Its obvious because its a picture of someone holding a sign for the camera. Its a perfect picture for an easy Photoshop and is similar to other photos that are basically made to be photoshopped to say whatever you want them to. Like Daniel tosh's whiteboard picture you can make say whatever you want.

It is a style of architecture called Brutalist. Theres a couple buildings like this at UMASS Amherst. I hate it more every day.

I love Brutalist architecture, and I've always wanted to visit the Boston City Hall. I think it looks fascinating, like a rogue Mondrian composition realized in concrete and glass.

I think what bothers me is that all other buildings on campus (old and new) are red brick and the brutalist buildings just don't fit.

Yeah I get that. A lot of schools, mine included, are like that, and it's usually kind of off putting. We have this crazy half parabola like building at Vandy called Olin Hall. It's very strange and doesn't really fit.
