What's really going to blow your mind is that Marty never truly returns home, he instead goes to an alternate timeline where his family is successful. Marty will never ever see the parents and siblings he grew up with and loved.

[–]geckofishknight 6 points7 points ago

yea but the idea was that his old family sucked.

[–]abagofdicks 1 point2 points ago

The worst part is, he is just cool with it.

[–]ReallyNotACylon 0 points1 point ago

Still, they were his family. The moments he shared with them, gone forever. Does he have memories of this new family or was his memories replaced?

[–]DroolingIguana 2 points3 points ago

My theory is that his memories were replaced, but it took a little while for this to happen due to the ripple effect. This would explain the personality change that he went through between the original movie and the sequels ("Nobody calls me chicken.")

[–]ToxicMonkeyY2K 1 point2 points ago

Who needs memories when you've got a new truck.

[–]ReallyNotACylon 1 point2 points ago

It was a nice truck.

[–]Alias28 19 points20 points ago

everyone knows about that now

"I bet you never noticed this"

Yeah, but only if we're younger than 12 years old.

This thread is bad and you should feel bad.

What next, you'll tell us how an alien pops out of stomachs in the movie alien?

[–]Dr_Emmet_Brown 1 point2 points ago

Chest. Not stomach.

[–]IGotFancyHair 10 points11 points ago

Umm.. Yeah, I did notice this. The first time I saw the film and the other 160 times I have seen it.

[–]abagofdicks 1 point2 points ago

NEVERR!

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points ago

I did not. I know it now.

[–]Big_Vigilante 4 points5 points ago

I'll bet everyone who ever saw this movie noticed that.

[–]neurot 1 point2 points ago

i bet it was only u

[–]KingOfCopenhagen 1 point2 points ago

you bet? Well you lost, so why don't you make like a tree and get out of here

[–]CDNChaoZ 0 points1 point ago

It's "leave" you idiot! "Make like a tree, and leave." You sound like a damn fool when you say it wrong.

[–]KingOfCopenhagen 0 points1 point ago

all right leave and take your book with you

  • to those downvoting this person for calling me an fool, he wasn't, he was merely continuing the quote

[–]Irishperson69 1 point2 points ago

Dude I never noticed that! That's pretty awesome. Gotta love BTTF for stuff like this

Also, screw you trolls. OP thought it was cool, so why badmouth him/her? I've loved these movies since I was like, 4 or 5 years old, and never noticed that. Just cuz you know or noticed something someone else didn't, doesn't mean you have to be a condescending asshole about it

[–]DTX120 0 points1 point ago

I didn't know this. Of course I've only seen the movie a few times and it's been a while.

[–]110rdr33f4 0 points1 point ago

Did, too.

[–]Dr_Emmet_Brown 0 points1 point ago

Did you think I was messing around when I said you'd see some serious shit?!

[–]knyghtmare 0 points1 point ago

A better one is that the Delorean never starts if it's running somewhere else at the same time.

[–]fenwayswimmr 0 points1 point ago

That cracked me up the first time I noticed it

[–]gmsc 0 points1 point ago

If you missed that, there's likely a few other things you missed:

-In 1955, there's a campaign truck for Mayor Redd Thomas promising more jobs. When Marty sees the town bum and realizes he's back in 1985, he says,"Oh, Redd, good."

-The credits list old man Peabody's son as "Sherman"

-The endless list of doubled things: Marty McFly's initials, every letter in Doc Brown's first name (Emmett), the Ls in Hill Valley, 1.21 = 1.1 times 1.1, etc...

[–]geckofishknight 1 point2 points ago

Nice! I love the subtle stuff in movies.

[–]TreTreTre 0 points1 point ago

This would have a better showing on /r/amnesiacs.

[–]DorkmanScott -1 points0 points ago

I win the bet. What do you owe me?

[–]shall1313 -1 points0 points ago

Bet you I did.

Also, my mom used to go to that mall all the time (she lived in Whittier).

[–]Smashinator -1 points0 points ago

Even if I hadn't seen this all over the internet, it isn't as though this is an "easter egg". It's pretty straightforward.

tl;dr: Repost

the period goes inside the quotation mark, newb.
