When I see a free sample at the supermarket

You forgot to leave you cart sideways in the middle of the isle while you go for your tiny yummies. Then you need to nibble them and look pleased at the treats table. After a moment you grab another one or two to take back to your spouse and/or children.

Once Costco started having the free samples tables more often we stopped going down the main isles with our carts. Too many people just park there without even considering the rest of the universe. We just run the outside with the cart and carry our items to it. It's much faster and way less stressful on a busy day.

My little brother is a pro at getting free samples. Especially at places like Costco, he'll go grab a hat or sunglasses and other disguises to maximize the amount of samples he can trick the lady into giving him.

As someone who works there I advise you not to eat that. My store leaves them out for hours then just adds more to them instead of rotating them. Usually I put them out at 10 and when I leave at 4 it's still there...
