A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports).

Saying Dissidia is the best Final Fantasy is like saying Smash Bros. Melee is the best Mario game. Dissidia is more of a conglomerate of games not a true Final Fantasy game in the sense of the series.

Saying Super Smash Bros. Melee is the best Mario game is wrong. But is the game called Super Mario Smash Bros. Melee and all the characters in the game from different Mario Universes? Pretty sure Dissidia Final Fantasy can qualify as a legit Final Fantasy title. It's like saying Final Fantasy Tactics can't be the best Final Fantasy because......it's tactics. You can't just discard of a game from a series because it have different gameplay and maybe takes some characters from the others in the series. In that case there is only one Final Fantasy, because the characters Bahamut, Ifrit and Cid not to talk about moogles reappers in the different FF games and the gameplay changes between games.

It is probably more correct to say it isn't a Final Fantasy-game. Period. I have nothing against the game at all, but it's a collection of all (read: a lot of) the main characters in the current Final Fantasy-games; Final Fantasy All-Stars.

Besides, you wouldn't call Kingdom Hearts a Final Fantasy-game, even though it has Cloud, Squall/Leon, Aerith/Aeris, Tifa, Yuffie, Yuna, Rikku, Paine, Tidus, Wakka, Selphie, Zack Fair and Sephiroth in them, would you?

Yeah, cause the entire game isn't based on Final Fantasy characters but also Disney and original characters. It would be a huge difference if the game ONLY had FF characters, but now it doesn't. Think before you write next time please.

Don't complain about a repost, because, if a majority of people have seen it before, and know it's a repost, it will get down voted. If the majority of people haven't seen it, then it is fine on the front page.

There's not really a conversation, it's just a gif of Sephiroth flailing around with the ability to post comments about it. I posted a comment saying how I didn't like Final Fantasy.

I kinda feel like they're prolonging the series a little too much. By all means, they're not like the Call of Duty series (Literally; Same Shit Different Day), whereas the FF series brings a whole new cast and enemy every time. But really, it has to end somewhere, right?
