I hate hearing everyone say that you should trim and not shave. My ex shaved his, and my god, I could not keep my hands and mouth off of his balls. So soft, so smooth...

I can't say for sure how different it is for men, but I'm pretty sure if you're having this experience, it shouldn't be "never again." It should be, "never again like this!" because you're doing it wrong. Give it another shot and do it right this time.

Found a great technique for balls. Keep a blunt razor in the shower to maintain the hairlessness. Those that are too blunt to shave you face are perfect. Those wont induce the horrible burning sensation.

Echoing a couple of girls: don't shave; get it professionally waxed, at least the first time, get some exfoliant and aloe, use exfoliant every other day and aloe whenever it itches. You have to shave down and with generous amounts of shaving cream. Be careful when you go below your genatals, it takes a bit of skill. Just be calm and accept that there will always be a bit of hair down there.

I trimmed up last night. Never shave completely. I did that once and it was horrible, had to put moisturizer on constantly just to tolerate it. Get an electric trimmer and trim that baby up.
