"P.S. You know who does have a funny bone in her body? Your mom every night for a dollar."

-Tina Faye

So stealing that.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points ago

Now I understand why my little sister adores the woman.

[–]argv_minus_one 1 point2 points ago

I feel incredibly lucky to still be “catching your eye” “with my anus.”

LAWL

[–]timmyburns 41 points42 points ago

She's got three fucking feet (two lefts) in that black and white photo.

And frankly, I find additional feet extremely attractive

[–]jonnyrotten7 7 points8 points ago

The other foot belongs to that guy sitting down.

[–]snouz 21 points22 points ago

Another mystery resolved, Scooby Doo.

[–]RepostThatShit 2 points3 points ago

And he would have gotten away with it, too, and actually did for over 20 years.

[–]sicobsession 19 points20 points ago

I don't think it's so much the weight loss as it is the better fashion sense, make up, having a haircut that wasn't last seen on a male Russian figure skater, etc.

[–]MrRabbit 0 points1 point ago

Plus she weighs less now. That helps.

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]TheDroopy 6 points7 points ago

This is a much larger problem than her weight, in my opinion

[–]RedPaintedHouses 56 points57 points ago

That is fat?

[–]Fabbyfubz 50 points51 points ago

Technically, nobody ever said she was fat, just that she'd look pretty if she lost weight.

[–]Fabbyfubz 8 points9 points ago

Well, I meant to say that rogersmith25 and her College boyfriend didn't say she was fat.

[–]littlebanshee 20 points21 points ago

Seriously- it looks like a bad angle and a bad haircut to me, not fat.

[–]Givants 15 points16 points ago

Well not to be mean, but it's not what society calls skinny.

[–]Bitter_Idealist 9 points10 points ago

Right and there's absolutely nothing in between fat and skinny.

[–]KingofCraigland 6 points7 points ago

It's probably slightly overweight. Nothing to be ashamed of, but optimal health would undoubtedly require some weight loss.

[–]RedPaintedHouses 3 points4 points ago

It's what society should call healthy and/or shapely...or normal.

[–]treehorizon 11 points12 points ago

I'd say she looks much healthier now.

[–]gatorcage 1 point2 points ago

No, its what would make you feel better.

[–]MandysFace 16 points17 points ago

He was correct, but who the fuck cares? The point is, he was being a dick. A boyfriend should be attracted to you and not say "you'd be pretty if you lost weight".

I've been in this predicament (while being a healthy weight), and it's damaging. People should feel good with who they are as long as it's not damaging their health (being too fat or too thin to the point its damaging)

[–]DrCockanballs 7 points8 points ago

Dat ass

[–]manark 5 points6 points ago

she has nice hips

[–]broohaha 1 point2 points ago

In fairness, that photo was taken when she was with Second City (Chicago), which was after college (at University of Virginia).

[–]Landeyda 69 points70 points ago

Love how you're being down voted for being right and including evidence.

Guess fatties hate hearing how being fat isn't attractive to most people.

[–]rogersmith25 154 points155 points ago

I wasn't trying to be derisive. And his comment was certainly rude. But that doesn't mean it wasn't true.

Young Tina Fey

Tina Fey "now"

The evidence is incontrovertible.

[–]zipzopzoobitybop 196 points197 points ago

Bossypants actually has a hilarious section where she describes the hours and hours of work that go into a photoshoot to make her look like that.

[–]Tactful 34 points35 points ago

I'd be willing to put in the hours and work to make her look like she just had disappointing extra-marital sex with a fan.

[–]Zackeriess 11 points12 points ago

hours? I'd do it in minutes!

[–]jenchan13 2 points3 points ago

Oh man, I really want to read this book now.

[–]Jinnofthelamp 37 points38 points ago

You are right, a professional wardrobe team, stylist, studio, photographer, and Photoshop expert do make a world of difference.

[–]Thundahcaxzd 50 points51 points ago

the evidence is airbrushed

[–]Disasstah 13 points14 points ago

And making my pants tight.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points ago

whoo cares

[–]toadwarrior 27 points28 points ago

To be fair in one she's a poor / average income family student and having her picture taken with a shitty old camera and in the other she's a wealthy woman having her picture taken by a professional, make-up by a professional and almost certainly airbrushed.

[–]seamouse 14 points15 points ago

I believe the evidence is controvertible if you're comparing a blurry awkward headshot with a full-body professional studio shot where she's dressed like a sexy businesswoman.

[–]lornabalthazar 6 points7 points ago

You're also comparing someone in 1990 to someone in 2012. I cringe when I remember what I wore and what my hair looked like in the 90s. And I was a kid.

[–]morkoq 79 points80 points ago

yea her physical improvement has nothing to do with the millions of dollars she has now.

[–]no_myth 15 points16 points ago

nor does it have to do with the airbrush that has been vigorously applied to her entire person.

[–]ByJiminy 46 points47 points ago

Doesn't money help you buy more food, not less?

[–]morkoq 119 points120 points ago

maybe if you're starving. otherwise i think it helps you buy better quality food.

[–]wayndom 26 points27 points ago

It helps you hire a personal trainer who slaps the Big Macs out of your hand before they can reach your mouth...

[–]icouldbewrongbut 6 points7 points ago

It also helps you buy healthier food and a fitness trainer...

[–]OxyIR 20 points21 points ago

Money help you buy better food...

[–]well_golly 10 points11 points ago

Money helps you buy special cheesecake made from the leaves of three endangered trees. Cheesecake that tastes 5x better than real cheesecake, and has about 30 calories per entire cheesecake.

So you just eat these $10,000 cheesecakes all the time and BAM! Weight loss.

OK - Actually, I'm kind of serious. If you can swing a personal chef, you can make it their mission to create gorgeous delicious low calorie food, and avail that good stuff to you 24x7.

[–]stillalone 10 points11 points ago

Money helps you buy aids. Who help you with your diet and exercise.

[–]wakko_warner 35 points36 points ago

Fairly certain you meant aides.

[–]IHaveNoNipples 2 points3 points ago

Ayds also would make sense.

[–]spicy_jose 7 points8 points ago

I use Subway and aids. And I want to bring aids to all of Africa so that they can all live healthier also!!

(It's a South Park joke, he meant aids cause that's what everybody thought Jarrod was talking about)

[–]cuntstep 7 points8 points ago

No, he meant aides. The joke doesn't work in print. Everyone thinks he means AIDS, when in fact he means aides.

[–]Zeppelanoid 3 points4 points ago

Young Tina Fey looks EXACTLY like my mom at that age.

[–]shippfaced 3 points4 points ago

And heavily photoshopped.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points ago

Woah, professional make-up and lighting and posing and photoshop vs. a shitty shit photo from the 80s?

[–]seattleque 16 points17 points ago

I would totally help her make babies.

[–]Apostolate 6 points7 points ago

By finding her a great bf on okcupid?

[–]alanispani 10 points11 points ago

[–]michellemustudy 4 points5 points ago

This has got to be fake. It just has to be..

[–]alanispani 11 points12 points ago

Haha, it actually is!

It's a redditor from about 2 years ago who posed as the ultimate douche on OkCupid, I really recommend a full read, as it's hilarious.

Post 1, 2 and 3.

Bonus

[–]seattleque 6 points7 points ago

Yeah, that's it.

[–]BlazeOrangeDeer 3 points4 points ago

teen-a fey

[–]shiksappeal 2 points3 points ago

You're using that 'Young Tina Fey' photo as proof she was fat? Am I the only one who sees a head & shoulders shot only? And quite defined collarbones? Last time I checked, you don't usually see defined collarbones on fatties.

[–]PatAunces 50 points51 points ago

It's not about whether College Boyfriend 1990 was correct or not. She put him on the back cover because he was being a dick. You're missing the point entirely, it's not to debate whether that fine scholar of a man made a truthful statement.

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]SS1989 4 points5 points ago

Picking on fat people sure helps you forget about your own shortcomings, doesn't it? Namely, the fact that you're probably one ugly, probably overweight, undateable SOB.

[–]Vitalic123 12 points13 points ago

Oh look, it's mister Confirmation Bias.

[–]DreadandButter 9 points10 points ago

Being fat isn't attractive? Shit. Time to lose weight.

Edit: Don't worry, guys, I'm fat. I'm allowed to make this joke.

[–]captainhendrix 5 points6 points ago

Yeah fuck those fat people

[–]scarydairy 1 point2 points ago

Butthurt fatty nobody is talking to you

[–]Landeyda 16 points17 points ago

No thanks.

[–]stryder3323 12 points13 points ago

Hey, if you don't want 'em, I'll take 'em.

[–]holyshityouarecrazy 20 points21 points ago

This guy gets serious serious play between complaining about bf3 and complaining about how offended he is when someone tells him to stop being a dickbag.

[–]ATownStomp 5 points6 points ago

I would downvote him but I chuckled at his comment.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points ago

Yeah I'm sure Tina Fey and her millions of dollars and accomplishments greater than yours are very, very sad about the extra poundage.

[–]Bitter_Idealist 2 points3 points ago

She's not even that fat.

[–]BlitheCynic 4 points5 points ago

More to love.

[–]HearshotAtomDisaster 1 point2 points ago

This is my every day life in San Antonio, Texas, at a whopping 5foot10, 136 lbs, at 31, and still have the metabolism of a 14 year old.

But to be honest, she doesn't look terrible in 1990. And she only looks the way she does now because she's gone through the "GE/NBC TV Ready Glamathon".

She kinda looked like Ricki Lake, tbh...

[–]Elkang 11 points12 points ago

at 5'10" i can't understand how 136lbs is considered whopping. sounds pretty great to me.

[–]cats_only 2 points3 points ago

I think it was the height, not weight, she was referring to.

[–]stryder3323 7 points8 points ago

Yup, that being whopping just made me feel 40x worse.

[–]iGotChubs4You 1 point2 points ago

Millions of dollars and fame can definitely help, too.

[–]menomenaa 9 points10 points ago

They found that the cover actually did hinder sales, though it didn't matter because it was such a bestseller.

[–]lessmiserables 2 points3 points ago

I agree. I'm not going to say it was the sole reason I didn't pick it up but...geesh.

I will totally believe that people who don't really know who Tina Fey was but could have been convinced didn't pick up the book specifically because of that gross cover.

Tina Fey's career should be in the Guinness Book for "longest continuous humblebrag".

[–]dclowd9901 8 points9 points ago

So what? It's not like she isn't funny. And if she isn't funny to you, that's another argument.

[–]Mrzeede 4 points5 points ago

"She is absolutely funny and if you think otherwise you are WRONG!"

[–]joeyfudgepants 2 points3 points ago

Tina Fey is hilarious. She keeps telling us so. (In a very self-depricating way, obviously).

[–]I_got_syphilis_from 2 points3 points ago

Sometimes I wish the entire entertainment industry can thrive on "humblebrag", instead of just "brag". Then at least we can bitch about things we know our least favorite stars regretted. The PR industry would commit mass suicide before this happens though.

The PR industry would commit mass suicide before this happens though.

So it's a win win!

The things you miss with the Kindle versions.

[–]jappleseed12 6 points7 points ago

I would marry the shit out of Tina Fey.

[–]CheezeburgerTroll 5 points6 points ago

I want to get praised by someone who eats books

[–]themostoriginalname 4 points5 points ago

I can't be the only one who read all of that in her voice?

[–]I_Am_Indifferent 7 points8 points ago

"Cute smile, awesome hips, strips down to her bra regularly on her own show, funny as fuck and clever to boot." - I_Am_Indifferent.

[–]mbalda 5 points6 points ago

There ain't no party a Liz Lemon party 'cause a Liz Lemon party is MANDATORY

[–]ninoffmaniak 3 points4 points ago

on one side owning audiobook you miss some of this things but on other hand audiobook is narrated by tina her self

[–]rockmongoose 3 points4 points ago

I love that her childhood photo has her awkward camera smile too!

[–]Stomo 18 points19 points ago

'Totally worth it' -r/trees

[–]Golgatem 3 points4 points ago

I had to read it twice in order to figure out what it might have meant OTHER than r/trees.

[–]Treees 1 point2 points ago

She got my quote right but my name wrong.

[–]WalterWinkle 2 points3 points ago

I love her.

<3 Tina Fey _^

[–]Exodor 23 points24 points ago

Is this just a picture of the back of her book? What a strange post.

[–]capt_0bvious 6 points7 points ago

stop fucking instagram filtering everything.

[–]Bill_Mountain 4 points5 points ago

I think the quality of the photo goes down everytime it gets posted. But seriously, I wanted to love this book but I just didn't.

[–]wes337 1 point2 points ago

Uh oh, you have a different opinion than the hivemind! Better downvote you!

[–]paulseagull 8 points9 points ago

I truly love Tina Fey. She's so wonderful.

[–]liquid_j 1 point2 points ago

I bought and read this book... though I love her TV writing, I found her book wasn't as good as I expected it to be. Still a fan and all, I guess I just expected more from such a terrific writer. (I found Samantha Bee's book way better...)

[–]kapowaz 1 point2 points ago

She looks kind of like Joffrey there…

[–]WhiskeyTangoF 1 point2 points ago

This is from the back of Jon Stewart's Earth: The Book

[–]DelayedChaos 1 point2 points ago

She on her role model shit.

[–]knirefnel 2 points3 points ago

Reminds me of the back cover of Maddox's book

[–]Scoopgoop 4 points5 points ago

My only problem with Tina Fey is that she reaches max level of corny after a while. I can let a few things slip and still lover her but she just gets to be too much.

[–]festivusprime 19 points20 points ago

Hand her over to me, I can lover her long time.
