Funnily enough, I actually did so a time or two during my indoctrinated childhood. It was right after being taught the verse "love thy enemies as thyself." and Satan was always referred to as the greatest enemy. I remember thinking that if I could ask God to "save" Satan, then there wouldn't have to be a hell any more. It's kind of odd when I think about it now, so many believers yet no one seems to realize or acknowledge this loophole.
